The Seeker’s Respite is a frequent first stop for Starfindersreturning to Absalom Station from expeditions. Locatedin the Arms section of Absalom Station, this cantina isknown for catering to off-duty Starfinders, especiallythose seeking to get a bit of distance from the Lorespire Complex. Whether the six of you have just finished a mission or are simply there tomingle with friends and colleagues, you arrive just as the cantina begins to fill up for the evening.
Dalteno tends the bar. A grizzled witchwyrd of indeterminate age, Dalteno retired from the Starfinder Society over 10 years ago after losing an arm during a mission. Known by their trademark white bowler hat, Dalteno uses their four hands (one cybernetic replacement) to dexterously mix drinks all night for thirsty Starfinders.

A mechanical re-creation of a reptilian hypercarnivore from Castrovel known as a renkroda rests in a corner of the cantina. The renkroda is positioned so that passersby can enjoy watching patrons attempting to ride it. As the Starfinders approach the contraption, they see Avor Stelek, a hylki man from Akiton, dismounting after a victorious romp.
A small placard at the base of the renkroda indicates that it was a gift from the Esowath Conservancy.
Further inside the Seekers Respite the Starfinders see a small gathering. A new Starfinder has joined the ranks, having just completed her commencement. The rookie Starfinder Wirath (female vlaka) is celebrating her acceptance into the Starfinder Society with a few friends, a few drinks, and some hot appetizers. The Starfinders can introduce themselves, if they haven’t met Wirath before, and congratulate the recent addition, who is eager to hear from veteran Starfinders what type of missions they’re interested in.
A much-used karaoke machine sits in the corner, and a dashing and colorful strix named Psatsin is currently belting out one of the band Abysshead’s newest hits.

As Ion walks in and greets with his fellow starfinder friends the looks and the new guy and introduce his self.
"Hey Wirath! Welcome to the society. I would like to introduce my self I am Ion and I've been with the society for a while now and I've been on many adventures with these goons. I would like to buy you a drink with jinn and have a seat at the table with these other fools that I would give my life for!!
Wirath Im telling you this if you come with us you'll either break and run or you will be a become the starfinder that you wanted to be and fight with us tell the end of time.....well youre end of time.... "as Ion chuckles a little bit and drinks his other beer."

A Sarcesian in professional's clothing with data pad in hand will walk up to the bar and place the data pad face down, showing a big logo of Abadar Corp on it. Marveen will walk up to the bar and order a drink then look over and see Xin-Haran.
"Hey Xin how are you? Been a little bit since that last mission we were on." He will look over at Wirath. "Hello and Welcome to the Starfinder Society. My name is Marveen Marcian, it is always fantastic to see new recruits to the Starfinder Society. I don't know where I would be without them."
Lionel saddles up and waits for the starting buzzer. The Pahtra showboats a bit on the mechanical renkroda to the cheers of spectators.
Wirath nods at the fellow Starfinders as they approach. "Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm sure we all share, deep down, a desire to see the unknown. That's what drew my interest. I want to travel and explore. What are some of the exciting places you all have been?
Ion, seeing Lionel make the the renkroda look easy, takes a turn. Goes the buzzer. The Kastha, with his four arms, shows the Pahtra how it's done eliciting more admiration from the crowd.

Xin and myself have been to the artic mining world of Zeyther-3 to help with an issue they were having with an outbreak of gutmelt. Also saved a Renkrodas on Castrovel. It is so much fun see all the new places and meeting new people. If you want to see the unknown then you are definitely in the right place.

Lionel walks up behind Marveen, slapping his back and joining in the conversation, "And dont forget, we Starfinders are the sword of the Pact Worlds, raining justice upon those who stand against us with trained tactical force. For it is not only your duty to be a shining example in the eye's of others but also a shining example on the field of battle, because sometimes the sword is needed more than the pen."

Looking to Lionel.
”No doubt. I think all of us here have seen some sort of combat. It’s never pretty, and unfortunate when it becomes unavoidable. As our friend here has said, well, paraphrasing a bit, but this big universe of ours, it can be a harsh place. And it doesn’t much like any of us. But if you look for it, there is beauty and peace to be found out there.”

To Ygbro, "To some that beauty is on the end of your barrel and the peace is pulling the trigger." Lionel throws a friendly jab with his elbow. "Ha ha! Seriously though, I may find the excitement of battle to be thrilling but it's meaningless when you're not protecting your friends and allies. There's no honor in seeking out a fight, but when one breaks out, you're darn sure I'll guard those I care about. That includes the all the people of the pact worlds and those helpless to defend themselves. If it can be done peacefully, all the better, but always be prepared to fight if it comes to it. More times than not it has in my experience."
Wirath gets a puzzled look on her face. She contemplates what was said for a moment and then responds, "I thought the Stewards were the Pact Worlds Police force? I'm not sure this sounds like the calling I felt. I know things can be dangerous, especially in the unknown, but I didn't join up to enforce laws or be anyone's sword arm. Maybe this won't be a good fit for me after all."
She turns to Ion and says, "I am not a dog. I am a Vlaka. Any assumptions you make based upon my appearance are just that. I am capable of complex thought and emotion. I would never assume that just because you have four arms, that you are the same as a four armed badger mole of Sinqunces 6. I would appreciate the same courtesy from a new colleague."
She turns to Marveen and says, "Zethyr-3? That's the Izalguun home world right? I performed my commencement with an Izalguun!"

Yes it is, it was a fascinating place and I was really glad that we could help them when they were in need. Excuse my colleagues here they can come off a little strong and rude sometimes.
But honestly if you want to see new things, meet new species you have never seen before and help people in need, then you are 100% in the right place. Welcome aboard.
Marveen will stick out his hand to shake Wiraths hand.

Ion spits out his beer in bad saying didn't think that he would of offended her I'm so sorry wirath I didn't mean to offend you I was seeing how you would of react to what I said about cats and dogs...I know that you are a vlaka and a pretty good looking one to I'm not hitting on you I'm just saying is that if we give you grief and you cant take it the how you gonna take it with other vet starfinders and we are not the pac world police force we are the starfinders that do good deeds to help others that the pack world police cant attend to. We help others that cant be helped by the pac world police.

Lionel laughs a little to Wirath's comment. "You need not worry. I didnt say we were law enforcers but we dont go around breaking laws either... if at all possible. Way I see it, we as Starfinders are a specialized task force. A voice for the pact worlds as well as a sword when needed. Explorers to discover the unknown and scientists to analyze all things new on our travels. As well as brave Soldiers and other combatants. We are a mix of great people who venture out to accomplish great deeds."

Jinn looks at Wirath " Forgive my comrades here some are little rude and speak with knowing the full meaning of there words" Jinn than looks at Ion. " We all have a reason for joining, yes sometime you must fight however there are time when pace with over come a fight.

Marveen shakes his head at the sight of Ion. He looks at Wirath, "Excuse me for one second." Marveen walks up closer to Ion, "I think you should slow down on the drinking, your making yourself and us look like fools. We can have fun and not look like bumbling fools." Marveen will shake his head and head back over to the bar.

Ion walks over to marveen after he is done singing his song.
Marveen Im sorry for my tipsy.... and yes I do need to present my self better to rookies and show them that I am better then this. Then ion looks at wirath and says Look wirath i've been gone for a while and havent been to a place like this to have a good time. Please join us on this mission we can show you what..... what..... what we can do and see what the galaxy can show you the real universe and come see for you're self what the starfinder society is all about we make friends in the end and get many goods when its all said and done.

Lionel walks over to the bar, ignoring Ion's request. That sort of thing just isn't Lionel's kind of fun. He's better at showing his grace on the battlefield than on the dancefloor. "I'll have a Veskarium Ale and cola, heavy on the Ale, light on the ice, with a shower pinch to it, stirred not shaken."
Lionel will make his way back to the group where Wirath is at.
"So Wirath, Lionel takes a sip of his concoction, was there anything you'd like to ask us? Any questions? Concerns? Curious of anything?"
Suddenly the glass window next to the mechanical renkroda explodes inward with a roar, and echoes of shouting and laser fire can be heard coming from outside the cantina.
