Mattias calls out the alarm and strides forward

Benya is slow to react

Conso rushes across the camp raising his shield.

Raznik slips out of the goblin tents to the edge as he starts to hunt his prey.

Mirtha blesses Conso’s sword, then retreats from the wall

Mingxia prepares for battle adding a magic enchantment to her glave and shielding herself.

Mattias blasts the fence with a ray of frost, but she doesn’t think she hit the cat.

The noisy cat climbs over the fence and slashes at Conso. The bite is deflected by Conso’s raised shield and the claw misses entirely.

You hear goblins screams from both the Hospital and the southern tents, but can’t see the attacking cats due to cover and darkness.

If you have a line of sight, then yes.

Light spell casting bright light in a 20-foot radius (and dim light for the next 20 feet) like a torch.

Bonfire - Pretty much everywhere inside the wall is dim light, and within 20ft of the center is bright light level.

Outside the walls is dark

Dim Light - Creatures and objects in dim light have the concealed condition unless the seeker has darkvision or low-light vision (see Special Senses on page 465), or a precise sense other than vision.

Raznik sneaks towards the hospital wondering how the cats got inside the fencing. He spots one with reddish fur and nocks an arrow just for him. He eases around the fence and quickly fires at the cat.

Benya strides southwards to cover Mirtha, and sees the green cat with her darkvision. She finishes her stride adjacent to it, and whistles for Fang.

Fang rushes around to flank and strikes with a bite.

Seeing that there are more of them, Mattias changes his element. "Let's see if we can conjure a memory of the Skarr storms from 4643 Gypsos." Mattias then waves his arms in jagged motions conjuring static around his wrists.

Mirtha moves south and throws magic fire at the green cat hitting it with a solid bolt. The cat standing over a freshly killed goblin, screeches from the burning pain and fixes Mirtha with a deadly glare.

Raznik sneaks towards the hospital around the edge of the fence, an unfortunate step alerts the cat to the goblins’ presence just before he attacked. The first arrow still hits wounding the cat as the arrow strikes. The cat growls at Raznik with hate.

Benya strides south to attack the green cat as she whistles for Fang to attack. Fang rushes around to flank the cat biting the cat hard. Benya follows up with a vicious axe blow to the cat, but it isn’t enough to kill it.

Conso calls out a warning as he attacks the Orange cat brings his enchanted sword down hitting the cat a solid blow but doesn’t kill it. He raises his shield to fend off a counter-attack.

Mingxia rushes towards the hospital slashing at the red cat only to miss due to the shadows.

Mattias mutters about conjuring storms as she uses magic to shock the green and orange cats. The orange cat avoids all damage with its cat-like reflexes, but the green one takes the full force of the zap. The green cat drops dead!

The blue cat with a dead goblin in its jaws easily climbs over the fence and moves away from the camp into the darkness.

The Red grows threatening before it too climbs the fence leaving a dead goblin corps. It too moves away into the darkness.

The Orange cat bites Conso Hard then climb the fence fleeing into the darkness!

Conso - you can shield block the attack or take a AoO on it as it flees.

Blue and red are 60ft into the darkness and cover.
Orange one if not killed is 30ft into the darkness and cover.

"Raznik, don't let them escape!" Mirtha shouts, compulsing the ranger to kill the fleeing cats.

Diabolic Edict, +1 status bonus to attacks and skill checks, -1 penalty to do anything else (but you can also resist the spell without a save.)

Mirtha then flings her holy symbol as hard as she can over the fence at the fleeing cats direction so that others could benefit from the light spell on it.

Benya watches the retreating cats.

She marks one as her prey, fairly certain that she could track them down, then looks around at the Pathfinders near her.

"I can keep pace with them, or even chase them down, but I don't think the rest of you could keep up in the dark."

She climbs over the fence, dropping to the ground outside, and whistles.
Fang zooms along the fenceline, out the gate, back along the fence and stops next to her.

It would seem advantageous to AoO, but truthfully, Conso raised his shield and would have shield blocked, so I'll go with that. Thanks for the choice, though, GM.

Conso climbs the fence and drops down on the other side. Seeing the rapidly retreating cat, he drops sword and shield and pulls out his shortbow and fires.

Will use assurance for the athletics check if I can (+8). And this is if low-light vision is enough to take a shot. I know there'll be some kind of penalty, but Conso will want to try to stop the beast from getting away.

Mirtha shouts as she cast a compulsion on the ranger to kill the cats. She throws her light-emitting holy symbol after the cats.

Raznik moves up to the 5-foot wooden log fence and tries to shoot between the gaps at the retreating cats. All his shots fail to hit the cats.

Benya climbs over the fence ready to chase after the cats. She calls Fang to her side.

Conso having blocked the cat’s previous bite, he climbs the fence before drawing and firing his bow at the retreating cat the arrow hits but does minimal damage.

The cats continue to flee into the night vanishing into the scrub bush.

It’s early in the morning an hour before dawn. Your group has been guarding the camp all night. There is a fresh trail with blood to follow if you wish or you can stay and guard the camp.

Benya works with Raznik to try to locate the tracks, with Fang sniffing around with his keen nose too.

I am once again indebted to you, Conso says and thanks Mirtha for her healing.

If we fink we can eliminate the threat to the goblins, dat would be good. But at de same time, I do not wish to leave them unprotected... Conso scratches his chin and looks around. How are we all holding up?

Any risk of fatigue if we go without some rest?

Mirtha bandages up Conso and he is as good as new.

Raznik moves around the outside the camp trying to follow the cat tracks. He keeps finding and losing the train finding it difficult to follow.

Benya works with Raznik and points out little signs like shifted sand or a strand of cat hair on a bush, she and Fang can follow the tracks easily enough to see where the cats went.

Conso thanks Mirtha then debates going after the cats or guarding the camp.

Continuing for more than 16 hours without rest results in fatigue. Your group has spent 8 hours guarding the camp, So you can go another 8 without fatigue.

Three of the cats got away. One cat is dead. They managed to kill three goblins in the attack and took one of the goblin bodies with them.

Zig and the rest of the camp of goblins are up after the attack. Zig sighs, ” Another attack and two dead goblins and one missing. The bridge isn’t going to get finished at this rate. At least you killed one of the creatures. Most likely they won’t be back for a day or two. What’s the plan?” Zig looks hopefully to your group.

Benya feels she can track the cats to their lair.

Raznik points to Benya. "We track them and follow to their lair. Not wait for them to attack again. If we can find them, then we stop the attacks even if we can't kill them all. Hurt them again and keep them licking wounds. They not be expecting that since they have been able to attack over and over. If we can kill more, maybe they run away."

Have we rested between the kobold fight and guarding the camp? I used a spell in both fights and just want to keep track of what I have.

"There has been too many losses already. We should strike while some of the cats are still wounded. It doesn't look like anyone is hurt, but we should take the time we need to ensure we are ready for another fight." Mirtha looks at Conso's dented shield disapprovingly. "Your wounds are taken care of but your gear is a mess. You should really take better care of your equipment, Conso," she scolds as she shakes her head in disapproval. "Find someone to help you take care of that before we go."

Conso agrees that they should pursue the cats, but looks a little embarrassed at Mirtha's scolding. Ah, yes, it would be wise to repair my shield. He thanks Mingxia for her attempt. Well, it will hold up a little longer, I fink...

Due to his slow speed, Mattias only participated in the battle at range. Outside of being puffed, and dark circles forming around his eyes, he's ready for action.

"Mirtha is right. if Benya can track to the lair after the sands have shifted tomorrow, then we shall rest. If she can't, then I feel we must make a move with haste."

GM are we tracking footsteps in the sand? I worry that resting overnight will undo those tracks. If we need to go now, confirm else Mattias will go back to watch/rest cycle.

Raznik is willing to wait as much as an hour, but he wants to track them down.

No spell recovery until you have 8 hours rest.

Raznik is for following the cats to their lair without delay.

Mirtha suggests taking time to be ready for the fight, but should strike as soon as they can.

Mingxia attempts to repair Conso’s shield, but the dent is deep and needs more time to repair.

Conso agrees with the plan to pursue the cats.

Mattias would rather rest first, before tracking the cats unless the sands will cover them.

Raznik dosn’t want to wait

The group decides to follow the tracks now rather than wait and possibly risk losing the trail.

Over the next couple of hours, Benya tracks the cats towards some stony hills. She finds the trail leads to a cave entrance in the hills. Benya is sure the cats are in the cave.

Raznik secures a weapon potency crystal to his bow, then he points up above the cave entrance. Bitey flies up to have above. The goblin begins to sneak up to the cave.

Still hunting the red cat, Raznik sneaks up to the cave.

Benya follows Raznik’s example and stealthy moves up to the cave.

Conso readies his sword and shield.

Mirtha stays in the middle of the group and creates light on her holy symbol.

Mattias hangs back trying not to attack attention.

The group stealthily enters the cave that quickly opens into a large chamber with the scattered remains and bones of goblins and other prey. There are two large fire pits burning from across a chasm and various torches that light the chamber sufficiently. The chamber has several levels overlooking the main chamber putting your group at an elevation disadvantage.

The three cats can be seen licking their wounds on the platform to the right and some wild humanoid can be seen moving about on the elevated rock at the far end of the cavern.

Only Raznik and Bitey entrance into the cave go undetected by the large cats.

You hear a female voice from within the cave speaking in purring tones to the cats, ” Awaken from you naps my kittens, the prey has come to us can you not smell the stench of civilization on them! Attack!”

Mattias is not very stealthy at all, so will let the others complete their stealth mission.

Instead, forming a wide stance, Mattias begins to channel elements from the ground. Stones and earth begin to float upwards as he bends the world to his will.

From the power of earth, icicles begin to form, even in the arid desert, and shoots at the closest cat.

Mirtha is surprised as she spots the cats in the cavern and is slow to react.

Mingxia takes bold action by striding forward and casting a blessing around her.

Raznik pops out of hiding and fires a volley of arrows at the nearest kitty, unfortunately they all miss the target.

Conso holds his ground raising his shield as he prepares for the cats to attack.

Benya creeps forward beckoning Fang to follow as she moves up. The cats catch Fangs’ movement, but not Benya.

Mattias takes a wide stance as she creates a magical ray of frost striking the closest cat turning it bluer from the added frost.

Kip summons the forces of nature within her, screaming with raw power as her hands are transformed into incredibly sharp claws. The strides to the right as she calls out in a purring voice ” Children remember to play with your food first!

The cats race down towards there prey moving quickly. Only the blue cat is able to reach Mattias as it pounces the last 30ft and attacks her jaws closing in on the old lady biting deeply into her.
