Downtime: Work? How dare you! You think Nina works for a living, like she's part of the unwashed masses? Nina has never held a job in her life, and that's not an insult where she comes from.

However, she does receive a stipend from the emirate, and it's dependent on the success of her cotillions. Assuming all goes well, Nina will hold a Cheliax-themed cotillion (she already held a snow-themed cotillion after she ran the Balgirdtrek, and repeating a theme would be a sin worse than wearing white after the Day of the Inheritor!), replete with mock devils or abomindable snowmen or whatever we meet in this adventure.

Performance: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Nina: The minimum level Society Connections could be is 3 (the level of the PC + 2 is what should go in that blank). Still a success as a Task Level 3 is DC 18, but the income is much higher (4 gold).

I guess my GM filled it out wrong.

To be honest, I'm not sure I would have attempted it had I known the DC was 18. :/

This scenario better present some exceptional themes for Nina to attempt to organize a Task Level 3 cotillion!

When you present group knowledge, it would be helpful for me to know who is providing what knowledge (and ideally what skill was involved). For example, when given the results of a Nature check, I would trust Chulyin's information over Nina's--a druid with enhanced training in Nature vs. a socialite with a confessed limit on understanding the out of doors (and yes, I know I could get a 1 and Nina could succeed but not knowing the rolls that wouldn't change how I process the information--Chulyin should expect to be right and expect Nina to not know the answer).

Nina, however, is displeased with the negative characterization of her skills and is already plotting to spike Chulyin's waterskin with pickle brine.

You can either take 3rd to last (if a martial character wants to bring up the rear) or 2nd to last (and Nina will bring up the rear).

Nina has Reach Spell so she can 2-action heal (her primary combat move) or Daze from 60'. She's not going to be much more use than JR if we get ambushed but at least she has an extra level of HP.

Non-essential here (I prefer the term "long term essential" :)). I'm the primary homeschooler, though, so my posting is erratic. It's been 13 days since Ro'Ryk's last post. I would assume that some life event has taken him away.

My request/recommendation would be to recalculate the CPs and proceed with what we have and then adjust back to the original if he is able to return rather than botting him through the remainder of the scenario.

Disclosure: I purchased this scenario in preparation for running it. I probably won't open it before this game finishes, but if there are any big last-minute choices after mid-next week, I may have to recuse myself.

Thanks for all the healing! I'm pretty good on HP, was at 24 after Nina and before Chulyin thanks to my temporary HP. Now I've got more of that and am full up.
