After Sam provides the destination, he slides his duffle to the floor, opens it up, and pulls his Ares to the top so he can employ it in quick order if it becomes necessary, then picks up his active scanning of the immediate surroundings of the SUV looking for any more CAs or other tails.
"You know if Rhoady here is gonna tag along on the whole OP, he is not getting a cut...in fact we should collect a babysitters fee too."

"Computer, once we disembark at our destination, remove this leg from the record of the trip and show that you travelled directly from our previous location to the location designated as home."
Anticipating the computer's request, John then shakes the Johnson awake and says "We need you to authorize your vehicle."
Continuum
Was waiting for someone else to jump in.
"Computer, append the last order: once we exit the vehicle at our current destination, remove all evidence of our passage from the vehicle as well."
John then shakes the man more vigorously and says "Authorize your damn vehicle!"
RIZZENMAGNUS
yup, that'll work. holy crap!
A flare of magical energy pushes through Daghda's hand and pumps through Mr Johnsons body. His body suddenly stiffens, fists clenching, jaw clamped tight. A heavy grunt escapes his lips and his eyes flash open as the magic flows through his body pulling all the alcohol from his system. He rocks forward, falling onto his side in the back of the car and coughs violently. With each spasm, a yellowish green cloud errupts from his mouth, before disappearing from sight.
Johnson coughs and coughs, each burst pushing more smoke out of his body.
Finally, he coughs once more and sighs, relaxing.
His eyes open up, and he looks around at each of you.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh drek drek drek drek drek! Dont kill me! Please! Dont Kill me! he moans loudly as the computers voice chimes Awaiting authorization.
Continuum
"Calm down friend. you just hired us, remember? There were some complications at the meet, but everyone is uninjured. We just need to have you give authorization to your vehicle to remove our destination and appearance from your vehicle's logs."
John sets is expression with nice smile, with just a hint of concern, like your best friend might have if you were carsick.

Johnson looks at each of you, and then glances out the windows.
I have no idea where... He looks back at Continuum and then nods. Yes, of course. I did hire you. yes. Would be good to remove any log of this...ride. Computer. Remove log entry from 2200 yesterday to 0300 today. Confirm
computer chimes request confirmed. Logs deleted.
Johnson looks at each of you again and finally stops upon Continuum. I hope this shall show good faith towards each other, and we shant meet again until the job is completed? he asks with a raised eyebrow.
Continuum
I'm assuming that he's telling us to get out at our destination, and not a random street corner?
"Okay, no worries." says John as he exits the vehicle. Once the others joined him on the sidewalk, he said "So, that was interesting."
Mark Calaway
Mark looks around, trying to identify the neighbourhood. "Not mine, that's for sure" he shrugs. He makes sure his sword is well hideen. "We should move away now, though - I guess such a group we make is quite striking to the eyes of a peaceful citizen."
Sam Wyatt
When commanded to leave the vehicle, Sam stuffs his weapon back into the duffel lest he draw unwanted attention. After exiting, he slings the bag over his back, moves over toward a building and tries to look like the vagrant he feels he is as the rest of the team decide where they are and the next location to move to.

you are here...corner of 244th and hwy 99. top of the map
Youre easily able to find a 24 hour office rental site, and for the low price of 125yen for the hour, can rent an office with a conference table and chairs to sit upon. The office itself, for an extra fee, will provide a white noise generating effect around the office. A mini-fridge sits in the corner, filled with small bottles of liquor and soda, and several bottles of water stand upon the desktop.
Mark Calaway
Mark sits down and takes a sip of water. "Alright, so... First of all, what can reach of us contribute? Might save our lives to know what to expect." He pauses for a second, in case someone wants to start, then he starts himself.
"Okay. I can do some mundane stealth, and have a look at the astral space. I can fight in close combat, kill quietly and deal with hostile spirits to an extent. Who else?"
Continuum
"As you have seen, I'm a pretty good social engineer and I can hold my own at infiltration, although I am hardly a stealth specialist. I am not all that good when it comes to killing, because to me a 'run in which the target never knew you were there is the best kind of run. I...also can't do AR, so I can't handle the matrix side if things."
Once everyone has introduced themselves, John says "So, does anyone have contacts or the knowledge that would allow us to buy or make explosives? I know a couple of general fixers, but I don't know any specialists in this field."
Sam Wyatt
"My specialties are mostly combat related, including the use of explosives. I am also extensively trained in tactics and can provide instruction on any of the skills I am proficient with. I can hold my own when it comes to stealthy infiltrations."
in game terms, I am an expert shooter, about the best you can be at this stage of running; I can provide bonus dice through tactics if you accept my leadership; provide training in any of my skill sets up to 2 below my skill limit which covers the need to find a trainer for many combat skills; I have above average ability with any physical skill through my natural tendencies; and I can perform fairly stealthily and play a part as needed.
With the exit of the rigger, we are going to need to recruit a replacement expert in the matrix. It will enhance our ability to infiltrate significantly. I am already missing his drone coverage. I think I know a fella that can help with acquisitions (smuggler) and another fella that can get us around (taxi driver) , but they are going to need to be paid."
RIZZENMAGNUS
"The Daghda is what some call me, but I think you could call me... Pat?", the older man says with a thick Irish accent.
He laughs at this as if he had just made some sort of joke...but then when no one else joins in he gives a short cough and grins.
"Umm, yeah, Pat will do"
trying to be like Tim the enchanter? [b]There are those that call me...Tim?

"Okay, so now that we know a bit about each other, let's look at our problem and try to decide the best way to handle it. I believe that GB is correct: we're definitely going to need to pick up a decker. While we don't necessarily need someone to go with us, we will need someone to walk us through taking the data out of the mainframe; unless someone here has that skill set?" John gives a look around the group before continuing:
"Okay, so as I see it here are the things we'll need to accomplish: 1) supplies. We're going to need burner commlinks, explosives, transportation, and an escape route. 2) We need a plan to make the place detonate. 3) we need to make sure the facility is deserted when we do our run. I'm not really intersted in killing a janitor who is just working a 9 to 5 and then going home to the wife and kids. 4) We need to know exactly where the lab is. Did I leave anything out?" John looked around the group to see if anyone had anything to add.
Sam Wyatt
"If we can score building plans somehow, I can design the explosion best and implode it so it does not take out any adjoining structures if we are not interested in collateral damage. A work schedule would be nice so we know how many are in the building to incapacitate and remove. As well as the primary security station as that will be the first place to take down so we can control the surveillance of the building. Magic guys need to make a review of the facility for magic defenses. I think that will have to be part of the scouting mission once we locate it. So, revised list in short:" He begins counting off his fingers as he goes,
"Order supplies we know we need;
Locate (and hire?) a matrix expert;
Begin research to include the location of the facility;
Scout, which includes the escape route;
Establish the 'plan of attack' by the numbers;
Get final supplies;
Rehearse, and
Execute.
To start us off, I know a guy, so lets get started on those supply lists so I can get him going on getting us our stuff."
Team, do not forget the difficulty factor in your supplies for getting things. We should establish the difficulty of the explosives as our baseline for availability as we do not have forever to get this done. Come to think of it, do we have a solid time frame we have to be finished by?
Continuum
We have a three day time limit.
"Let's start with this: does anyone have any contacts that are deckers, or know of any fairly reliable deckers that you have run with before? I know some people, but none of them are even remotely local."
Mark Calaway
"I have a local guy, a Johnson. She might know someone, let me give her a smoke signal."
Mark enters some data in his comm and the sound of dialing can be heard by everyone. "Woops." He quickly change to private mode.
"Dove? It's Mark. Listen, how good could you find me some items and/or people?"
Continuum
So you would want to roll Assensing on each of us to see what information you get from each of us. Here are my results:
1 Success: Healthy, Calm, Awakened
2 Successes: No cyberware
3 Successes: Essence is the same as yours, magic is less than yours*. No astral signatures
4 Successes: No betaware cyber or bioware; 6 essence, 6 magic
5 Successes: He recently underwent leonization (a de-aging process that is prohibitively expensive); I am not a technomancer
*your magic should only be 6, as magic is capped to 6 +your initiation grade, and I don't see that you spent the karma or money to initiate yet (and to be fair it's not something most GMs allow players to do at character creation).

hey guys, i have some incredibly bad news.
i cannot run this game like i thought i would.
turns out my kids have to take summer school, which in reality is just an extension of the school year due to covid. as such, i need to be able to help them. this unfortunately means that i do not have as much time as i thought id be able to devote to online gaming, which means i have to cut back on the games. Since this game was in development, it unfortunately is the first to go.
i just want to say thanks the work you have done with creating the characters. they do look amazing, and i truly wish i could have continued with the game to see how awesome they would be in action.
