Glaube is indeed Brother's ticket right now

My token was moved?

If possible, Glaube will use channeled revival to cast breath of life on Brother from a distance.

I'm not sure where I was. Perhaps an elemental could bring Brother to me, or someone can haul me to within 30' of Brother. Will happily delay to make either happen.

BoL: 5d8 + 13 ⇒ (4, 4, 1, 5, 8) + 13 = 35

Channeled Revival:
Channeled Revival: As a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity, you can expend three uses of your channel energy class feature to restore a dead creature to life as if you had cast the breath of life spell.

Knowledge Checks

I moved you and Dora because Kel 5-ft stepped and dimension doored you both right next to Brother. Yes, it's time for a swim. The water is nice. :) PS: if you have Breath of Life memorized you don't need to waste 3 uses of channel in this case, since you're within touch reach of Brother.

No worries Mal, Dora, and Kel. We had the right tools in the right places. I appreciate the team effort!

Brother Rabbit coughs and sputters as he stands up in the pool. "Oh MAN, what a rush!" He exclaimed, grabbing his hat from the water and putting it back in his head. "Of course whatever gods are watching us right now knew I had to die in the water. Ha!" The Captain seems far too jovial for someone just brought back to life. He looks around at everyone around him and throws up has hands.

"Thank you, friends. Thank you. I apologize for finding this so funny. I come from a monastery which believes life is one long running joke. For me to come all this way inland just to die in some salt water," He chuckled and shook his head. "It's in my nature to laugh!"

He makes a point of shaking Glaubes' hand out of appreciation and grabs the bow the Medusa was using. "Going to take this, if no one minds."

Mal climbs out, listening to Kel continue his conversation with Dora, I’ll take a prestidigation to get dry, if you don’t mind. I could happily use the ring, but perhaps Thrag or Dora would get better utility out of it?

Kel smiles and shrugs... "I think we'd all be able to use the ring, but I'd rather see it go to a front liner who needs it than myself... I try to stay out of danger... try being the operative word, of course, though Dora's well-being is important too... I'll let you all worry about who will claim it.. I will lay claim to the document on behalf of all of us... if something dire happens to me, it's in this," he points to a spot on his haversack "pocket."

"Now that we are all back together, we should discuss whether or not to rest here... I am not depleted of spells, but perhaps of some rather important ones... I wouldn't mind some rest, and I don't know if Glaube has another Breath of Life spell, so he might need the rest as well... and we know he needs another heal for Dora."

He turns to Dora and smiles, shrugs, knowing full well the gestures will go unseen and unacknowledged though he hopes some of his warm feelings toward her will carry in his voice. "Now, where were we? Ah, yes.. discussing whether you'd like the luxury of the bed to rest in if resting is our decision... and if you'd like a little company. While Arshea would prefer otherwise, a platonic evening is fine too... I'd be happy to read to you, or tell you stories, or even try to sing for you, but singing's not my forte... I can barely carry a tune." He chuckles softly in embarrassment, offering to sing for a bard. "Or I'd be happy just to set up my sleeping mat on the floor by the bed and doze nearby, with my familiar keeping watch over us both. Perhaps I'm being a bit pushy, but I don't think anyone should be alone in this place. If you're uncomfortable with my offers, please don't be reticent, say so and I'll shut up." He shrugs and smiles.. and awaits Dora's response.

Turning back to the sound of Kel's voice.

I appreciate the offer. But in my condition, I am only able to worry of my eyesight returning before any songs can be sung beyond those to inspire our mission. In another place and time...well, I cannot say.

She sighs, wishing she could gauge the effect of her words by sight.

But to be honest, this place and quest has drained some of the joy from me. I count us fortunate to have survived. Once we are home safely, a song or two will be well in order.

He turns to the others and says "Shall we rest here, do you think it might be safe enough? I am hesitant to simply wander more and look for more danger, just to assure this place is secure... Perhaps we can make it safe without more exploration?"

The Exchange

I think resting is a good idea. I don't think Dora was suggesting leaving before us, and it probably wouldn't be all that safe for us to leave one by one anyways. Things will seem better in the morning, after we've rested our weary heads, and Glaube and the Dawnflower have restored her sight. Thank goodness Glaube made it to brother in time! I can take first watch, as long as I get my eight hours and the Forgefather replenishes me.

Regarding that ring, it seems wrong that anyone but Dora should wear it. A phalanx is only as good as each shield, and for some reason those who walk the necropolis are damned intent on killing our shortest member. If you already have a ring that wards you, perhaps another could benefit from it?

Mal practices his katas while keeping a vigilant eye for danger.

Mal has a RoP +1, I think Dora and Thrag both have a +2, so Mal benefit from using Dora's ring, if no one else would. Thrag would be the other obvious choice, but he hasn't been lit up like Dora has (although largely due to the blindness).

Will update my list of spells and daily abilities before my next post, GM. At minimum, I'll use a lesser resto to suppress the curse and a remove blindness on the bard. I'd like to cast status on Brother, Mal, and Thrag. I'd like to cast heroes feast as it will help our melee types because it stacks with the bard's competence bonus.

Temp HP for the whole party from heroes feast: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Heroes Feast Benefits for everyone:
Every creature partaking of the feast is cured of all sickness and nausea, receives the benefits of both neutralize poison and remove disease, and gains 1d8 temporary hit points + 1 point per two caster levels (maximum +10) after imbibing the nectar-like beverage that is part of the feast. The ambrosial food grants each creature that partakes a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and Will saves and a +4 morale bonus on saving throws against poison and fear effects for 12 hours.

Now thats what I call breakfast! Kel, did you have a chance to look over that document last night? What evidence does it provide?

Kel would have explained the contents of the document in brief before he even stashed it in his haversack, but he elaborates this morning when Mal asks.

"It's a document recording the birth of Stavian the First... not sure exactly what it implies legally, but could be something that reflects on the birthright and royal lineage of the current King... I'd be interested to do more research into its actual implications. If it really does have a political impact on his right to rule, for example, this document could be quite valuable, either to the individuals, such as ourselves, or organization, perhaps the Society?, that can bring such information to bear. I myself care little who rules presently, but if such power could be useful to affect the decisions and actions of a current head of state, this birth certificate could be considered a game changer, yes?"

After the fine magical breakfast, Kel thanks Glaube, as does RW, his little dragon companion... who flies over to Glaube, hovers in front of the cleric and thanks him in both common and draconic...

"Fair enough... I thought we were done here... but let's finish up the area and then the mausoleums. This kinda reminds me though of a friend who told me the tale of a haunted castle he went to north of Kaer Maga. Some kind of mission for the Society. The place was packed with loads of undead and demons and other threats.... They went to recover a lost relic sword. They only cleaned out about half the place when they found the sword... Once found, all the evil in the place turned to dust and ash... After that, they just walked through and picked up all the dropped treasure. I hope this place isn't like that... Just would hate to take all the risks and then find out if we'd done the sword first, we would have saved ourselves a lot of effort."

When the others are all ready to move on, he takes his place near the back of the party, makes sure he remembered to cast his morning spells (mage armor on himself and Brother Rabbit, returning the pearl of power to the good Brother), and perhaps life bubble on himself and one or two others...but before casting that, he'll discuss it with Glaube...

"Glaube, can you cast life bubble today? I'm concerned about gasses and miasmas... thought maybe you and I could split the party and each cast on a few people... If I cast on 3 folks, each would get 10 hours of protection, but if I split between the whole party, we only get 5 hours each... and I only memorized it once.. I don't suppose you can do half the party?"

Knowledge Checks

Finding nothing else of value or interest in these catacombs, the heroes head north to the first of three similar mausoleums.

The first building is crafted of green marble, the entrance carved to mimic the maw of a ravenous lion. Once inside, the heroes realize that it is essentially empty. At the center is a 10-foot-diameter medusa’s face, depicting the howling medusa crest of the Sardisi clan. Kel and Glaube quickly realize that the crest acts as a teleportation circle of some kind.

What do you do?

Kel and Thrag: This great, domed chamber is home to hundreds of funerary urns of every description, housed in niches along the walls. The domed ceiling thirty feet above is decorated with images of Taldan aristocrats engaged in passionate debate, locked in duels, or poring over great tomes together. Kel examines the carving in the center of the floor and tries to determine if it is another teleport circle, and if so, he hopes it goes back to their last point of departure. He detects magic if necessary to figure this out. Once a determination is made regarding the carving in the center of the floor, he starts moving around, focusing his detect magic on the urns, the sarcophagi, the paintings on the ceiling (and walls, if any)...

While waiting to see who else shows up, once he's done looking around, He'll start examining things in greater detail, flying up to the ceiling if necessary to get a closer look at the images, learning what he can about the artists or the subjects based on what they are reading, if there are any clues as to what they are debating, or what they might be dueling over, or how (different locations, different dueling rules, and so forth).

Mmm... also, what is special about the medusa's face here? We've already seen different medusa faces here...

Knowledge Checks

Based on detect magic, the medusa appears to be another teleportation circle. In addition, an examination of the medusa carving reveals the following unusual aspects of the medusa seal: a keyhole in its right eye; a starburst indentation in the left eye; a thin slot in the mouth; and an oval indentation in the chin.
