Lenny wards himself against death magic.
Roary succumbs to the effect of the Pillar as it taunts him with the inevitability of his failure.
The Pillar effect is not SU, SLA or Spell, it is simply an environmental effect so you take the penalty this round
As Roary closes in the dragons jaws snap out at him. Spectral jaws close on him again, draining more vitality and his aim is thrown off causing him to miss.
Brutus guzzles a potion
Roary takes 11 damage after DR and another 2 negative levels. His attack is 3 lower due to the extra negative levels and the impact of the Pillar. The reroll from the aid token is actually a roll twice take the better result and must be used before the roll. I have also added on the dragons temp HP from its bite energy drain.
Coordinated Maneuver

Daxter launches his magic at the Pillar, it shimmers and rumbles and seems to flicker for a moment.
That is 1 success but it takes multiple successes to disrupt the ritual.
Daxter grabs his weapon and teleports away.
Sadly it doesnt seem to have combat reflexes
The dragon lashes out at Lenny, striking him with both claws, its tail and a wing. Lenny feels his death ward spell melt away (along with any other divine buffs you have but it looks like none). Its jaws snap out at Roary and tear through his flesh, draining more of his vitality. It then quickens another spell, unsurprisingly it is a third quickened finger of death, pointed directly at Lenny.
Lenny takes 34 damage. Roary takes 12 and another 2 negative levels.
Those of you close to the Dragon see the energy contained within its skeletal chesst begins to heave and roil. It seems likely that its breath weapon has recharged!

**OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT**
Glowing with holy light, Ollysta pauses for a moment to rally the Pathfinders. “This will be the hour of our glory, Pathfinders! We strike against the Whispering Tyrant!” She turns her gaze to a spectral dragon circling overhead. The dragon unleashes a wall of negative energy, dissolving Pathfinders where they stand. With steely resolve, Ollysta charges toward the dragon, running on the air. “By Sarenrae’s light, begone!” she cries, as her longsword connects with its wispy form. A gaping hole appears in its chest as holy energy burns away its corrupted body. The dragon rounds on Ollysta, tearing into her with an onslaught of teeth, claws, and razor-edged wings. Ollysta’s wounds are mortal, but the paladin isn’t finished. Her sacred longsword is just as unrelenting as the dragon’s attack. With a triumphant blow, she decapitates the dragon. Its body collapses into a ball of purifying light. The same light envelops Ollysta’s shattered form. As her strength fades, expression of pure serenity crosses her face. With a sigh, she closes her eyes for the last time. She drifts to the ground, landing gently on her back.

GMAndrewW |

OK, the dragon takes an extra 50 damage from the crit. It is still very much active.
Brutus flies up to flank the dragon. It takes a lazy swipe with one spectral claw which scrapes along the mage armour spell protecting Brutus.
Just as a note, if you are using total defence then you will not provide a flank as you are not capable of attacking
Daxter launches another strike on the ritual which causes the Pillar to shudder once again.
That generates another success but does not disrupt the ritual
The dragon glares daggers straight at Daxter, regardless of his greater invisibility spell. Those who can see it have the impression it would very much like to tear him limb from limb. It takes a deep breath, as if it is about to breathe again but instead with a heave its spectral body transforms, and now there is a massive, hulking skeletal dragon before you. The stench of rotting meat is appalling. Huge physical claws reach for Lenny followed by a battering from the tail and wings. His body crashes to the ground!
Or does it? This may or may not happen depending on if Lenny uses another Heroes Defiance. He has just taken 88 damage and is at -17HP with 7 nonlethal damage.

actually, quick question isn’t Roary blocking its path to me? I am 20’ horizontally away and 10’ lower in elevation. To put me in reach with a 5’ step, wouldn’t it need to share Roary’s space? I figure it probably has some kind of shenanigans that I’m not aware of, but just in case I wanted to ask.

GMAndrewW |

It can reach you with a 5' step down, that puts you one square down and forward and then three squares forward, nicely within its 20' reach. It could also share Roary's square as he is 3 size categories larger.
