Mark begins to speak and then stops as Corso starts to talk. When Corso pauses to allow the rest of the group to speak, Mark gives him a "you know what I am going to say" look.

"Honoured guests, we have had the distinct and unforgettable pleasure of securing key ingredients for this splendid meal. After settling the matter of the rampant Cerarhine Bull, we sought the amethyst plums. The local settlement, alas, had none. So we ventured forth, drawing on all of our skill and wit to determine their location. Slaying yuan-ti killers and literate yet irksome wolves, we made it to the grove. Resisting the strange aura of the trees, I obtained said plums. After a delightful chance meeting with helpful fey, we enjoyed a banquet, a prelude to this exceptional banquet. A toast, to this superb fare!"

"Indeed! Wolves wearing glasses and reading poetry! Yuan-ti calling some of us 'old friends' while bleeding out, and faes feasting us to the finest fish filets and flutes of fancy drinks! All of this, and more, to bring to your resplendences!" adds Corso.

The evening and the meal flies by as you entertain Draconic Royalty, or seems to drag on forever as you try to maintain your temper, or something between those two extremes. After the delicious tarts are served and devoured and the night begins to wind down, you're escorted to an inn in town where you sleep. In the morning you find yourselves free of your servitude with, if not a king's ransom, a very hefty prince's ransom. While it is the end of the adventure, it is certainly not the end of your stories.

I'll leave this open for another week to give everyone time to post and read any epilogues that y'all want to do. Sorry for the delay in getting this up, and sorry it wasn't more detailed. I really did just run out of steam.

Corso wakes up from under a tree, brought to consciousness by the soft cooing of a pigeon. He rewards his feathery subject with a warm smile and a hand filled with corn. Looking at the skies ahead, he ponders how to leverage his new wealth towards strengthening the Avian dominion over the skies of his favourite city. Could it be done without enslaving humankind, he wonders, or would dialogue and fair distribution of power fail, as it tends to do.

He looks at the pigeon pecking at the corn as he stands to his feet, noticing that his companions were nowhere in sight, and says to it: "Wanna help me conquer the world? This is the beginning of the Age of Pigeons!"

He looks to the blue skies above and grins.

When the feasting is done and the dragons have departed, Nestis turns to Teegor.

"It is time to seek a new venture. I will invest my earnings into obtaining - or building - a fortress. One not too far from a city but far enough away that we shall not be bothered overmuch."

"It shall be a place barred to bloody adventurers!"

After allowing others to give the speeches, Mark took his share of the money and headed back into town, unsure about what to do regarding the two people claiming to be his wife and child...

But that is a story for another time...

Teegor listened to his two masters and followed them both. Maybe they would part ways, and the bugbear henchman would have to choose. But, that is not today.
