Someone opens the door and you see the five bloodspawn (image) milling about on guard. However, as they are watching south more than north, and as they expect you, initially, to be allies from before, they are slow on the uptake.

The party may have a full round to do as they please. Then I’ll roll initiative. For this round you’ll go in the order you post and then in initiative order as usual when we get there. You recall they have DR 5/silver (which I think you can all overcome) and they explode when they die resulting in a Fort or gain a negative level.

I think Kamari is hit twice, while the heavily armored Edelmira is hit only once and the luckier Elen is missed.

The silken ropes throughout the room are difficult terrain normally, but the blood spawn don’t seem to be affected by it - and in fact use it to good effect!

Also, the spawn all heal slightly (fast healing 2).

Edelmira swings on green, who pops like a water balloon over full of blood. Major Kort slams two quarrels into orange, farthing her advance to death. Muri plugs two arrows into orange before she too can no longer contain herself. He then plugs red twice. Kamari hits blue twice, before she too dissolves ballistically. Elen hits red and orange with her AoOs. By the time she swoops in, only red and purple remain. So purple is flatfooted and hit once (and red gets an AoO as you depart).

Green explodes! covering the Night Swan in viscera. Other than the rankness of the experience, you also need to make a DC 19 fort save or take 1 temporary negative level.

You somewhat wearily (some more than others!) climb the stairs, passing through the secret door, and back into the main archives. You pass the open door where the clockwork librarians continue their task of organizing books that are both there and not there.

To refresh…
Chips of marble on the ground suggest this room was once tiled in variegated marble. The tiles have been pried up and taken, leaving the rubble-strewn masonry subfloor exposed. Wooden railings, with a few chips of gold paint still clinging to them, mark the boundaries of a queue. A long stone counter stands against one wall, and the sagging remains of cushioned chairs lie broken in a corner.

The ceiling here goes up to the second level, and countless empty shelves line the walls above. Metal tracks run from floor to ceiling between the shelves, made of metal plates, gears, and springs, with arms jabbing at the shelves as if replacing invisible books.

If you do not enter the room, they continue on as before. The route to the outside is clear, and Drinae takes advantage of it. She turns to the party and bows, ”I wish you safe travels, but beware… There are many looking for you, though the most hostile of them know not where you are.”

With that, she departs. The other former prisoners, and Virgil, are less capable, and remain in the hopes you’ll give them a ride to some civilized town, at least.

What do you plan to do next? In theory, your horses are outside. It’s a two day ride back to Merrat County with not much but a few villages scattered here and there - and those only once you get close. Doubling your mounts burdens will add some time to that journey, but the horseshoes of speed will make up most of that lag.

The high priest of Abadar in Lotheedar should be able to fix up Edelmira and Kamari readily enough, for a bit of coin.

Roll20 Map - Tracking Sheet

Major Kort takes his shot, hitting red though DR applies (10 adamantine). Kamari shields up and readies herself, weakened though she is. Edelmira moves in. Elen moves in and hits both constructs, though they are immune to her feint! Muri plinks away at red, but only connects once - though the construct is flat footed (for what little it counts!).

The constructs move to defend themselves against this unwarranted attack! (I’m sure!) They move to flank Edelmira and attack!
