I’m not sure what my downtime activity will be, but it’ll likely be a 1d20+3 roll. I’ll amend it if needed at the end of the game if it changes.
Downtime Roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Orla would like to use 2 Fame to secure a Wayfinder from the Envoy’s Alliance faction at no cost (slotless boon). I’ll also slot the engraved Wayfinder lid that I got from the Absalom Initiation scenario with this Wayfinder.
I’ll take a lesser eagle’s eye elixir and a lesser antiplague as my two school items.

Just a reminder on purchases if you decide to shop at Aspenthar before heading to the site.
You can always purchase the following items so long as you’re in a settlement of at least 5,000 residents (and scenarios may sometimes provide additional allowances or limitations):
* Any common equipment in sanctioned Pathfinder content with an item level equal to or less than your character’s level (minimum 2).
* Any uncommon equipment in sanctioned Pathfinder content with an item level equal to or less than your character’s level (minimum 2); your character must have access to this uncommon equipment such as through meeting its Access condition.
* Any equipment listed on your character’s Chronicle sheets with an item level equal to or less than your character’s level + 2. Some items found on Chronicle sheets are available for purchase only a limited number of times. Weapon and Armor found on chronicle sheets can be upgraded following the normal rules for upgrading.
* Any items and services purchased with Fame.

            Descending the Cliff
Your Pathfinder agents must descend the cliff, anchoring the rope ladder as they go. The climb itself is difficult enough, but winds and crashing waves make the trip particularly treacherous, threatening to toss you into the water below.
You can survey the cliffs and formulate a strategy for climbing. With a successful Nature check, you can find natural handholds, granting a +1 circumstance bonus to Athletics checks to Climb. Pairing with another climber allows each member in the pair to get a +2 circumstance bonus on the Grab an Edge reaction if they were to fail their Climb check.
At least two agents are needed to climb and anchor the rope ladder in order for the others to use it and climb down safely. More than two agents can climb down at the same time to aid in the setting up of the rope ladder. Each Climbing Pathfinder agent must attempt three Athletics checks as they attempt to descend about 40 feet with crashing surf and wind seeking to lodge them out. Don't forget you get a +1 item bonus to Athletics from your climbing kits. Also, please remember that the climbing kit only has enough materials for one climber; each climber needs their own kit.
If your agent fails a check, they fall and must attempt to Grab an Edge, attempting a Reflex save with the same DC as the failed check. Thanks to the ropes, guides, and
handholds available, your agents do not take any damage if they succeed to Grab an Edge. If they fail the Reflex save; however, they fall into the water below, taking damage. The water below provides a relatively soft landing provided they're not unconscious. An agent who falls can swim through the relatively calm water to the entrance of the site without risk of drowning, as long as they are still conscious. However, don't forget that without that rope ladder, the exploration team will not be able to access the site, so having that ladder anchored is paramount.

Hello Orla, just to clarify, the roll for handholds requires a Nature check, not a Perception check as they're not hidden.
Either way, I'll respect your roll and just use your Nature mod instead. Unless you wish to reroll.
I also have to request clarification about your Keen Senses. Could you please clarify its usage, please? I'm aware of Keen Eyes, but that only applies to creatures.

Orla's wayfinder is casting bright light in a 20-foot radius (and dim light for the next 20 feet).
Regarding the dim light
Within dim light creatures can be concealed from you, if you target a creature that’s concealed from you, you must attempt a DC 5 flat check before you roll to determine your effect. If you fail, you don’t affect the target.
If you're lucky to have low-light vision or darkvision, attacking within Orla's dim light area doesn't affect you negatively and you don't have to do the flat check.
Darkness
If you were to leave the dim-light area, you'd gain the blinded condition. Given the size of the map, I don't think this will be a problem. For now.

You could check all the spoiler tags after the quest to see the lore behind this quest. ;)
Although like all PFS 2e quests/scenarios I've seen so far, the lore is very minimal and they really don't make much of a distinction with what you learn from Craft and what you learn from Society, as the Core Rulebook mentions you should because what you learn from each of those checks should be different. So I had to look up a few things from the lore.
As for the hellknights in Thuvia, it's good to have assumptions both as players and characters. Whether the assumptions are incorrect or correct is a different matter.
As a side note, since Bert found the oil, and to keep things moving, I am not going to use the Crit. Success, Success, Fail, Crit. Fail for identifying. You either can identify it or not. Of course, once back at the lodge you could pay for someone to identify it for you.

Well, I find that Paizo does an excellent job of the adventure summary and adventure background. Sometimes that doesn't fully translate into the actual gameplay.
I usually go back and read the background because it's got the deeper lore.
Scenarios, and especially quests put wordcount pressure on what you can share with the reader. I do like when a PFS season is focussed on a part of the world or theme because you get supporting products which have more lore in them.

Just to clarify my last post. You can all make the checks to learn more lore, I believe it was Occultism and Craft, but in order to identify the silver liquid, you will need to have Craft at Trained to do Identify Alchemy plus have alchemist's tools at hand and 10 minutes to test what the silver liquid is.

All right, pathfinders, I need some clarification. So I imagine all of you are were exploring with weapons drawn? I'm asking this as only Inzo explicitly stated he was stealthing with shurikens out and as this is a text-based medium with sporadic posting, this could have been omitted by forgetfulness. Of course, if it makes more sense for your character not to have weapons out while exploring, then don't forget to use the interact action to draw them.
Also, would Orla have put on her armor after arriving at the site? She changed into comfortable clothing to travel if I remember correctly.

Orla doesn't have armour. This has previously been a question. And no, Orla does not have a weapon drawn.
Also, Recall Knowledge is an action that you take during your combat turn in 2e, subtracting from your three allotted actions. I take it, now that we've entered into encounter mode, that the free Craft or Arcana check upon entering the room is to be taken during our turn, GM?

Thank you, I just wanted to confirm the armor wearing. I was typing by mobile all day yesterday and at least for me, it's a bit more of a hassle to scroll through and type in the forums as opposed to using a laptop.
As for the using Recall Knowledge as an action, that's correct. As we're in combat, it's no longer free. It's why I mentioned that you could all use one an action to Recall Knowledge and in all fairness mentioned the high DC so you could all decide how you wanted to allot your 3 actions more effectively.
Personally, I think this quest could use a revision. Those DCs are really high for 1st level characters. They feel more like they're were made for 3rd level characters.

DC 15 for a "trained" base difficulty, +2 because they're classing them all as "uncommon", but it seems silly to not have any common/untrained-base difficulty skill checks mixed in there in order to have some more general knowledge conveyed rather than locking all the lore behind difficult skill checks.

By the way Hammick, which Hunter's Edge are you using?
I copied the Harsk pre-gen. And changed the crossbow ace for monster hunter.
Feature 1st: Hunt Prey: You designate a single creature as your prey and focus your attacks against that creature. You must be able to see or hear the prey, or you must be tracking the prey during exploration.
You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to Perception checks when you Seek your prey and a +2 circumstance bonus to Survival checks when you Track your prey. You also ignore the penalty for making ranged attacks within your second range increment against the prey you’re hunting. You can have only one creature designated as your prey at a time. If you use Hunt Prey against a creature when you already have a creature designated, the prior creature loses the designation and the new prey gains the designation. Your designation lasts until your next daily preparations
Feature 1st: Hunter's Edge (Flurry): You have trained for countless hours to become a more skilled hunter and tracker, gaining an additional benefit when you Hunt Prey depending on the focus of your training. Choose a hunter’s edge. Flurry: You have trained to unleash a devastating flurry of attacks upon your prey. Your multiple attack penalty for attacks against your hunted prey is –3 (–2 with an agile weapon) on your second attack of the turn instead of –5, and –6 (–4 with an agile weapon) on your third or subsequent attack of the turn, instead of –10. Precision: You have trained to aim for your prey’s weak points. The first time you hit your hunted prey in a round, you also deal 1d8 additional precision damage. (Precision damage increases the damage you already deal, using the same type, but is ineffective against creatures that lack vital organs or weak points.) At 11th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8 precision damage, and at 19th level, the extra damage increases to 3d8 precision damage. Outwit: You are talented at outwitting and evading your prey. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to Deception checks, Intimidation checks, Stealth checks, and any checks to Recall Knowledge about the prey, and a +1 circumstance bonus to AC against your prey’s attacks.
1st: MONSTER HUNTER: You swiftly assess your prey and apply what you know. As part of the action used to Hunt your Prey, you can attempt a check to Recall Knowledge about your prey. When you critically succeed at identifying your hunted prey with Recall Knowledge, you note a weakness in the creature’s defenses. You and allies you tell gain a +1 circumstance bonus to your next attack roll against that prey. You can give bonuses from Monster Hunter only once per day against a particular creature
