He then adds a layer of music that... seems surprisingly funny. He channels that conjured emotion magically, letting it wash over the demon!

The party conintues to be flummoxed by the fiend's combat prowess as neither Charlie nor Goliath connect.
Dendillion lets his song linger as he turns to magic: Will: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 11 + 1 = 16 It's almost as terrifying to the party to hear it, but the fiend begins to cackle manically.

Wounds healed, and nerves settled, the party finds themselves in a strange location indeed.
This palatial chamber’s domed ceiling rises twenty feet above the stone floor. Stained‑glass windows portray a radiant human figure raising two islands from a tumultuous sea. Though the artwork is breathtaking, jagged cracks disrupt the images, and shards of colorful glass litter the floor. Heavy ebony doors stand in the east and west walls. The atrium’s alabaster walls are marred with crude paintings of humanoid figures, demons, and profane symbols drawn in blood. An unpleasant, coppery odor lingers in the air.
Mumbling Charlie
Charlie looks up at the radiant figure in the stained glass. "Who is that, raising the i..i..islands?"
Chark Torrefi
Chark makes a DC 0 Recall Knowledge (Religion) check
That is Aroden, the Last Azlanti, Chark says, pointing to the massive eye on the floor. This is — or rather, was — his symbol. This once-holy place has been defiled.
Dendillion
Dendillion agrees with Chark. "The presence of a demon is all the proof you need to know that this place is no longer consecrated to a god."
He gently strums his lute while his wounds are addressed. Feeling better, he looks to Tiny and Charlie. "Do one of you want to take a look at the door to the left, up the northern hallway? Or perhaps we try these double doors before us? I'm easy here, but if it's all the same I'd like to be careful. That demon was an unpleasant surprise."
Mumbling Charlie
Charlie takes a listen at the double doors. "Last Azlanti huh?" He muses on it all as he looks back at the mural once more before pushing the doors open.
Dungeon Master S - 2e
The thick doors muffle any sound the party may have made, but it works both ways. As Charlie opens the door, he interrupts some strange ritual...
Rows of splintered wooden pews face an oval marble dais three feet high. Wide marble steps lead up to the dais, and a polished mahogany pulpit stands at its center. A glorious fresco on the curved wall behind the dais depicts Aroden engaging in several tasks: battling an imperious necromancer, raising a pair of islands from the sea, and standing atop a mountain with his hands outstretched, wreathed in blue flames.
Hideous images scrawled in tar and old blood painted over the fresco tell a vastly different story. A reptilian humanoid climbs a tunnel from the depths to the surface in one scene. In the next, he reaches out to snatch an orb from a tower drawn on one of the islands, then crushes the orb in his fist. This image repeats four times in slightly different‑looking towers, followed by a final scene of dead trees and skulls around the mountain.
A slight and tight-skinned xulgath seems to be anointing three hulking xulgaths with a mixture of blood and foul‑smelling fungus. She wears a delicate circlet perched incongruously atop her head.
They move quickly at the interruption!
