The Confirmation isn't designed to be a deadly scenario. Create whatever character you want - or feel free to use a pregenerated character if you want to experiment. The credit will be transferrable to any 1st level character you create.

GM Watery Soup |

Do you guys want to play 4-handed or wait for more?

GM Watery Soup |

I'm ok for either. Maybe one call out to Flaxseed while we muster?
That was the plan. The scenario is not deadly.

GM Watery Soup |

I'm here! Sheesh, can't believe I missed this post.
I'll have my character up when I get home from work.
Did I miss my spot?
Unfortunately, yes. Having not heard from you in 48 hours, I opened the seats and they are now filled.
I'd be happy to PM you before I open my next game if you want.

GM PDK |

I'll join Baveyo if you run another Confirmation! I've got a fresh kobold recruit looking to increase his hoard! :)

![]() |

Anyone know of a 1st level shaman write up I could consult in building my character ?

![]() |

Tok, sorry to pry but I think you've drastically short-changed your build. It looks like your stats were made with a point-buy of 10; PFS uses 20, so you have a lot more points to spend on your stats. Also, even with an 8 Constitution you should have 7 HP, not 6 (and don't forget your favored class bonus!).

As may be typical for many people from the US on these boards, tomorrow is the Thanksgiving holiday, which gives many of us a long weekend. I'll be busy much of this time with family and other obligations, and may not be able to post much after today--if at all--until Sunday. Please feel free to bot Rocko if necessary!

GM Watery Soup |

Please leave botting instructions, but everyone note that it was explicitly stated in the recruiting that I did not intend to pause the game over the holidays. I'll pause the game if enough people want, but I didn't intend to.
Many people are hosting Thanksgiving, I am not. Many people have complicated travel plans, I do not. Many people have a year end rush at work, I do not. I have just enough going on so that I can't play at a local convention, which bums me out. I created this game because if anything I have more time to post than usual.

GM Watery Soup |

Happy Thanksgiving indeed. Hopefully I don't sound like a grinch - I love the holidays. I've got a bunch of family stuff but it's all local and casual, so the biggest decision is really whether I'll get to introduce my wife and kids to Pathfinder sometime this weekend. :)

I've been trying to play Rectitude as an asexual plant entity. I've been misgendering them in some of my posts. Trying to do better. Sorry if this has caused anyone discomfort. Not my intention.
I will admit that I may have misgendered them as well in some of my posts and also apologize. I have tried to catch myself when I remember, but ultimately, because the grammar doesn't flow naturally (yet), it's extremely difficult for me.

GM Watery Soup |

GM Note: The minotaur combat is the final combat, and barring a series of extremely unfortunate events, the scenario will conclude in the next few days.
I will not have access to a PDF editor until December 26th - would it be okay for the Chronicle Sheets to be distributed on the 26th or 27th?

![]() |

Fine by me. Rectitude needs a bit of a rebuild. Might go with Shifter (Leafshifter) 1/ Mesmerist (aromaphile) X.
Verdant Shifter would also be worth a look, depending on your long term goals for the character.

![]() |

Sure, that's no problem.
I might rebuild too. Being a higher-level poisoner might be fun, but wow being level 1 is not. Draw weapon/prepare poison/apply poison/move in... takes two whole turns before you can even attack.

![]() |

Yep! Scenarios like this one are worth 1 XP; some games, like modules or campaign books, are much longer and are worth 3.
For most games, you can only play them once in Standard and once in Core, regardless of which character you bring. The Confirmation is replayable, meaning you can play it as often as you like-- but only once per character. There aren't a lot of replayable scenarios out there, but the Confirmation and Master of the Fallen Fortress are the most popular.

Can everyone post, just so it's all in one place:
Player Name (whatever you want on the chronicle)
Character Name
PFS Number
Faction
Day Job Roll

GM Watery Soup |

Day Job: ?
After each adventure that grants XP, you gain a period of Downtime before your next mission. The length of this downtime is not defined, allowing PCs time to rest, recuperate, and recharge items such as staves. During Downtime, you can attempt a trained Craft, Perform, or Profession check to see how much extra money you earn—this is called a Day Job check. At the end of each adventure in the Roleplaying Guild, you have the opportunity to make one Day Job check.
...
Day Job Check Result GP Award
5 1 gp
10 5 gp
15 10 gp
20 20 gp
25 50 gp
30 75 gp
35 100 gp
40 150 gp

[dice=Craft (alchemy), take 10]10+15
Can you double check your +15 modifier? It's very high for a 1st level character. I'm not very familiar with the poisoner archetype, but I see +3 INT, +3 class, +3 skill focus, and +2 for poisons. Are there other bonuses I'm missing?

+1 Rank, +1 per Alchemist Level, +2 Toxicologist ("untyped" from archetype).

GM Watery Soup |

Wow. My 5th level alchemist doesn't even have a +15 Craft (alchemy) bonus!

GM Watery Soup |

Mizzie, Rectitude, Kaliban: please look over your Chronicle sheets and let me know if anything needs to be changed.

![]() |

Actually the breakdown is: +3 Int, +1 skill rank, +3 class skill bonus, +3 Skill Focus, +5 crafter's fortune (the circumstantial bonuses don't count toward Day Job checks).
GM, you should definitely look at the crafter's fortune spell. It's the only temporary bonus that counts toward day jobs.

GM Watery Soup |

Interesting. I actually picked up the formula a while back, but I just never realized it could be used for downtime.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Player Name Zin Z'arin (Rob Riemersma)
Character Name Rocko William
PFS Number 192785-10
Faction Grand Lodge
Day Job Roll none
Mizzie, you might find that you'll have to field fewer questions about the bonuses in that roll if you break out the spell bonus from the everyday modifier, as below:
dice=Craft (alchemy), crafter's fortune]1d20+10+5[/dice]

GM Watery Soup |

Rocko, please check the link above, and make sure everything is as expected.

I see that we earned 408 gp for the scenario. For level 1, the scenario lists 430, and for level 2 it lists 508; is this a transposition error (430/508), or did we have gp reduced for something in the scenario?
