OMID considers the assignments. The one seemed more a personal favor or errand rather than an actual mission, but Guidance did say these missions used to be more symbolic. Perhaps this hearkens back to the days when that was more true. The second does sound more like a mission with the possibility of danger. "Concerning the unknown entity in the warehouse, has anyone attempted to communicate with it? Perhaps there is some misunderstanding at the root of the issue."

![]() |

"Now when you call this alien a beast, is that just a crude moniker for a being that is not well understood, or is this an animalistic creature? And to OMID's question, is this alien being able to communicate in a way that can be understood?" Levylissa falls back into professor-mode at the prospect of understanding a new life form.

Nalo quickly takes the offered credstick. "I'll hold the money." He slips it into a small pocket on the side of his armor.
"Any description of the corpses? How were they killed?"

![]() |

"Kill a monstah and den go shoppin'?" Mincey asks rhetorically. "And getz paid fer it? Summtimes, I jus' luv bein' a Stahfinder."

"The situation at the warehouse seems the more urgent. I would urge that we take care of it before acquiring the entertainment."

![]() |

"Of course if anyone would rather not face the fight, they could split off to do the shopping. We would finish both tasks faster. -- But that is a coward's choice. I say face the beast in the warehouse first, and win what glory is to be found there."

GMGrumpelStiltzkin |

”We believe the creature is a feather stalker, a predator far more unpleasant than its name implies. As far as the Stewards have been able to piece together, a two-bit crime lord illegally imported the creature, and the beast promptly ate him.”
Zigvigix can provide holorecordings of the incident taken off the station’s security cameras. Anyone who watches them can attempt a Life Science check, using the skill’s identify creature task to discover the abilities of the feather stalker.
The doors to the warehouse were forced open and no longer lock. The warehouse ceiling is 30 feet high, and a catwalk runs 15 feet above the floor. The crates and vehicle are approximately
5 feet tall, while the cylindrical containers and the crate-filled scaffolding are 10 feet tall. Climbing the crates and scaffolding requires a successful DC 10 Athletics check. A pit in the warehouse floor is 10 feet deep. The scattered junk on the floor creates an area of difficult terrain. The lights on the catwalk are not bright enough to illuminate the area, leaving the warehouse in dim light.
You can spend a full-round action and a DC 12 Perception check to look through the crates in the warehouse for minor useful items. You can only make a number of successful checks equal to the number of Starfinders in the party.

Roddy gives Nalo a side-eye before returning his gaze to the holo recordings. He tries not to blanch as the creature tears through people. "I think it's a bad idea to split up. We have no idea how powerful this creature is; it's entirely possible it could take all of us to bring it down. It sure ripped up the idiot that brought it in without batting an eye.
" Anybody know anything about these things? I've never even heard of a 'feather stalker.' We should attack it from all sides, if we can. Looks like there's a catwalk up top; any of you good at range, that might be the place to be. Nalo and I can keep it occupied down below while you pelt it from above."

![]() |

After seeing Roddy's look at watching the holovids, Levy cautiously watches it, choosing to focus on the creature itself rather than the carnage it is unleashing. "We definitely can't split up. If these videos are any indication of the what can happen, we need all hands on deck."

Rizzit: 1d4 ⇒ 1Battery
The Starfinders make their way to the warehouse and search through the boxes for anything useful. Roddy finds a medpatch in a crate while Rizzit manages to find a battery.
You both recall some information about the feather stalker.
A creature struck by the feather stalker’s feather appendage attacks must succeed at a DC 11
Fortitude save or become sickened for 1d4+1 rounds.
It has a minor resistance to cold.
Everyone put their token on the warehouse map. The creature will not come out until certain conditions are met. In post order feel free to walk around the warehouse and explore or stay as a group, make your choice.

![]() |

"Be cautious. The creature's strikes carry a poison and they are acclimated to the cold so weapons that damage primarily through low thermal temperatures will have a lessened effect."

"Be wary, friends. Be on guard." Levy draws her pulsecaster and stands at the ready.

Mincey shrugs as the other Starfinders issue warnings. She draws her blade, clutches it between her teeth, then crouches down on a all fours, then begins to scurry around the warehouse like a rat in a maze.

OMID readies his shock pistol and goes to the closest barrel for cover.

Roddy readies the azimouth rifle in his hands. Despite being a lousy shot, it's better than nothing if he's caught at range. May as well take pot shots until he can close the distance.
He steps over to the hole in the north end of the warehouse and inspects it.

The Starfinders make their way aroudn the warehouse, always watching for the feather stalker to pop out of nowhere. Just as Rizzit moves up he notices the feather stalker in front of him.

The big vesk moves slowly into the warehouse. He tries to stay centrally located between his comrades so that he can move quickly to the aid of anyone who's threatened.
When the stalker appears he hustles down an aisleway, apparently pulling his sword of blue flame from the air.

Rizzit stealthily hits the stalker and then buries his knife in it's side. He opens up a small wound from which blood pours slowly. Mega moves up closer trying to get an advantageous position. Omid takes aim with a pistol and hits the feather stalker. The blast scorches some skin. Roddy takes aim with a hammer fist. His aim in perfect. He smashes the stalker directly on the head. It's head bleeds from the hammer fist. Levy takes aim with a pulsecaster and hits it directly. More blood flows from the stalker. Nalo, in slight pain, manages to get off a show with his weapon. He has a direct hit.

Roddy cocks back and hauls off another swing, hoping to bring the big bird down.

Good job guys That's okay Naoltrunos, in this replayable, I don't think this thing had more than 30 HP and if it does, that is a pretty powerful creature to fight at level 1. Roddy and Rizzit probably killed it.

GMGrumpelStiltzkin |

Roddy hits the creature with another hammer fist directly on the head. The creature flinches, but just then Rizzit comes up underneath the creature and slices open it’s belly. Its insides spill out onto the floor. The creature drops dead.Nice rolls there
Once you defeat the feather stalker, a contingent of station security moves into the warehouse to start removing cargo and freeing up the space for the Exo-Guardians. As this occurs, Zigvigix emerges from behind the cordon line.
“Congratulations on a successful extermination. Here have these.”
Zigvigix presents you with a set of basic iridishell armor, a pair of incendiary grenades I, and 400 credits.
”We apologize for the lack of credits we can offer but , Have fun with the grenades, but don’t blow yourselves up—I like you!”
Where you go now is up to you. You can go back and do the strawberry machine cake part, but if you don’t you won’t be missing out on anything. Let me know where you want to go.
Presents are unwrapped. Kids are playing. Now I should be back to a normal posting and GM schedule.

![]() |

I'd like to grab a copy of the Strawberry Machine Cake album so I'd like to do that part. We don't have to RP it though if people don't want, I'm cool just doing quick exposition.
I think we have the Dataphiles and Wayfinders left after that. Dataphiles next is my vote.

![]() |

Nalo glowers at the shirren during the discussion. After the shirren departs, the vesk says, "Would have been nice to have the armor and grenades before fighting bird thing. Let's get this Strawberry Caked Machined thing and move on. "
No wishes for an album myself. Happy to RP it though. Will back Roddy's vote for Dataphiles after that.

![]() |

"I wuzz promised shoppin'!" notes Mincey.
She will pick up the album .

![]() |

Levylissa is very interested in the album and intends to get a copy for herself, too. Then...off to the Dataphiles?!?

GMGrumpelStiltzkin |

On to the album.
The Starfinders move on to secure a copy of Strawberry Machine Cake.
Getting the album that Zigvigix requested requires standing in a raucous line for 6 hours.
To avoid becoming fatigued standing in line, followed by a DC 11 Reflex save to avoid taking 1d4 bludgeoning damage from the exuberant crowd on the way out.
You can each buy an extra copy of Star Sugar Heartlove!!! for yourselves, but you must pay 50 credits for each additional album. Similarly, you can pool credits together to purchase an additional copy for Zigvigix.
