GM Otha’s The Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts (Inactive)

This is the recruitment thread for The Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts. This will be run in high tier (6-7) with a little twist; we need one fearless, low-tier level three character willing to play out of tier that will be a student/sidekick of EbonFist’s character Kahwen so he can put his Model Pathfinder Agent boon to use. This is a cool boon that will grant a bonus to characters 3+ levels less than Kahwen (who is 6th level). I plan to start either Monday or Tuesday of next week, providing we have enough players by then. One high tier spot is reserved for Kahwen so we need 4 more high tier PCs along with the aforementioned 3rd level.

If we have more than enough PCs showing interest by Friday evening, I’ll select based on a combination of party mix and lottery...

I'd be interested in this one. Boftil has played the prequel (Hall of the Flesh Eaters). He's a Level 6 Barbarian.

Lvl 3 skald here (profile needs to be leveled up - sorry!). He’s got the Spell Warrior archetype that allows him to grant allies’ weapons a +1 enhancement bonus or a weapon enhancement of equal “value” if their weapon is already magical. He’s also got saving finale and other utility spells to keep him busy while not in the front lines (though he’ll be happy to flank if need be).

No characters available for the high-end of the level range unfortunately, and while my alchemist is also lvl 3 and a Gloomspire explorer, he’s not as well-suited to playing out-of-tier.

Sounds like fun! Arnold is a level 7 mostly-fighter who charges from atop his wallaby steed. I've played the prequel and sequel, both on different characters.

Hi, everyone! Thanks for helping GM Otha help me with this adventure. I appreciate the high level folks for helping me keep the low levels alive (probably) and the low level folks for being brave enough to play out of tier.

One of the things I love about this PbP community is the number of people who will come out to do something because it is fun even if it isn't particularly mechanically beneficial.

After chatting with EbonFist via PM, since we have more 3-level volunteers, he decided he'll take on two 3-level 'students' and we'll play high-tier with the 4-player adjustment.

I've done my initial read-through the scenario and while it could be somewhat challenging, it should be manageable, especially since I've played with all the 6+ level characters here in other scenarios and know they're very capable. My PC Daedin journeyed with Kahwen in The Cindersworn Pact and The Way of the Kirin...Daedin also fought alongside Boftil in the Glories of the Past trilogy and Egg was with Boftil in School of Spirits...and Flyn and Arnold Perlstein took down a nasty ghastly cleric during In Wrath's Shadow.

As it stands now, we have one 7-level, two 6-levels, and two 3-levels. If one of the the 3-level players (Raelene, grimdog, or Jahz) have an available level 5, 6, or 7 PC that they wouldn't mind playing instead of the 3-level, then that'll put us at 6 and I'll go ahead and end recruitment. That being said, Raelene being a cleric that can channel positive energy, could prove very helpful in this scenario. Any way, just let me know if one of you can do that...
