"There's some edible food here, come have a look! I'm going to bring along some of these lilies. You never know when glue might come in handy." He folds a few into his backpack, careful not to cut into the resin, and cuts off some strawberries to eat.
When he has his fill, he despoils the unlucky creature of its equipment.
Are we tracking rations in this game? Because if we are, Daivid is going to fill himself on strawberries and pumpkins for the rest of the journey, since he didn't explicitly bring anything else...

The corpse shows signs of violence, a sharp blow to the head, but whether it was accidental or intentional is unknown. The only item of value on the corpse is its cloak, which seems in unusually good shape.
As you begin harvesting some of the better-looking pumpkins and strawberries, you begin to feel and then hear a low noise: a low rumbling coming from the tunnel to the north.
GM BrOp
Just to be clear, the rumbling is coming from the tunnel that opens into to the river bed.
GM BrOp
Daivid and Yamagata: please make a successful Str or Dex check (your choice) to get out of the riverbed quickly, please.
GM BrOp
Both Yamagata and Daivid scramble out of the dried riverbed before a deluge of fast-moving water pours from the hole in the northern wall. It quickly fills to become a full stream, overflowing its banks momentarily.
As the group gathers its breath, you notice a group of humanoids approaching at the edge of your vision ahead of you.
GM BrOp
As the group comes closer, you can see that they are a truly strange bunch. Four large, furry humanoid creatures with no necks carry a slug-like humanoid creature on a large palanquin. The slug-like creature seems to be asleep. Six additional no-neck creatures draw a wagon made from dried giant mushroom stalks, upon which hangs a censer emitting thick plumes of a noxious green vapor. All of the no-neck creatures are armed with wicked-looking scimitars and eye you suspiciously.
As the travelers draw within an arrow's shot of you, the lead no-neck creature pulling the wagon calls for a stop and shouts out something in an unintelligible language while gesturing.
The warrior Oothu turns to you saying: "They speak Undercommon, the trade language of the Underworld. They ask us to clear the path and move from the bridge unless we wish to trade."
GM BrOp
OK, nothing for Daivid in a while so I will move on.
The furry no-neck creatures carting the wagon and the palanquin not to Yamagata as he moves out of the way. They pass over the bridge in silence and continue along the Devil's Highway to the east.
As they fade into the distance, the flow of water under the bridge subsides as quickly as it appeared, leaving only a small trickle of water flowing through the river bed. The plants you had noticed earlier seem to be quite used to this occasional deluge, and seem none the worse for wear.

I think I'm going to call it quits finally, although I might restart it again soon and do a full new recruitment. Would that be something you are interested in?
Daivid Bowgart
Sorry about the disappearance. I have my campaign page bookmarked, but I didn't notice that I had gotten signed out of my account until this campaign was marked as inactive. I'm still interested in the game if it starts up again, though.

Oops, thanks for posting, Daivid. Even with two of you it would have made sense to get more players and probably restart if possible. Glad to know you are still around! I'll PM you both should things get going again.
