Data's techmagic causes the jeskraal to twitch uncomfortably. The jinsul caught in the fire shrieks terirble pain. Deeply hurt, it attempts to slink away but the blood loss from the open acid wounds cause it to fall even as it retreats. Orange is dropped!
Another jinsul scurries next to one of its fellows and fires another flaming blast towards Bugface and Fuunk. The fire catches , but even as the shot is successful you see it and the other jinsul red and blue speaking angrily at each other as if they are jockeying for position.

With the immediate assault paused, you are able to assess the situation. The four jinsul seem to barely be wearing anything that could be considered proper armor, but all four had flame rifles while two still carry a Flash grenade I at their sides. Meanwhile, one of the fallen jeskraal's armor-patched shell is sparking strangely. Cautiously approaching it, you see that two [b]black forcefield upgrade[/i]s seem to have been improperly wedged into its inhabited armor.
Of course off in the distance, as the echoes of gunshots and cries fades you notice that the frenzied chittering of the jinsul's below seems to be growing louder. And closer...
You have a few rounds to regroup and assess, but not enough time for a Stamina rest: things are about to happen...

GM Zoomba |

Yes enough time to try and clear a visor, though that’ll expose you to a Fort save from the cold.
Vixi and Quirk move to hide, but gazing out you see that the noise of your combat and the crawler’s crash seems to have drawn attention towards you. A LOT of attention. Jinsul seem to be pouring from street after street towards your position, and their cries seem to be attracting more of them by the minute. They are all converging on your location in overwhelming numbers - if they reach you even the best hide those will likely be unsafe. There seems only one answer for the moment:
Run
So you can stand and fight, but it will likely 1000% go poorly for you. A quick retreat is your best option: here represented by a Chase mechanically. You could try to flee the oncoming jinsul horde on foot, but with your research of jinsul vehicles over the last few hours you can instead commandeer the jinsul vehicle and speed away in a normal Vehicle Chase (hint: this is better for you)

Yes: you will not be able to install the forcefiled pre-chase, but can grab quickly.
You can also all easily fit in the vehicle. Start-of-chase coming in the AM (of EST)

As you all pile into the crawler, several of you lower your armors' protections in order to clear your eyes and give you a full line of vision for the trials to come. Fuunk manages to hold strong and resist the biting cold, but Data Bones and Bugface each find a creeping chill sapping at their energy by the time they finish.
Bugface, Bones, and Data: you each take Nonlethal Cold damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2 and are Fatigued
The six of you board the street crawler just as the horde crests the hill. Hundreds of the aliens are choking the streets behind you, but there may be a chance to break away ahead. In the distance before you you see a series of bonfires, and beyond those snow and darkness swallow the deeper sections of the city.
And we are off! Because you're in a vehicle, you pilot (Bones or Vixi?) can take a Move action to attempt any of the Standard Pilot actions or a Full action if you're trying a Double Manuever (at the normal penalty). I've posted the cheat-sheet Pilot Action summary in the Slides. From your observance of the jinsul earlier in your journey you think you've started to understanding and predict their common behavior and get a +2 on any Trick maneuver attempts. The rest of you have your normal full-round's worth of actions to do what you wish, including potentially trying to shoot back at the jinsul's chasing you to drive them off.
Right now, the jinsul are right by you, and clamboring over themselves to try and strike at you from over the crawler's low siderails. The Crawler's is a Level 2 Vehicle, KAC 17, EAC 14, with 24 hp.
