Kyra does notice something of interest.
One of the statues bears a striking resemblance to Amenopheus.
Now, I was not around for part 2, but as this is running as a series, I'm going to 'go with the flow' and assume that Kyra was part of that.
She also remembers the vague image she saw of the Ruby sage, and another of the statues looks just like her.

I'm updated the map with a blue circle for your sapphire sage statue, a red one for the ruby sage, black ones for the statues that the light was coming from initially. I've also added lamp icons for where your lamps are at the current time.

Ezren Level 4 Pregen |

Mythic surge: 1d6 ⇒ 4 Does that help avoid the AoO? I'm spending the point and committing :)
You can call upon your mythic power to overcome difficult challenges. You can expend one use of mythic power to increase any d20 roll you just made by rolling 1d6 and adding it to the result. Using this ability is an immediate action taken after the result of the original roll is revealed. This can change the outcome of the roll.

The stocky dwarf stands strong through the first whack (appears to be 7 damage) but when the second strike almost takes him to his knees (appears to be 17), the power of the ruby sage flares and deflects most of it (using Absorb Blow vs. the crit, negating 15 of the damage and giving him 1 dr/epic and 5 resist all). The last blow still hurts, but less so (appears to be 11, -1 DR would be 10).
My totals from that end up with Khargrom -19 and down to 1 Mythic Power Left, though I admit the possibility of being wrong about the total HP.

Ray's ray strikes the construct squarely in the middle of its chest. However the rocky surface seems immune to such a small amount of cold.
didn't overcome cold resistance.
Khargrom shows dwarves are as tough as the rock that the guardian is carved from.
Excellent use of MP!
And also distinctly more agile
Although I don't think it is actually Khagrom's turn yet, I think I also messed up and did Red rather than Blue last round. Keeping you all together in initiative order makes life easier for me, so we'll have had red delay until after Khargrom's action.
The red statue follows Ray, striking out at him.
You do notice that aside from being supernaturally fast, these are getting multiple attacks. So a five foot step move while helpful... means they can 5' step and still get a multiple attack in on you..
red attacks ray: 3d20 ⇒ (7, 12, 6) = 25
Maybe the cold did have an effect, as the agile halfling stays half a step ahead of the guardian, agilely dodging each of its blows.
The blue statue of Nethys advances on Bossk.
attacks: 3d20 ⇒ (8, 7, 5) = 20 Does you AC in the stat bar include your rage penalty?

Sorry for taking so long to post, I had to look back and see what the mythic points were good for. I for got that I took the Heroic Warrior blessing, need to start adding +1 to attack and damage rolls.

Bossk missed. 17 was not sufficient to hit their AC
Bossk swings mightily, very mightily.
The statues tries to block the falchion with his staff.

But the magical falchion will not be denied. It tears a massive gash in the creature.
A second later however, his follow up blow is not as effective, being easily deflected by the creatures thick skin.

Ah, right. Dunno why I was equating any move action to movement. I had moved him, but retconning it since I'd misunderstood Kyra:

Yup, "the other left". Fixed.

![]() |

@Kyra that is what I thought, I'll adjust Ezren on the map. Left/right can be hard to translate.
@all, whoever is carrying that dagger, might just remember it at this stage..
Ezren places a lamp, in the statue that resembles your emtombed companion. The light from it reflects off the crystal door, sending a blue light to illuminate the impression of a sapphire.
Kyra does the same, providing a lamp to the statue that resembles the shade you met a few weeks ago. Light from that lamp shines onto the crystal door, bathing the ruby impression in red light.

Khargrom has the dagger based on this post; we found it in the mouth of an azata.

Edit above. I've also pasted some blank squares over the statues that animated so you don't think they might be ones you could put the lamps on.

@GM: did you cross the streams?! :) Based on your spoiler way back shouldn't blue ray be landing on the southwest gem engraving?

Clear your minds!
Thinking his usefulness as a combatant here is nil, Ray decides maybe he is best used as a target. He withdraws 10' to see if the monster will follow him out of the room, thereby giving the others some more space to work.
"Come at me bro! Come on!"
If he follows and attacks, Ray will use the Unbeatable mythic power to reduce the damage.

Then Kyra places the last lamp. Light shines out at the crystal door and a bright emerald ray refracts off... landing on the last engraving.
The two guardians stop attacking, and start back toward their assigned spaces at the ends of the rows of statues. Meanwhile the crystal door again opens and the gem prison around Amenopheus melts away.
