Conlaoch's attack misses the attacking creature as the trio continue their assault. One of the creatures each attacks Cleetus, Conlaoch and Torku.
The creature attacking Cleetus runs its claws down the warrior's side before he can react, leaving deep and bloody wounds in its wake. Critical hit on natural 20s for the attack and the confirmation. Cleetus takes 13 damage.
The red-tinged choker continues its assault against Torku, striking him again and wrapping its pliable arms around him before squeezing tightly. Hit 24 & grab 27, 5 claw damage & 6 constrict damage for a total of 11. Torku is also being strangled and can't cast spells with verbal or somatic components, though I don't think that's a problem for him.

Torku fails to strike his creature, but Conlaoch neatly cuts down the monster attacking him.
Yoon: the lack of normal components doesn't actually help while in a grapple (pinning might be different). Grappling forces a concentration check for spells and spell-like abilities regardless of the components. You missed either way, so this is just for future reference.
Conlaoch: I need you to declare when you are cleaving before the attack: it is a different action than normal attacks and applies a penalty to AC so I can't just assume that it is a bonus to a normal hit. Similar to Yoon, your Cleave followup missed anyway so it doesn't matter here. If it had hit (and red was still fighting), though, I wouldn't have counted it.

Li edges around the battlefield until he can nervously waggle a small piece of jade in the direction of the mighty Conloach.
Cletus, heal 5, I take 5. By my math that is 15 healing to Cletus this fight, and he was down exactly 15 (had -2 hp damage when the fight started, was hit for 13 in first round). He should be full up, and I have taken 15.
Li holds onto his curing wand VERY tightly, looking rather a sickly shade of blue, but trying to make sure the danger passes before he starts using it.

With a variety of attacks, the Pathfinders burn, punch and pierce the monster into a pile of flexible (but inanimate) flesh.
And now I notice that the rotation of the mountain is supposed to be continuing a hazard in this fight. Oh well...
With the creatures defeated, you are able to guide the ratfolk repair team the rest of the way to the Pagoda of the Rat. There, you are greeted by Krella, the leader of the ratfolk.
Krella speaks in a whisper, "While we wait for the repair team, I must caution you. We ratfolk have many eyes and ears in the tapestry. Your old enemies, the Aspis Consortium, have poisoned many of the tapestry's people against you, but I sense that something far more sinister lurks just out of reach. Someone--or something--is at work in the tapestry, and has taken great effort to remain hidden. I fear this is just the beginning of our trouble."
With that warning received, the party prepares to travel to Slave Mountain to confront the evil schemes of the duergar. As you do, you find that you feel recovered from your expedition to the serpentfolk ziggurat. Everyone has recovered from the sickened condition.
For this part, I need to reverify whether anyone has played PFS 6-21: Tapestry's Toil. I don't expect it to take a full posting cycle, but I should also survey the party: do you guys want to rest? This section specifically allows for one night's rest for the Pathfinders, so you can recover spells and such if you wish.

![]() |

Torku can let folks use his wand of infernal healing if we would prefer to recover as we travel - it’s an hour’s walk between locations, right? And I’m fine to continue to at least one more encounter. I’ve used about half my daily abilities so far.

![]() |

For healing, I can also lifelink everyone out of combat until they are at max or less than 5 down, and then just heal myself. The wand of infernal is appreciated though, I wish it were on the shaman list as a spell. You'd think it would be given it's on the spell list of both parent classes *Eyeroll* We have enough wounded I'm going to throw one last channel:
2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8
By my math that puts the party at the following:
Cletus: full
Li Po Wen at 19/23
Torku: 23/24
Yoon: 40/44
Conloach: 36/41
Since Conloach is down an exact 5, can lifelink him (if he's willing), get him to full, and then I have -9 to heal which Torku can heal on me with an infernal charge. Assuming everyone is fine with those logistics, then only Torku and Yoon still have damage (1 hp damage for Torku, 4 hp damage for Yoon).
RP to narrate all that^^:
Li Po Wen looks relieved when the battle ends, and notes that his bodyguards fellow agents look a little beaten up. "One moment, one moment-- let's see, where did I put it-- ah, yes, here we are, requisition order 32-C, On the Petitioning of the Spirit World for the Mitigation of Wounds--"
He seems to be reading from an invisible scroll; in an instant, a wash of healing flows over the group. (The channel)
Li seems ready to travel on, until Yanguang hoots and flies over to Conloach, circling his head and looking back at Li Po Wen, who groans. "Oh NO come on I already--"
A fresh bruise appears on the blue man's face, while Conloach heals fully. Li Po huffs, and turns to Torku. "--You said something of a more efficient form of healing?!"
***
"I at least feel less turmoil in my guts," Li Po hazards as they approach their next trial. "One must look on... the little bright spots..."
Is it indeed an hour between locations? I missed that-- if so, Barkskin is quite expired on those who had it up. I also need to remember to cast false life, and will do so now:

Travelling through a tapestry portal, you arrive in a vast cavern. Incoherent murmurs and groans echo through this large, dark cave. Tall Stalagmites emerge from the cave floor surrounded by shallow pools of water. Ahead, a dim purplish light emanating from a multifacted black gemstone the size of a human skull illuminates several humanoid forms heaped around the stone.
The cavern is dark except for dim light in a 20' radius around the gemstone. The ceilings are 20' high.
One of the duergar in the distance shouts something unintelligible and battle is joined! You see two duergar that are both without armor, another duergar that is wearing some sort of leather armor and a third duergar that appears to have been transformed into a ghoul!

DR only applies to damage that is bludgeoning, slashing or piercing and this is none of those. Your DR won't apply to this acid damage.

**OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT**
Aram Zey stands once more before the tapestry, a renewed light in his sunken eyes. “The Hao Jin Tapestry is stable at last. While you were performing your duties, I have reached a better understanding of the chaos you faced. The tapestry is still in dire condition. Lacking Hao Jin’s own magic, the tapestry has been using small pieces of departing souls to maintain itself over the centuries. This mechanism is depleting the tapestry’s water sources and spawning undead horrors. However, thanks to you, we have time to search for a more permanent fix. For now, get some rest, and—”
The former Master of Spells staggers back as a three-foot tear down the center of the fabric gouts sudden flame. Pathfinder agents flock around him, scrambling to assess the damage. A vein pops out on his forehead, and he yells sharply, “Pathfinders! What have you done?” He cuts himself short, taking a deep breath and muttering to himself, “Keep it together. Don’t take it out on the agents.” Frowning, he returns his gaze to the tapestry, his eyes darting wildly across its surface. When he speaks again, his voice is low and determined, “This new rift is no accident. Something is attacking the tapestry from the Astral Plane. Damage of this magnitude must have spawned hundreds more undead. Quickly, re-enter the demiplane and fend off the invaders!”
