Hello! I will be playing a Cleric of Nethys! Have not gotten his profile made yet but should be done before next weekend.

So either Sorcerer or Fighter for me. Still waiting on official PFS version 2 society rules before I make character. I wonder how Lore will work since in PFS you don't have 1 DM. I'm wondering if it is the discretion of the DM if the lore is too broad or not to be rolled. Like one DM might allow you to roll lore green colored creatures, while another one might say that is too broad and would say you'd have to have lore goblins for that. Or maybe for creatures and stuff, there will be a list to choose from.

Nevermind Lore is useless to pick up a bunch of them, don't get any bonuses vs normal skills.

Michael Hallet's got a much nicer sheet, but I went ahead and build my own as i wanted to understand the calculations behind the build.

I will likely pick a playtest boon for Anji but i have not decided which one.

Had signed up for a cleric earlier but since we already have one, I might want to consider a druid instead. Another class I would like to play.

I was going to play Khunbish the druid but I find that I'm not so clear of the mechanics of shapeshifting to build properly since I intend to start him at level 2 (so no free level 1 retraining). Would like to play an Alchemist instead. Would that step on anyone's toes?

I have some unfortunate news. I regret to inform you all that we will have to postpone Gameday VIII by 2 weeks.

This would place our new dates for Gameday at: 09 Sept 2019 - 17 Nov 2019

WHAT IS GOING ON? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?

As most of you are aware, the majority of the GM’s have not received their scenario support for the Convention to include a good portion of the Specials. With Tonya occupied by other duties this weekend, we realized as a team that we are very unlikely to see the remainder of scenario support drop by Monday the 26th. Multiple avenues were discussed and what seems to be the best solution is to push Gameday back by two weeks. This will allow enough time for the GM’s to receive their scenarios and prep them.

BUT WHAT IF WE ALREADY HAVE OUR SCENARIOS, CAN WE START THEM?

Please hold off until the new start date to be able to eligible for your boon rewards. I understand this is a large inconvenience, we are doing everything we can to make this work. Part of that is to have everyone one the same start / end times rather than scattered.

We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause, but we want all our GMs to have a chance to shine.

HOW DO I NOTIFY MY PLAYERS?

Go ahead and post the news to your tables. Feel free to copy this email if you wish. We will be posting notices in all the PBP lodges as well as the Gameday VIII Announcement page.

I know this is not what we hoped to do, and I’m sorry. Thank you for understanding that we’re scrambling to fix this.

Well... I'm not that disappointed as this delay gives me the time to familiarize myself more with the new rules.

Note that I took the PFS special option of taking 2 additional penalties to stats to augment another (+2 to Str and -2 to Int and Cha). Tempted to take the Weapon Proficiency feat to get trained in martial weapons to be more effective in combat, but I don't see anyway to improve that to expert, etc later. And on that note, alchemist's don't get better than expert in bombs? Hmm...

Hi all! Apologies in advance. Part of my work week, I typically do site work on days Tues-Thurs. Normally I can keep up with PBP in my work schedule as I limit my games but I think i went in overenthusiastic on gameday! While i don't intend to drop out of any games, my post will be lacking on these 3 days as I have to prioritize updating my games. And my priority will go to the games I am GM for..

If this is a problem with anyone, let me know and I try to ensure I work something out.

Heads up: starting tomorrow and to the 21th (or possibly the 22th) of september I'll be travelling for a short vacation. It's unlikely I'll be able to post, so please bot me as needed

Alright, I have reported the game to the Gameday folks. I will be sending out chronicles on Monday, but as tomorrow is the deadline, I had to make sure to get us reported.

Now, what did I do wrong? (Caveat: this is a new system and I can't learn until I know where I went wrong.) Thoughts?

I do have to apologize: a friend pointed out that these do function like quests, and you can take as much time as you need. I'm very glad my error did not murder anyone and I definitely would have restored any victims had they occurred.

Thanks GM, and everyone for the game! Apologies for my absences towards the end. Work is getting unpredictable and I think I got to rethink my commitments.

On the note of the game, when i ran it i treated each part as a different day, but it did make the game too easy. So not having each part as a new day did make it a bit refreshing for me to figure out how to make best use of my resources.
