I'll post Isandra's full info in a bit. I'll be writing from my phone so I don't have most of my info easily accessible.

I need to *find* my character sheet for Nephrael, but I'll add her stuff...soon (tm).

Due to the special play-by-post rules for Bonekeep, you are only allowed to complete up to half of the available rooms. I won’t tell you how many rooms there are, though. Instead, I’ll give you three options to choose from. Based on your choice, we’ll narrow it down to one approach.
Here are your options:
1). Freeform: You decide where to go and which rooms to explore. Some rooms have more than two doors, and you might randomly choose the correct path that leads to the final—and very deadly—encounter, though that would be rare. Once you’ve completed up to half of the total rooms, the game ends.
2). The Fun Run: This option covers half of the rooms in the dungeon. Some of these rooms contain MacGuffins that you must collect to deactivate an otherworldly device in one of the rooms. It does not take you to the final encounter. You will need to go back through rooms that you already cleared. This is my favorite option and the way I’ve run Bonekeep in the past.
3). The Gauntlet: You take the most direct route to the final encounter. You'll be missing out on some rooms that have helpful items, however, if you think you have what it takes (and surely you all have maximized PCs and can work well as a group) this route takes you straight to the end. If you survive, then, Hooray!
So, which do you choose?
Dimak
|
Hm, now I'm torn between The Fun Run and The Gauntlet...
Do any of these choices mean that we miss out on boons/PP/gold on the chronicle sheet?
| GM Roll4initiative |
I forgot to mention that you can only earn up to half the gold on the chronicle sheet because you're only traversing up to half of the dungeon.
You will still earn full prestige if you survive or do not leave the dungeon before half the rooms are completed.
As for boons, all three options give you the chance to earn at least one.

I am totally for the most difficult and most benefitial Gold/boon option! :)

All of the encounters are quite difficult, especially at the high tier. I would like to suggest doing the Fun Run.

Ok, I thought about it: My vote goes to The Fun Run.
@Kenji Haru: I put Dimak in the front in the single file marching order, because he has a high Perception, a reach weapon and Combat Reflexes, so he should get AoOs if enemies come charging towards us, even in the surprise round and/or if he hasn't acted yet.

Thanks Dimak! Works well!
I am voting for the Gauntlet because I’d really like to experience the final encounter.

One vote for Fun Run and one vote for The Gauntlet.
Let's hear those votes, people!

I haven't done this before so I would go with the fun run.

Dimak: Fun Run
Kenji: The Gauntlet
Isandra: Fun Run
Waiting for 3 more votes!
Also, if you haven't already, please fill in the information on slide 2 and your character info on RPGChronicles. Thanks!

Using MISFORTUNE
So team, I need to inform you all about mechanical stuff related to Kenji that affects all of you!
MISFORTUNE revelation - REROLLING ANY d20 ROLL BEFORE KNOWING THE RESULT
Misfortune (Ex): At 1st level, as an immediate action, you can force a creature within 30 feet to reroll any one d20 roll that it has just made before the results of the roll are revealed. The creature must take the result of the reroll, even if it’s worse than the original roll. Once a creature has suffered from your misfortune, it cannot be the target of this revelation again for 1 day.
The trickiest thing for everyone to keep track of in a PbP format is his Misfortune revelation. Basically, Kenji can require anyone (including allies) to reroll a d20 once/day.
Caveats: it uses his immediate action (so it's not available when he's still flatfooted) and it has a 30' range limitation.
This means that
a) I can use it on you once/day per person;
b) but I can only use it once/round (since it uses my immediate);
c) so as an ally try to stay within 30' of Kenji if possible.
To my fellow players: In a PbP format, I think one good way to handle this is for you each to decide for yourselves if you want to use the ability and just be sure that someone else hasn't already used my immediate previously that round.
To the GM: With regard to foes, I'm fine with the GM reflecting the misfortune hex against a foe, using the following priorities:
- Enemy attack rolls: If a foe threatens a crit against an player that has only 20 hp left then Kenji will immediate action misfortune the initial attack roll.
- Enemy saving throws: When they have to make a save and have rolled 13 or better on the d20 roll then Kenji will immediate action misfortune the reroll the saving throw.
I hope this was understandable! :-)
Thanks to GM Abraham from whom I copied major portions of the text above as he is also using Misfortune with one of his characters.

How did you get the misfortune revelation? I don't see it in the list of Revelations under the Lore mystery.
I will try to remember when to apply it.

Hello GM, "Misfortune" is a revelation available only to the Archetype "Dual Cursed" Oracle.
Revelations: A dual-cursed oracle gains a new revelation at 5th level and 13th level. These are in addition to the normal revelations she receives at 3rd level, 7th level, and so on. In addition, the cursed oracle may select the following revelations in place of a mystery revelation.
Fortune (Ex): At 5th level, as an immediate action, you can reroll any one d20 roll that you have just made before the results of the roll are revealed. You must take the result of the reroll, even if it’s worse than the original roll. You can use this ability once per day at 5th level, and one additional time per day for every six oracle levels beyond 5th.
Kenji took this revelation when he became a 1st level Oracle.

Could I have a stipulation like "I will use Kenji's misfortune if the number on the die for an attack is 5 or less"?
Kenji Haru
|
Ah. Ok, cool. How many times a day can you do it? Is it unlimited?
Hello GM,
Once per day per person. Except of this limit it is unlimited uses per day, but only once per round through an immediate action.

You can only use this once per day. So I’d say it would make sense to specify that you’ll use it on a fort save or will save or a stabilization roll or whatever. So be specific. ;-)

I believe only Kenji can use the revelation on another creature. He can't allow another PC to use the ability.

This was more for the GM's benefit. Can I specify the conditions under which I would like the ability to be used on my character, so others will know when to potentially trigger it? I know I can't base my decision on whether the roll was a success, which is why I proposed a condition based on the number showing on the die.
| GM Roll4initiative |
Orenjii, do you have a boon that grants access to the Mortal Usher prestige class? It is not PFS legal.
Orenjii

| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Affirmative. It was the GM boon for PaizoCon 2020. One of my options was:
Archetype and Prestige Class Access: You are a patron to heroes of the war against the Whispering Tyrant. You may attach a copy of this boon to any of your Pathfinder First Edition characters to give them access to the mortal usher prestige class, the phoenix bloodline (bloodrager), and the soulbound summoner unchained summoner archetype.

Looks like we're still missing Meranthi/Nephrael. Hopefully they'll chime in soon with their character.
Dimak
|
@Party: Dimak will hand out a few wands to our casters for buffing/healing. One of these can be used on everyone (only if they and/or their familiar/animal companion want to get this buff, of course): Lucky Number. Just roll a D20, everyone, I'll mark off the charges.
Wand of Infernal Healing ---> Orenjii (for arcane emergency healing)
Wand of Enlarge Person ---> Orenjii (please use it on Dimak when requested)
Wand of Endure Elements ---> Isandra
Wand of Bless ---> Isandra
Wand of Lucky Number ---> Isandra
Wand of Comprehend Languages
Wand of CLW
Dimak's Lucky Number: 1d20 ⇒ 9
You are able to tweak tiny variables affecting a creature’s immediate future in order to grant the target a bit of luck at the right time. Roll a d20; once during the duration of lucky number, when the target creature rolls that result (regardless of what type of dice the target rolls), the creature has the option to either reroll the result or add a +2 luck bonus to the result. The creature must decide to use this ability before the success or failure of the original roll is known. A creature can have only one lucky number at a time. If lucky number is cast on a creature already affected by that spell, the new number replaces the previous one.
| GM Roll4initiative |
Going to give Meranthi 24 hours from right now to post. I'll probably post the introduction before then, but, I hope they join in soon.
I was going to message Ira Kroll from the recruitment thread and have them join, however, after looking over their characters mentioned in their post, they are all 2e PCs. Whoops!

Sorry about that! Signed in now.
Lucky Number, Nephrael: 1d20 ⇒ 2

Thanks lucky number: 1d20 ⇒ 10
| GM Roll4initiative |
Be sure to jot those lucky numbers down in your profile somewhere. I've used that spell before on other PCs and had forgotten about it.
Doran, be sure to fill out the slide with all the saving throws and initiative and stuff. Thanks!
Dimak

I put my lucky number in my header. That way I can compare it immediately when I see the results of a roll in the preview of a post.

Are there any spells people would specifically like Nephrael to take? Her standard spells are on the character sheet.
Dimak

Dimak will lend his Scroll of Lesser Restoration (3 of 5 uses left) to Isandra, too.
Isandra Aemaldir
|
Dimak, Doran and Isandra have the highest perceptions it seems. Want to take 20? That would be a minute of searching.
Dimak
|
Hm... if I give my Eyes of the Eagle to Doran (for this scenario), his Perception modifier will increase by 5 to +18 (+21 vs. traps).
Taking 20 would get him a Perception result of 38 (41 vs. traps).
Taking 10 results in 28 (31 vs. traps).
That's him alone, without any aid!
With a remaining Perception modifier of +9, Dimak still can auto-aid.
@Doran: I think we should do this!

Can we take averages for wand heals? I have no problem blowing through my CLW wand. I have a lot of prestige to get more.

Unfortunately, no, since there are no rules in PFS that say you can do so. Unless, there are rules and I just don't know about it.

Nope, just something we do locally to save time. I'm cool with rolling.
