Calmly watching as her arrows took down one dog, Koyuki glanced across to the animal menacing Ner and smoothly pivoted around, sending another two arrows out.

Petronia Fangborne |

The chorus of growling in the room became Petronia's solo as Koyuki's arrows silenced the final dog. The skinwalker shook her head in disgust, "Such a waste."
The brawler moved into the room now that the dogs were no longer an obstacle and began to look around trying to find any evidence of the Shadow Lodge.

Matheus Winterglade |

Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35 That game I can play as well!
"Seconded," Matheus murmured sadly, taking a moment to see if any of the beasts still lived, and if so, did what he could to stabilize them with his herbs and bandages - he rather doubted the hounds would try to challenge them again, now that they had established their status as superior predators.
Once that priority task had been seen to, the druid joined Petronia in looking for signs of human habitation, and ways leading into the supposed hiding place of the renegade Pathfinders.
BTW... Petronia isn't wounded, right? If so, please update your status bar - I was going to start healing before I recalled Angie complaining about all them AC ;^)

Angie H |

For a moment there was silence. Two dogs dead, one knocked unconscious. Petronia moved into the room carefully, looking for clues. A large wooden door stood closed directly opposite the one they came in; a pile of garbage and other refuse was heaped to the left of it. To the right was another door, propped half-open; it looked like a storage room.
Ner and Koyuki also began to look around, as Matheus moved towards the injured dog to heal it. Oksana alone stayed put, and kept her ears open for the sounds that they'd been heard.
The second wave of attacks came as a complete surprise. Three objects came flying down from the rafters. One hit Koyuki straight in the face, and another crashed onto Matheus's head. A third crashed a few feet from Ner. Each burst into flame, and the three Pathfinders found themselves beating at flames in their hair and clothes.
Looking up, Petronia spotted three goblins clinging to the rafters, already reaching for a second bomb to throw. All three looked unusually robust and strong.
Surprise! The goblins have partial cover, but are not concealed. Koyuki and Matheus, make a ref save DC 12 or catch on fire. New initiative rolls please. I assume they'll go first, can any of you beat that roll? But you can post a reaction if you like.

Matheus Winterglade |

Ouch. Fire damage erodes Matheus's Ice Armor for 1AC's worth.
Ref save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Initative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
What I'd really want to do would be to ready casting of a Create Water to try to counter a fire bomb that hits one of us (as they are more Molotov's cocktails than explosives, I believe...) but would that be OK with you, Angie? Drop several gallons of magically conjured cold water on anyone engulfed in flames mere moments after it happens, extinguishing the flames before they have time to cause damage. If not, then I guess it's another Storm Burst time.
Matheus yelped as the bottle of flammable liquid spread flames over him. It was a blessing, perhaps, that he wore to little in the way of clothes - the cloak was easily removed and stomped on to extinguish the flames, and the steam rising from his conjured armor of ice as the flames melted it helped to cool him down a bit.
"Try to take one of them alive!" Matheus reminded the others, moving back to take shelter from successive attacks. "We need answers more than we do corpses."
Retreating a couple steps to the first room, to make it harder for the goblins to drop more bomb on him...

Ner 'The Rat' |

ref save vs DC12: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Ner didn't see the bomb fall but, like a surprised cat, as the bomb exploded his body leapt before he realized what he was jumping from! He spent a few precious seconds figuring out what was happening.

Matheus Winterglade |

Right, let's do that, then, since I like the idea. Guess Matheus will use his next action to ready casting that Create Water if needed... not like he has tons of combat spells to help deal with the goblins... after the battle ends and comes time for healing, though...

Koyuki |

ref: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
init: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Fire, fire!
Koyuki screamed in pain and alarm as the heat washed over her. She thought of nothing other than getting away from the flame, whipping her head back and forth and using her hands to beat out the tiny flickering fires that threatened to burn across her skin.
Patting the last ember out, she glanced up. Her face was blackened and scorched, eyes tearing at the smoke and red-rimmed, full of rage at the goblins.

Angie H |

The goblins took advantage of their superior position and the complete surprise by which they'd taken the party. They threw another stoppered vial each at the intruders, this time aiming at Koyuki, Ner, and Petronia. Thanks to the success of the ambush, none of the Pathfinders were ready for the second volley, and all scored direct hits.
Oksana was ready by now with a slumber hex, but she needed to move into the doorway to see the goblins hiding in the rafters. The goblin was taken completely by surprise, and as he drifted off to sleep, he lost his grip and fell to the floor. The pain of impact immediately woke him up again, but he stared at the ceiling a moment, temporarily stunned, wondering how he'd ended up on the floor.
Check spoiler for damage, and roll for if you're on fire. Everybody up! One goblin is on the floor, as per the map, the other two are about 15 feet up in the rafters.
I almost forgot that everybody is flat footed. I don't think my bad guys have ever had this good a start to a fight!

All three - Ref save DC 12 or catch on fire.
will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Matheus Winterglade |

Right... now Matheus will do one of the things: if someone fails their save and catches fire, he'll use that Create Water "counterspell" to negate it. Prioritizing Ner, I think, then Koyuki, if multiple people fail their save since I believe they already have taken some damage. Or, if everyone makes their save, ready action to "counterspell" the next firebomb that actually hits someone.

Oksana Zhukov |

Great job using the ranged spell to hit the goblin that Petronia can actually reach instead of the ones in the rafters :P
Not sure if her attack is needed but if it is, here it is
Petronia stomped over to the dazed goblin that had fallen out of the rafters with the intent of ripping it apart with her claws.

Ner 'The Rat' |

They are in the rafters but there are no posts indicated on the map - it there a way up there?
The bomb hit Ner and its' oily solution ignited over his armour. He was like a little candle lit with a strange deep red flame.
ref vs DC12: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
He ignored the flame and leapt to the floor - rolling for the cover of the nearby table. The deep red sputtered out as the tiny halfling pulled out his little bow.
Ner will use the cover of the table to try to obscure exactly where he is - though never leaving splash range - and hope to gain some measure of surprise next round. Perhaps we could deal with this like sniping where he would receive -10 to his stealth to get his surprise bonus?

Koyuki |

ref: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Gritting her teeth so hard they creaked, Koyuki used every ounce of combat training she'd ever had, coupled to the powe of nature she could feel thrumming through her. She brought up her bow.
"We can play with fire too..."
She unleashed two arrows, their burning tips eager to seek goblin flesh.
Rapid shot longbow: 1d20 + 10 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 10 + 1 - 2 = 28

Angie H |

There are no posts, but there's a heap of garbage on the far wall that could be climbed, and then it's only about 6 feet up to the rafters. Yes, Ner can snipe this round.
Oksana's snowball hit the prone goblin just seconds before Petronia tore into him with tooth and claw. The combination of ice and beast was just enough to overcome the goblin, and he died choking on his own blood.
Koyuki's first arrow tore into one of the bomber's thigh, and he screamed in pain and surprise as the fire arrow burned him. The second arrow thunked into the rafter supporting him.
Swearing in goblinoid, he threw a third bomb at Koyuki. The bomb crashed into the ground at her feet, but Matheus was ready for it. Even as the bomb exploded, the druid summoned gallon after gallon of water down upon it. The force of the explosion still caused Koyuki to stumble back a step, but aside from being drenched, she was otherwise unaffected.
The final goblin, seeing Petronia tear his friend apart, launched his third bomb at the shifter. She saw it coming, however, and leapt just out of range of the blast.
bomb at K: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
bomb at P: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16

Ner 'The Rat' |

Ner skittered out from beneath the table and readied an arrow. Being a little short for a halfling he didn't even need to crawl. Like a flash he poked his head out and shot a wild arrow trying to get sight of whatever foe he could see.
stealth -10: 1d20 + 16 - 10 ⇒ (1) + 16 - 10 = 7
shortbow: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

sneak attack damage: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1) = 6
His foot got caught on a stone as he made for a space to get a clear shot, however, and he all but fell into the open floor. His shot was less than superb.

Matheus Winterglade |

Matheus gave Koyuki an apologetic shrug as his cantrip half-drowned her in cold water – it beat another set of burns, the druid thought. He’d have plenty of healing to do as it was, once the battle ended. He just hoped they’d end up with at least one prisoner to interview… what Petronia had just done to the one who had fallen down should encourage any survivors to be helpful. Assuming they would be any survivors to speak of.
He considered taking out his sling to help in Ner’s and Koyuki’s efforts to bring more of the goblins down where Petronia could reach them, but decided against it – he had never been much of a shot, and negating the fire bombs the creatures kept throwing down at them seemed to be better use of his time.

Petronia Fangborne |

Petronia growled in frustration as the only foe in reach had the nerve to die. Having nothing left to punch or rend, she scanned the room for a way to get to the remaining goblins. Spotting the pile of garbage in the corner, she climbed it and used it to launch herself into the rafters.

Koyuki |

Eyes wide in fear as another goblin bomb sailed through the air towards her, Koyuki clenched her jaw and braced for the burning pain again.
As water burst from nowhere and doused the fire, she saw Matheus concentrating and a burst of relief and gratitude washed over her along with the swiftly cooling water.
She shook her head, sending water droplets cascading across the room, and brought up her bow once more, sighting down the length of the arrow and loosing.

will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
falling damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8
Three arrows plunked into the rafters - Ner's short one, and Koyuki's two fire arrows. The goblins shrieked with laughter, preparing to throw more bombs. Growling in anger, Petronia leapt into the rubbish heap, and from there jumped up and caught a rafter, ready to pull herself up. At the same time, Oksana's hex stole consciousness from a second goblin, which fell to the floor before waking up again in pain.
The final goblin in the rafters, seeing Matheus neutralize its last bomb, targeted the druid. However, instead of throwing a bomb, it threw a small, dark bag instead.
Matheus was ready, and summoned the gout of water and doused himself as the projectile impacted the floor at his feet. However, rather than fire, a web of sticky goo exploded from the bag. Unimpeded by the deluge, the chemical reaction expanded and hardened the goo, and Matheus found himself firmly entangled in it. Ref Save DC 15 or you're stuck to the floor.
The fallen goblin stood up, shook his head to clear it, and raced towards the unopened door behind them.
He won't quite get there this round.
tanglefoot bag: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Ner 'The Rat' |

Ner did his best on his short legs to race the goblin to the door to try to block it off.

Storm Burst, ranged touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

The druid muttered a curse as the sticky goo from the alchemical bomb attached him frimly to the floor. Good thing he didn't have anywhere to go in a hurry, he thought as he reached out a hand towards the fleeing goblin and pelted it with another miniature storm, hopefully making it easier for Ner to drop the creature before it got away.

Petronia Fangborne |

Strength,DC10: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Petronia grabbed the beam with both hands and swung back and forth a few times to get her leg high enough to throw over the beam and pull herself up.
Once in the rafters her steely gaze fixed on the remaining goblin and she gave a toothy grin of a predator hunting their prey.
Acrobatics,DC10: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
The brawler's natural agility allowed her to race across the beams towards the goblin.
I'm assuming that she can't attack so I'll leave it there...hopefully scaring the crap out of the goblin :)

Oksana Zhukov |

Oksana once again waves her hand and a ball of snow suddenly appears. She takes aim and fires it at the goblin attempting to escape.

Ooc - posting from my phone, so not doing rolls through this site. Assuming koyuki will shoot at escaping goblin.
The running goblin dodged past Ner, and managed to avoid both storm and snowball. However, one of the archer's arrows took him square between the shoulder blades, and he fell to the ground, shuddering in pain.
The last goblin, faced with a snarling Petronia, threw his final bomb square at her face. The shifter dodged it with a fluid movement, and it shattered on the floor below, just missing the halfling.
Ooc - final turn, I assume...

Ner 'The Rat' |

Ner took a quick look at the fallen goblin heal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 to check if it was dead.
If the goblin appears dead he will run towards the final goblin, if not he will watch over it to make sure it doesn't escape

Matheus Winterglade |

The last gobbo is up high with Petronia about to grap it? Not much Matheus can do to help in that fight... might as well start cutting the tanglefoot clue with a dagger.

Koyuki |

Koyuki draws a bead on the last goblin, loosing another two arrows in quick succession.

Petronia reached out and easily grabbed the burly goblin by the neck. Shrieking in surprise, it lashed out with another vial, this time smashing it directly against her face. The alchemist's fire immediately burst into intense flame, burning and blistering her cheek and hair. Some of the fire splashed onto the goblin, and it yelled in pain and writhed in Petronia's grip.
Make a full-round action Dex roll, DC 15, to put the fire out before taking another round of damage. If you do not, take 1d6 damage at the start of your round. DC 20 if you are trying to do it one handed.
thrown weapon at P: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 9 - 2 = 23

Before Petronia could react to the fire, two arrows struck the goblin, one after the other. Again, it squealed in pain, thrashing desperately to free itself.
Matheus chipped away at the now-solid goop entangling him. Hit is automatic, you're free after it takes 15 points damage. Roll damage for last round.
Ner crouched over the downed goblin, who was curled on his side, moaning and reaching for something in his bag. Ner recognized the colour of a healing potion as he began to withdraw it from a pouch. Ner can decide if he wants to prevent the goblin from taking it.
Everybody up.

Ner 'The Rat' |

Ner smacked the goblin with his sap in the hopes of subduing the little flame thrower.

Petronia Fangborne |

Petronia's grip was like iron encircling the goblin's neck even with being coated in flames. She hated to release the creature even at the expense of her own health. She tried to smother the flames while holding onto the goblin but to no avail.
Do you roll the additional fire damage or does she? And does she need to roll another grapple check?

Oksana Zhukov |

Oksana moves over to where Ner has clobbered the wounded goblin, she waits to see if the creature goes down or not. If it is still moving, she casts an icy ray at the goblin.
(Ray of frost)

Matheus Winterglade |

2 round's worth of chipping at the glue: 2d6 - 2 ⇒ (6, 2) - 2 = 6
"Will you stop already, before you lose your lives?" Matheus growled at the two still struggling goblins while he tried to scrape off the damnable glue with his sickle. "If you cooperate you might get out of this alive, but if you keep fighting, it won't end well for you. We need answers more than we do your tanned hides.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

Koyuki |

Taking a few quick steps, Koyuki nocked another arrow and moved within a few paces of the goblin held tightly in Petronia's grip.
"Stay. Still." she said, calmly and quietly yet with enough weight to drown out the rest of the noise in the room.
diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
"If you keep struggling, my friend will keep squeezing, that only ends one way. If instead you talk then you might buy your life with your words..."

Angie H |

The goblin at Ner's feet dropped limply to the ground, his head firmly rung by the sap. This back still rose and fell with shallow breath, but he was out for the moment.
The goblin in Petronia's grasp finally seemed to hear what the others were saying, and he stopped struggling. Squeezing the words out past the hand on his throat, he said, "Fine, fine, I stop."
Covered by Matheus, Koyuki and Oksana, Petronia dropped the goblin, then lowered herself and dropped to the ground. True to his word, the goblin stayed where he landed on the floor, nursing a twisted ankle. "Fine. Go downstairs. I go, not bother you."

Petronia Fangborne |

additional alchemist fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Petronia finished extinguishing all the fire that had ignited on her skin and growled at the goblin. "Not so fast. We have questions and if you don't answer then my hands get familiar with your throat again." She flexed her arms, "Let's start with you telling us where the entrance to downstairs is."

Matheus Winterglade |

Healing, healing... Angie, I believe everyone hasn't been updating their current HP status, so could I have a rundown of the damage so I can start casting accordingly?
"And please follow that with an account of what are we going to find down there," Matheus added as he took out his wand and began making the rounds to provide healing.

Ner 'The Rat' |

Ner looked down at his unconscious foe and something weedled inside him. A wriggling little phantom spider deep down in his stomach was whispering to him in some secret language, making him feel like he was alone in the dark. He clenched his fist around the sap, said something in goblin through clenched teeth, and hit the prone and unmoving creature.

Koyuki |

Koyuki turned to Matheus and whispered
"Tha sinn ag iarraidh fògarraich, a bheil sinn cinnteach gu bheil sinn airson leigeil le beul àrd is sanntach a dhol air grunnachadh agus a ghlacadh air liosta Irrisen as Motha."
"We're wanted fugitives, are we sure we want to let loud and greedy mouths free to wander and catch up on the Irrisen's Most Wanted list?"
Her eyes never left the goblins, whilst her bow was lowered, her hands were steady and sure, just waiting.
Status: 23/38 hp

Angie H |

Ok folks, if you want healing, tally up your hurts! Don't make me do it....
The goblin glanced at the main door on the west wall, then to the open door to what looked like a storage room. After a brief pause, he nodded towards the western door and said, "Right there," then shrugged as if to imply they were idiots for asking. "Don't know what is down. We upstairs guards. Not allowed down. Down for boss only. Boss Glorfan. Big goblin - half-troll! Him kill you good. Eat you up!" He looked very satisfied at the proposition.
