I've posted at the top of the board a map of the Courtyard that shows the orientation/location of the Pantheon, six inner palaces, canal, and six outer towers of testing. The symbols on the map are just symbols; they are not scale models of the structures represented.
The central most structure at the middle of the map is the Pantheon, temple to the six deities playing this Game of Mortals.
The six palaces encircle the Pantheon within the parameters of the ring-shaped canal. The PCs start the campaign in one of these six palaces. Clockwise from top right: Thor's champion (Sven), Kali's champion (TBD), Kwan Yin's champion (Essel), Hades' champion (Mydravos), Marduk's champion (TBD), and Bast's champion (Ealsealf).
The ring shaped canal encircles the six palaces and the Pantheon, and is spanned by four arched marble bridges, each 20 feet wide and 30 feet long (the canal is 30 feet wide), at north, east, South, and west.
Six ominous towers of testing surround the canal in the outlying countryside of the Courtyard. These are as yet of unknown quality...

To move things along, I’m just going to assume Essel learns the basics of the Game to save time and get us interacting.

I'm having a real hard time equipping a small creature with Str 7 (light load=17.25)(especially with armor weighing in at 12.5 pounds), and have everything it needs for survival.
RAW, it says that there is no penalty for flying encumbered. That being said, I can imagine trying to fly with such a low Str and a lot of weight could be difficult.
So my question is, @Michael Johnson 66, is what is your ruling on this?(or do I even need to worry about this, since I have a palace in a central location, and two personal servants?)

My ruling would be that fly speeds are reduced by encumbrance, so if you want to be able to fly well, you'll need to travel light or get stronger lol

Is there any way to have Jingle and/or Jangle accompany me?

They are yours to command.

Instead me grilling you on their stats, do you mind just PMing me Jingle's stat block?

Each PC has two clockwork servants at their service. Cosmetic differences exist, but their stats are all the same. Ealsealf's servants have mechanical wings and a fly speed of 30 feet (poor maneuverability).

Ouch. And so the Game of Mortals claims its first victim.
Haha! Yup! At least it was a DM-run rage bot and not a PC...
Looks like one or more of you will be Overlord of more than one domain by endgame... of course, she has 4 rounds before she bleeds to death, and might stabilize...

I agree on the idea of railroading- PBP works best, from my experience, when the GM puts the characters in the right spot, then lets them go from there. That's usually 'in front of a dungeon,' but so long as the option of saying no exists, it usually works.

Sven: 40 gc
Ealsealf: No idea, where is your character sheet?
Essel: 31gc
Mydravos: 10gcEalsealf, can you get us to 100 so we can buy 2 potions of CLW?
Ealsealf: 63gp
So yes.
But I also have a version of lay on hands.(1d6 healing as a standard action 6/day)

I see. That’s better than being bankrupt. Want to put our gold together for 2 potions though? That way if you go down we can save you.
That sounds good, what are we all going to pay?

I'm going on tour with my dance troop for the rest of July, i'll still be able to post, but probably less frequently, and my formatting will take a hit, since I'll be on my phone.

Essel Theana |

Posting to my games- Sorry I've been a bit absent from the boards lately, I've been busy at a summer research program, and it's picking up a lot as I near the end.
Also, in a little over a week, I'm going to be out of the country for three weeks. While I'll still try to keep everything updated, it'll be at odd hours and I may not be able to check for a couple of days at a time. So, bot me if needed in combat, and in about a month, I'll be back to my normal posting rate and schedule.

Mydravos "The Harbinger" |

Just a heads up, that my daughter was born earlier this week, and that my post grammar and formatting may dip a little due to more stress and less sleep. I should be able to post at an ok rate but if I happen to miss a couple days this is why. Feel free to bot me if it’s needed, I would hate to hold up everything.

Hey all, sorry for the delay in posting, I've been at a weekend-long Dharma Assembly in Chicago at a Dao temple with my kung fu teacher and haven't had any free time the last 3 days to post. We are getting ready to drive back home (to Florida), and I will try to post that map of the Ziggurat I've been promising soon. Thanks for your patience! :)
