Ending position is 7 squares east and 3 squares north of the chest.

DC to find me is 30 + Distance.

Penny slithers forward deciding to risk going were a rune in hopes of encountering the foe.

activate Y rune and aint even gonna bother trying to perception that, can't beat it.

Shamanita finishes her chant and releases a soothing wave of sleepy energy towards the lone visible opponent.

Finish casting sleep. DC 14 will to save once again. Will this be just as colorless as last time?

And with that penny disperses in a hiss of shadows.


Shamanita nods, and moves in for what she hopes will be a decisive blow.

Moving to Tobias, making a melee attack.

Damage (S): 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Shrouded in Mist-ery:
Fast Stealth: 1d20 + 12 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 12 - 5 = 25

Beansidhe moves through the mists, coming to the edge she breaks for one moment, ending in the shadows of the far tarp hiding there.

Go North (and a little West) for a 50' movement that ends under the tarp 5 squares East and three North of guy Smitey. I don't have cover for part of that, but my understanding is that ending in the dim light should allow me to stay unobserved thought-out the movement, correct? As for finding me, I'm pretty sure even without including distance Shamanita can't beat that one, so I didn't calculate distance, but can if you want me to.


Shamanita takes a look around, shrugs and makes a run for the obscuring mist, passing over the rune directly south of the chest as she goes. She enters the mist directly west of the chest and is obscured.

Run action through the rune to the mist, passing over the c-ish rune south of the chest.

Spoiler:
Ending in the mist 2 spaces west, 1 space north of the chest unless the rune stops my movement in some way.

Beansidhe steps to the side, and pulls out an arrow. She watches the mist for Shamanita to appear and readies herself.

Readied Action: Shoot Shamanita if she begins to open the chest. Yes I realize I may miss the opportunity because of specifying. But I don't want to give my position away with her still having a possible action.
Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Readied Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Readied Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 1 = 7

Dang just shy of the damage I need to drop her. And a bad stealth, Ugh. That's alright. It was a longshot anyway. I'll probably still get the win at least.

DC 19 Perception (Assuming you're around the chest; different for different positioning):
Beansidhe stands under the tarp, 60' directly North of the chest. Arrow nocked and ready.

I don't know that this has to be said, but I probably should just in case. That is a DC 19 check once outside of the mist. I'd just put this in the discord, but was worried it might get lost.


Shamanita PMed me on the forums with a question...that will have extended her normal 24/48 hour deadline. Shamanita, your standard 24 hours starts now. If you will not be able to post between now and 10 AM CST tomorrow please let me know.


Hidden Turn:

Shamanita attempts to stay hidden at the edge of the obscuring mist (still one north, 2 west of the chest,) looks around to see if she can spot any sign of Beansidhe, and readies an Evil Eye Hex should Beansidhe come within 20 feet of her.

stealth to hide at the edge of the obscuring mist: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (13) - 2 = 11

Without knowing where Beansidhe is it's hard to know how to modify that exactly. I'll let Nairb the Grey determine whether I'm seen if there's a roll.

Perception to spot Beansidhe: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

That one on the other hand is easier to calculate. I'll keep looking.

You can make a perception check to spot me. Without a location I'm not sure what the DC might be, so I'll let Nairb the Grey determine how that goes.


Beansidhe, from your vantage point the perception DC through the obscuring mist is 19 (distance and unfavorable conditions - the mist).

Beansidhe - Perception 19:
You can see the silhouette of a figure at the edge of the mist, enough for you to possibly attempt an attack with your held action. You would have the 20% miss chance from obscuring mist. The range for range increments is 65'

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Beansidhe looks around and smiles. She stands still in the shadows letting them wash over her as she studies the figure shrouded in mist. She then pulls another arrow and fires.

Move action: Study Shamainita for studied target; Free: 5' step N (65' North of Standard: Fire at Shamanita

Readied Attack+Studied Target: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 6 + 1 = 25
Damage+Arcane+Studied Target: 1d8 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 6

Throwing in an edit so as to make things clear. I didn't roll miss chance because all before this in our arena had been rolled by the defender. I assumed that that is what would be happening here. Nairb asked me to remind you that being in the mist you get that 20% miss chance. (or at least I assume it's 20 because she's on the edge of the mists, I may be wrong on that. If so . . . well then that was a mistake and I should not have done that. Oh well.)


Miss chance from concealment: 1d100 ⇒ 55

Shamanita scowls to the north as the arrow finds it's target before shrugging it off and moving to loot the chest.

Move action to the chest, looting it as a standard action.

Beansidhe grits her teeth watching the half-orc take shelter behind the chest. She takes aim again, pulling out one of her whistling arrows and fires.

Attack+Studied Target: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 1 = 19
Damage+Arcane+Studied Target: 1d8 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 8

The arrow whistles as it flies through the air striking at Shamanita.

If I'm keeping track correctly, I believe that's game. Good game!

As the arrow strikes true and Shamanita crumples to the ground the scene again fades to white.

So 2 victory points to Beansidhe, 1 victory point and some loot to Shamanita, 0 victory points to Tobias.

Good game you guys. You also get the achievement of Most Runes Explored. Not worth any additional points, just some extra swag. Everybody else sort of capitalized on your exploration.


Had Beansidhe's last attack been one lower I would have hit at least one more rune before the match was over.
