Qiroyo moves in to get a better view of the situation. He is now standing on the first chair and eyeing the helpless people. He shouts at them. "Who are you?"
Belmiir

We cannot tie the guy up until he get's the 'pinned ' condition..Belmir doesn't have any rope but he can attempt 'aid another' so you get a +2 to pin this guy next round Eka.
Belmir seeing what Nagagi is attempting, drops his bow, swings around to their enemies flank, and attempts to aid his ally in possibly subduing this foe. I don't got any rope Lass, but I can help ye get um' on the floor!
aid another CMB: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 + 2 = 20 Eka now has +2 on her next CMB (and CMDs) against her grappled opponent.
*note* I do not have improved unarmed strike...so aiding someone who is grappling is treated like grappling...the grappled person wouldn't get an AoO against me...but the Rat next to me likely would because, my action is treated, as an *unarmed attack*
GM Erich
|
Qiroyo questions the captives but is only met with a shout of "Prisoners! Help us!"
Eka and Belmiir succeed in grabbing the crazed man by the cloak and turn him around. He spits wickedly at the nagaji's face. "You'll pay for this snake!" Altorin's blast goes wide again and (despite Mange's fury) the final rat eludes its fate for a few more seconds.
Spinning around to protect its master, the rat bites hard with its filthy teeth into Eka's leg. Struggling to fell Eka with an errant club strike, the crazed man leans away from the grapple.

Sir Durant's merciful blow finishes off the combat cleanly as the man cannot maneuver while his arm is so tightly held by Eka. Mange finally gets his way and the final rat is silenced. The limp man is quickly tied up.
"That was rather tidy. Mind coming over to untie us?" Says one of the captives in the corner. Able to view them better now, one young man is dressed as an Imperial Navy guard, three look like wealthy female Cassomirites, and the last is the portly elder gentleman.

Sir Durant Aumarideth
|
Sir Durant sheathes his sword as the man falls. He nods to Eka as the nagaji begins tying up the unconscious foe, then moves around the corner to go assist the captives.
Kneeling down beside the group, Durant uses his dagger to cut their bonds and to begin questioning them, "There. Now you're free. Is anyone hurt? I'm Sir Durant of the Pathfinders and a knight of Taldor. My friends and I are here to help you all, as you can see. We were also sent here to find an ally of ours--a Pathfinder called Cestis--as well as another person named Kafar. Do you all know either of them?" He scans the faces of the group to see if he recognizes any of them as a fellow agent--perhaps Cestis himself is here!
Diplomacy (gather info): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
If there are any Taldan nobles in the group, I gain an additional +1 bonus on Diplomacy from my Knight of Taldor boon.

Belmir smacks his hands together and says, Well well...that was quite a kerfuffle! looking over to the prisoners Belmir first retrieves bow as he watches from the corner of his eye...Sir Durant untie the group. After Durant frees them and ask the group about Cestis and Kafar; Belmir remains silent and gauges each of their reactions to the names.

The victims are hog-tied with thick rope and then tied to each other by the neck. Sir Durant makes short work of that, though and the elder gentleman is first to answer.
“Many thanks, good sir. Yes indeed. Things have been rather bleak since we were captured at the auction, with me in mid-call, mind you. Didn't know if we'd all see the morrow."
He stands and casually brushes the sawdust from his suitpants. "Aye, your Pathfinder friend -I thought I saw a wayfinder on him- he was guarded by some half-orcs... big, burly brutes. We don’t usually see their kind ’round here. Not sure where they was from, but they sure smelled bad—like they was stomping through the sewers before they came here. Anyways, they said something about taking him somewhere called the Prancing Prince, never heard of the place myself, maybe its the name of a ship or something.”
The auctioneer pauses a bit as if to remember a detail. “Ah yes, I remember one of the cultists saying 'Once Ismacco arrives, we’ll make a lot of money for the cause by selling these slaves into the Chelaxian market.' So yes, quite likely a ship, if you ask me.”
One of the ladies speaks up. "And Kafar? You'll find him atop the bar over there. Don't know what condition he is in though. The nasty man you felled had it out for him, that's for sure."
Sir Durant Aumarideth
|
Durant looks over toward the scene of the man laying still on the bar and recognizes the need for immediate action. Not wanting to abandon the other survivors, though, he calls out to his companions. "Eka, Qiroyo, Cyclic! If one of you is free," he nods over toward the bar to signal what needs doing, and goes on somewhat less enthusiastically. "It's Kafar."
Cyclic
|
Abandoning Mange to his feast, Cyclic dismounts and joins Sir Durant. Peering over the edge of the bar as best she can, she says
heal: 1d20 ⇒ 13
"He looks bad. Is it just a beating or did he catch something nasty from the rats?"
GM Erich
|
The unconscious Kafar appears to have been beaten and from the look of bubbly spittle languishing around the corners of his mouth, poisoned as well.
Cyclic
|
Cyclic casts detect poison to verify.
Eka
|
Once the angry man is thoroughly tied, Eka retrieves her bardiche and stands guard over him in case he awakens and tries any foolishness. She feels kind of superfluous now, especially since she has no way of healing Kafar without sacrificing her only curing potion. That'ss never going to happen.
Qiroyo Darudo

"kafar might need a doctor. We are in a city after all."
GM Erich

wisdom check: 1d20 ⇒ 12
The unfortunate Aspis agent has been poisoned.
The navy officer speaks up. "If you do want to find your pathfinder friend you best get to the docks, last ship sails at sunset..."
Eka
|
Noticing the navy officer, Eka speaks up. "You are an offisser? Onsse (Once) we leave, if we do not take thiss one with uss..." Here she nudges the bound unconscious form at her feet. "Can we leave him with you to turn him in to the authoritiess?"
Not wanting to leave her entire 50' rope behind, she then lays out the extra so she can chop it off with her bardiche. They probably used about 5' to bind him, so she has 45' left.
Belmiir

Belmir walks over to Kafar and uses two charges of his wand of cure lt to revive the Aspis agent. Belmir listens closely as the groggy Kafar explains that he was just there to purchase rare and exotic items same as the Pathfinders. sense motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16...After listening to the details of Kafar's story Belmir confers with his comrades.

Qiroyo Darudo

"we healed him, so we question him. No need to waste."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Qiroyo steps up to Kafar and also brings a chair. "Listen. Our two groups are not always eye to eye." He steps on the chair to be on level with the man. "but look, now we are. Help us and tell us what you know. We are looking for a missing Pathfinder."
GM Erich
|
Kafar is not too helpful. "I know nothing of any Pathfinders. There may have been one at the auction. But he is not here now. And if you think I know anything about this crazy fool you knocked out, I am in the dark as much as you."
Eka
|
Grunting with a "go figure" type shrug, Eka suggests as she nudges the unconscious man at her feet: "We could try to wake thiss one, but quesstioning him well will take a while. We cannot wasste time if we want to reach the ship before ssunsset. We musst desside (decide) now and be quick about it."
Cyclic
|
"My guess is that whatever these folks were doing in the sewers pissed this sewer dweller off. So, what is it you were doing down there, Kafar?"
GM Erich
|
Kafar shakes his head. "Unlike your prestigious organization, I've never traipsed around in the sewers, neither here nor elsewhere. I am a trading specialist with the Consortium, and unfamiliar with such mucking about."
He really does seem to be telling the truth about just attending the Auction.
Cyclic
|
Cyclic shrugs when her gambit to get more info out of Kafar fails.
"Eka, I do believe finding that ship is our immediate concern. Mange, are you done with that thing yet?"
I opt for heading towards the ships.
GM Erich
|
The naval officer moves over to the cultist. "Fear not, I will make sure this man pays for his crimes against us. Should you need to interview him in the future, find me at the main barracks."
Eka
|
Eka nods appreciatively at the naval officer. "Many thankss. Let uss go."
If no one objects, she heads out the busted door and begins striding toward the docks.
Belmiir
|
Belmir taps a little tobacco inside his pipe and says to the former prisoners, Well it’s been, an ‘enlightening’ evening Belmir strikes a tindertwig and takes a couple puffs off his pipe. should you need rescuing again, please don’t hesitate to call on the Pathfinders...it is after all ... Belmir looks directly at Kafar, A small world. Belmir shrugs his shoulders letting the back-handed insult seep into the Aspis agent’s consciences. He then joins his friends and departs for the docks.

With the first situation in hand, the group sets off. The sun has set, and streaks of red and orange lace the clouds as your group carefully approaches the Prancing Prince.
New Map. Also a couple of you have some minor wounds you may want to take care of.
A tri-masted galleon, the Prancing Prince appears to be in good condition and floats lazily against its mooring along a wide, crate- and barrel-filled dock. No one appears to be aboard her, however, and the standard watch typically found at the gangplank of a docked ship is nowhere to be seen. Atop her bowsprit is a gaudily painted wooden man that appears to be the exact likeness of the Grand Prince of Taldor, Stavian III, hands on his hips, a huge smile across his face, and his legs bent as though he were dancing a jig.

Seeing the Prancing Prince, and particularly its bowsprit, Sir Durant frowns. "I get the feeling the Grand Prince would not approve of this ship. Still, here we are, and yet no one else appears to be around. Perhaps we should check the ship."
The knight follows after Cyclic and Mange as they mount the gangplank and give it a good bounce. Figuring that, if nothing else already had, that would have given away their presence, Durant calls out to anyone still on board the Prince/. "Hello! Is anyone on board? We'd like to come on deck to speak with your captain."
GM Erich
|
The knight is met with silence, save for the gentle lapping of the water against the shipboards.
Moving forward slightly, it is evident that the deck was recently scrubbed clean and still shows remnants of soap bubbles and puddles of water. It is otherwise deserted and completely dark.
Cyclic
|
Cyclic guides Mange to the deck and they wander about looking for scents.
Altorin
|
"It appears the crew of this ship is nocturnal or non-existent..." observes Altorin, thinking aloud. "Can someone cast a light spell below deck so we can take a quick scan from up here?"
Sir Durant Aumarideth
|
Sir Durant follows Cyclic up the gangplank and heads over to a door which he presumes to be the captain's quarters. With one hand at his sword, he stands to the side of the door and knocks. "Hello in there? Is anyone aboard?"
GM Erich
|
Mange cannot get a firm handle on any particular scents, although the recent cleaning and sea air may have something to do with that.
Again, the knight's knocks go unanswered. A quick check of the fore cabin (Room A) reveals not the Captain's Quarters, but a Supply Storage.
There are two more doors B (aft cabin) and C (probably stairs to lower decks)
