Esmaralda slightly change the upcoming verse of her song to reply to Cam, singing, "♪♫ Understood. You're no moustache-waxers, so you should be fine anyhow!!! ♪♪"

Good catch on sleep casting time. I'm not sure I've ever noticed that until now. It's now a poo-poo spell! :)

Henric moves around the room to get a better angle, where he lets loose another stream of fire.

Energy Ray attack vs. Yellow TAC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Fire Damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 5) + 2 = 12

Round 3

These Roadkeepers couldn't keep a s%+#house with such weak blows.

"That type gets in a fight with a woman in full armor instead of moustache-waxers with overstuffed purses,, they've already lost." Camellia keeps her focus on Mother Nightthrush, slashing across her midsection again. The old woman stays standing, however.

Rodrigo lies on the ground, unconscious.

Henric moves around the room to get a better angle, where he lets loose another stream of fire that goes wildly off-course.

Kiley brings her greatsword around to the next bandit.

Attack vs Yellow, Bless, Inspire: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 9 + 1 + 1 = 29
Damage: 2d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 3) + 6 + 1 = 12

A third bandit falls to the ground from her blade.

Mother Nightthrush again tries to cast her spell.

GM Rolls:

Defensive Cast, DC 17: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
2d4 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4
1d4 ⇒ 4

This time, she succeeds, and a cacophony of colors burst forth from her hands, washing over Cam, Kiley, Esmaralda, and Henric. DC 16 Will saves from each of you, or you are unconscious, stunned, and blinded for 4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 4 rounds, then stunned for 1 more round. Don't forget Shake it Off - Rodrigo does not count for the benefit since he is unconscious.

Kiley Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Kiley falls to the ground, unconscious. Kiley counts for this save, but not subsequent saves.

Spellcraft DC 16:

The spell is color spray, but she appears to have some kind of ability that makes the effects more potent, allowing her to affect creatures more powerfully than normal.

Round 4

Stryn tries to take out the Roadkeeper again.

Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Stryn stabs him, and drops him to the ground.

Cam herself avoids the blast of colorful energy, quickly looking away from the blast and steeling herself. When she turns her attention back to Mama Nightthrush, a resolved expression has come down upon her face, though it is hidden by her helm.

Tellanya steps back to strike with her spear, and attacks mother Nightthrush, giving Stryn the opportunity to move in to attack. The longspear hits, and this final blow is too much for the old woman, and she falls to the ground.

Cam's arm continues onwards to slash down on the downed crone, but not of her own accord. "Enough, Ira." She swivels around and the slash embeds in the ground instead. Tch. Fine.

Cam sheathes her sword. "Well that sure was something. Guess we need a few minutes to get people up again." Unable to contribute much to that matter, she begins sorting through the items.

I'd suggest we give everyone a potion of CLW and hold onto the tanglefoot bags and acid flasks. The MW cold iron dagger might be nice for DR for someone

Tellanya nods, "yes. Let us try to stabilize these poor fellows." She snaps her fingers, and one-by-one, starting with Rodrigo and ending with Nightthrush, casts a cantrip on the fallen foes. She smiles, kindly, "few are the people whose futures may not be redeemed." She cocks her head, and nods. "Your armor is quite interesting miss Camellia." She giggles quietly, her eyes shining as she looks at Ira.

As she speaks, the spirit of camraderie fades a bit, and the apparations disappear. After this, Tellanya stands quietly nearby, listening, and then begins to search the individual stones on the floor, poking them with her longspear.

No more shake it off.

Unfortunately, the only Roadkeeper who isn't dead is the one that wasn't struck down by Kiley (Red). Luckily Rodrigo was already stable. By the time Tellanya gets to Mother Nightthrush, she has expired, and Tellanya is unable to stabilize her. She only had 9 Con, and Cam took her to -4.

Henric and Kiley seem to regain consciousness, but they are still out of it and blind. 3 rounds of blindness and 4 rounds of stun left.

Tellanya frowns sadly, "it is too bad, but she already died." She shakes her head, her braids shifting lightly. "Well, when the others wake up, let us move down the stairs. Who is hurt?"

While that's a good plan, I would like to point out that sleep has a 1 round casting time, which means it goes off at the beginning of the turn after you start casting it. So, while you could start casting it in the surprise round, it won't complete until Round 1, at which point they might not be in position anymore, depending on their initiatives. Round 1

Cam advances into the room, slashing at the westernmost Roadkeeper. "Y'all are better off standing down, ya know." She deals a powerful blow to him.

Henric steps into the room after Camellia, feeling (over) confident from her bravado. "Or don't," he adds, before unleashing a fan of flames from his staff.

Tellanya steps up, adjacent to Henric and Camilla, and says, "contrary to this companion I am adjacent to, we have already allowed your surrender if you had wished to give it." She nods solemnly, but is sincere.

Replied in Discord. Summary: please rule result of Charm Hex as you see fit. If you need an accompanying Diplomacy roll to 'Make a Request' against the newly changed Diplomacy attitude of the target (must be at least indifferent to make a request), here it is: "Do not attack us! we have information! please lower your sword for a moment and listen!" Diplomacy, Make a Request; Buffs: 1d20 + 13 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 13 + 4 = 22 --> if the target, post Charm Hex, is still Hostile or Unfriendly, Esmaralda cannot 'Make a Request' (in RP, basically the request falls upon deaf ears! :) )

Round 2

Esmaralda moves behind Tellanya, suddenly appearing at the top of the stairs, as if making a grand entrance, and tries to hex the nearest one threatening Kiley, so that he momentarily lowers his sword... winking provocatively at the man, she maintains her song, but includes him in the lyrics,

GM ROlls:

The Road Keeper looks at Esmaralda with less hostility, but he doesn't hold in his attack.

GM Rolls:

Yellow vs Cam: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Pink vs Kiley: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

The two Road Keepers strike - one at Kiley, and one stepping up to strike Cam. Neither hits - perhaps the one was swayed by Esmaralda's song after all, or Kiley was just more competent than he was.
