Shi'Vatha: Knowledge (Religion):

The Immortal Lamashtu is the mother and patroness of many misshapen and malformed creatures that crawl, slither, or flap on, above, or below the surface of Callidastara. Her unholy symbol is a three-eyed jackal head, which may be represented in many ways, and her sacred animal is the jackal.

In Nimmurian mythology, the Immortal Lamashtu was a female demon, monster, malevolent goddess or demigoddess who menaced women during childbirth and, if possible, kidnapped their children while they were breastfeeding. She would gnaw on their bones and suck their blood, as well as being charged with a number of other evil deeds. She was a daughter of the Sky God Anu.

Lamashtu is depicted as a mythological hybrid, with a hairy body, a lioness' head with donkey's teeth and ears, long fingers and fingernails, and the feet of a bird with sharp talons. She is often shown standing or kneeling on a donkey, nursing a pig and a dog, and holding snakes. She thus bears some functions and resemblance to the Nimmurian demon Lilith. Other pictures of Lamashtu portray her as a jackal-headed woman, with a third vertical eye in the center of her forehead, heavily pregnant, with feathered wings (like a raven's), a snake's tail, and taloned feet like a vulture's). She is often depicted carrying her two deadly blades, Redlust and Chillheart: the former is of fire, the latter of ice. The blades may grow and shrink from the size of a falchion to that of a kukri. Her head may vary depending on the nature of her worshipers: gnolls preferring the jackal head, medusas a snake's, harpies a hawk's, and so on. She is often depicted surrounded by countless adherents, with a single individual rising above the rest.

Lamashtu's father was the Sky God Anu. Unlike many other usual demonic figures and depictions in Nimmurian lore, Lamashtu was said to act in malevolence of her own accord, rather than at the Immortals' instructions. Along with this, her name was written together with the cuneiform determinative indicating divinity. This means she was a goddess or a demigoddess in her own right.

Lamashtu was once a mighty demon lord who became the first such entity to achieve true godhood. In ages past, she was allied with Pazuzu, though the exact nature of their alliance is often disputed by scholars of demon lore. Some say they were lovers, others say siblings, or simply convenient allies. What is known for certain is that she lured the Immortal Curchanus into her territory and beset him with swarms of demons and other monsters until he was weak enough for her to attack. By defeating him, she ripped his Immortal domain over beasts from him, beginning an ancient vendetta with Curchanus' protégé, Desna. This imbued the demoness with a small amount of his divine power.

Pazuzu was enraged by this shift in power, and as Lamashtu returned from that battle he betrayed and attacked her. He wounded her terribly, but her new-found divinity allowed her to survive; they have been dire enemies ever since. Lamashtu's vendetta against him is only equaled by Desna's own vendetta against her.

Pazuzu, a god or demon, was invoked to protect birthing mothers and infants against Lamashtu's malevolence, usually on amulets and statues. Although Pazuzu was said to be bringer of famine and drought, he was also invoked against evil for protection, and against plague, but he was primarily and popularly invoked against his fierce, malicious rival Lamashtu

Lamashtu learned the "art" of creating demons from the torture of a Horseman of the Apocalypse, whom she had taken during her wars against Abaddon. Once she coupled that knowledge with the use of her own body to gestate the demons, she birthed the vavakia, a true masterpiece of the art of creating demons.[6]

It is claimed by many monstrous humanoid races that she was their first progenitor and creator.

She bore seven names and was described as seven witches in incantations. Her evil deeds included, but were not limited to: slaying children, unborns, and neonates; causing harm to mothers and expectant mothers; eating men and drinking their blood; disturbing sleep; bringing nightmares; killing foliage; infesting rivers and lakes; and being a bringer of disease, sickness, and death. Lamashtu's favor manifests as violent dreams, the appearance of sudden deformities, or unexplained pregnancies that often result in the painful (and sometimes fatal) birth of a deformed child. Worshipers who displease her may give birth to a "perfect" child, such as a human or halfling, nightmares, or welts. They may also find themselves infertile or unable to achieve sexual satisfaction.

Lamashtu, in a stance befitting her demonic origins, considers all other Immortals her enemies. She is aware of Desna's hatred of her due to the murder of Curchanus, but treats her as beneath notice. Despite this widespread animosity, she focuses her attentions on growing her cults and expanding their reach, as well as the birthing of new and hideous monstrosities. She has an odd view of Shelyn, whom Lamashtu would love to capture and twist into her own monstrous vision of beauty. Needless to say, the faithful of Shelyn find this an abhorrent and terrifying concept.

Aroden and his clergy viewed Lamashtu as a dire symbol of the wilderness and dangers lying beyond the boundaries of civilization.

Urgathoa and Rovagug are, with Pazuzu, her greatest enemies. The Lamashtan–Pazuzu war is old and bitter: Lamashtu is the more powerful, Pazuzu the more focused on the campaign. The war is often fought by minions of the two demon lords but can escalate, causing much collateral damage, but neither side has gained a significant advantage yet over the other. In a small way, this battle between Lamashtu and Pazuzu has been played out by the respective cults of the two powers in the Lost Coast region of Norwold. Yet, there are also rare sources of demonology that claim a tryst between Lamashtu and Pazuzu occurred in this region during the Age of Creation giving birth to numerous spawn; this history is strongly rebuffed by their worshipers.

Lamashtu is not actively at war with other demon lords, and does not seek to conquer the Abyss. She does have rivalries with some of them, and is said to have others as her lovers. The latter group includes Baphomet, and Socothbenoth, who claims to have sired children with her. Nocticula makes her opposition to Lamashtu clear and, in return, Lamashtu is well aware of Nocticula's murderous ascent to power.

She is allied with the Goblin Hero-Gods of Basalfeyst.

Lamashtu once had a tryst with the archdevil Typhon. This may have led to Typhon's destruction, as it displeased Asmodeus.

Lamashtu's church is scattered and lacks an overall hierarchy, yet it is rare for two priest's to come into direct conflict, as they recognize each other's shared devotion and the hostility visited by those outside the religion. Many demoniacs pay obeisances to Lamashtu as she is a demon lord as well as a goddess. Her followers can most frequently be found in the The Broken Lands and Oenkmar/Aengmor, The Sea of Dread and the Thanegioth Archipelago, the Shadowdeep, the Shadow Elves' Territories, the Black Mountains, Graakhalia, Hule, the Plain of Fire and the Sind Desert, the Serpent Desert, Sind, Nimmur, and others.

Lamashtu is also worshiped on the continent of Tian Xia were she is known as Grandmother Nightmare. Although her devotees can be found in most major cities there, she is most commonly (and openly) venerated in the wilder parts of the Darklands, Goka, Nagajor, Shaguang, the Valashmai Jungle, the Wall of Heaven mountains, and Wanshou.

Caster is not intimidated.

"So long as she doesn't die outright, I can keep her stabilized." Shi says, obviously not as concerned about her death than the loss of information.

It keeps physical contact with the sorceress, it's mere touch battling with her body's weakened state. Using stabilizing touch to auto-stabilize her if her HP drops below 0. Should make it easier to counteract the poison

Cyanide in the pf rules drains Constitution, so I guess she loses some health, but not to a fatal degree.

Didn't realize she was using a con based drain. If she hits 0 con, she dies. If she doesn't, she doesn't. Shi's ability will keep her alive if her con drops enough that the damage she's taken already turns fatal (as long as it doesn't go -con). But if she just lost enough to begin bleeding out, he stabilizes her. It gets complicated. Example : Assuming she had 10 con, and 20 HP, had taken 10 pts of damage, then loses 12 pts to con drain (like, 3 levels and then lost 8 pts of con, from 10 to 2). She'd be unconscious (-2 HP) but stable and in no danger of dying. If she lost 10 pts of con instead, she'd be at -5 hp, but dead, because her CON hit 0.

Effect 1d4 Con damage, target must succeed at a second Fortitude save or 1 point of the Con damage is instead drain. Cyanide’s unique metal-extracting properties make it effective against elementals with the earth subtype, despite their natural immunity to other poisons.
Cure 2 saves
Description
This potent toxin is used by both drow and duergar to extract gold from ore and to eliminate political enemies. Cyanide poisoning usually manifests as bright red flushing of the skin, even more noticeable in pallid creatures like derros and duergar.

She still has some Constitution left.

Cyanide needs 2 saves to counteract, so this is 1. I'm looking at the description of Heal -- is it also supposed to provide you with info about the toxin?

Unsure what's up with every one else, but I have had a crazy last week+ due to birthday celebrations.

I don't think I get info about the poison, but I can use heal to treat her poison, giving her a bonus on her next save, if I beat the poison's DC.

Okay, make then next roll then.

As this is important, I will take 10, using linguistics via Golden Parlance for heal. That's a 24 total, which I believe beats the DC of cyanide. She'll gain a +4 bonus on her next save.

"Wait, you can't just..!"

The unidentified female scientist pleads plaintively as Ynja quickly evacuates the premises.

"As you see, you will not be escaping us that easily. Now, please. Answer the questions. I am sure the goodly Pai Song would hate to resort to drastic measures... but others among us won't mind in the least. Henric is grimly pleased to see the poisoned capsule failed, and that the sorceress will stand (or sit) for judgement for the attack she appears to have overseen, if not orchestrated.

The sorceress glares at Henric with a pair of large beady eyes. Her two, fixed gazes are center on a pair of void-like pupils somewhat too large, and the surrounding whites somehow to intense in their pignmentless coloration.

Then she replies curtly,

"I spit on your grave sunflower!

And proceeds to cover the toes of Henric's boot with a thick wad of pungent, slightly acidic spittle, the caustic wallop still bubbling caustically from the recent admixture of cyanide.

Henric looks down at his feet, eyeing the spittle, then kicking his foot out to shake it off. He looks back up, turning his head side to side ot look around. "If this is where I am to be buried, it's not a bad place for it. But we were discussing you. Now. What is going on here?"

The sorceress continues staring fixedly at Henric, her white hot rage searing palpably within the opaque depths of her two unblinking eyes.

After a momentous pause, she begins to speak in a strangely altered tone, low and almost musical in cadence,

"The shadow of wrath has covered this place. The Shadow of Wrath will cover you."

Outside the lab:

She had shifted, jumping in space away from the mad woman calling after her. Three four five jumps until she was outside in the cold air. All she had on was the mortuary clothing. Where in the hells was she. Not far from where her last body had perished. She could guess that much, She needed to find her barings. She kept moving hoping find some way to know where she was.

She stopped, sitting, now out of current danger, he mind went back to what she had seen. Remembering again. with each death she know, she saw. This time she did not push it away, this time she had seen something her perpetuel soul had not seen before. Something metallic, finned, hovering not over this world but another. Broken dead world. What had that meant, why has the cosmos shown her that. Her mind was trying to hold onto the vision.

She got up and started to look for something too ware other than the rag she had on.

So she is using nomad step to get away from the mad Scientist in the lab.

Outside the Lab:

Ynja finds herself at the egress point of an underground complex. The round tunnel leading from the lap eventuates in a set of solid metal doors set into a low hillside. On the hill above, a small, eastern-style castle looms overhead, its several layers of highly-decorated roofs stretching ominously into the slightly-clouded sky.

She was shocked to see where she had come from. Whatever this place was it was made to last. The Castle looming overhead seemed out of place. She moved fast heading away. She needed to get back to the sight of the battle. This Body was still getting use to being back from the dead and becoming a Elan host. It had no power reserves yet to dive her non inherent metaphysical psionic patterns. So the simple clothing and her wits was all she add, other than shifting and...

She held out a hand.

All at once, the sorceress seems to break down, her resolve, until recently apparently implacable, crumbling instantaneously, as if it had never been,

"Mercy, good masters! What would you know of my mistress?"

Ynja's well-honed wilderness skills will hardly be necessary in this circumstance. indeed, the castle sits on a bluff overlooking the rest of the town, and the winding way back down to the Shrine of Desna is easily visible from her current vantage point.

The slightly elfin lady fixes her chin pointedly and sets her jagged jaw as she replies forcefully,

"She is Fate's Harbinger of the Time of Judgment. None will deny her, and all will be recompensed, each according to their kind. The one who was rejected shall now cast out!"

The slim sorceress cackles slightly, her eerie eyes widening slightly in a maniacal expression.

Upon attaining the lintel of her guestroom's small decorative lintel, Ynja's nostrils enticed by the pungent aromas borne by a plethora of exotic blooms which crowd the ornate flower box dangled precipitously from its second story summit, the warrior maiden notices that something is not right.

The slightly acrid smell of smoke fills the air, and the sky to the south is stained with an inky-like blot of smoke, as if the clouds of the mid afternoon heavens had themselves been tarnished by some recent holocaust of a large proportion.

She took note of the inky-like blot of smoke. But she needed clothing. Dropping into her room. She went over to her simple luggage. All that was in it was a simple Kimono she had got the day before. Putting it on quickly she put on the simple slippers she had for to wear with the outfit. She checked the side pocket of her carry bag. 14 Silvers and 3 coppers. Putting them into her sash belt. She went to the window, opening it, she 'shifted' to street below. Still looking at the cloud, she went to where the ship and been.

She now looks like this, with the same clothing
