The door to the well-appointed conference room opens, and Chiskisk, a member of the Starfinder Society’s Forum, enters, their antennae bobbing rhythmically as they move to take a seat at the head of the table.

“Welcome, colleagues. As you know, the Starfinder Society has been quite efficacious of late. The acts of brave agents like yourselves has made the Society once-again respected and known throughout Near Space and even in some areas of the Vast. We have been quick to capitalize on these new opportunities. Recently, the Society has reached out to nearly a dozen new civilizations with which we have mutual interests. At this moment, the Lorespire Complex is brimming with ambassadors, dignitaries, and probably also spies from many worlds. “I had the honor to conclude preliminary negotiations with one such ambassador. They are about to sign an exclusive exploration and trade treaty with the Starfinder Society, largely based on our recent exploits. However…” the shirren pauses awkwardly, then moves to an expansive window that overlooks the Lorespire campus. “The delegate has requested a recess in negotiations to explore Absalom Station before signing the agreement. Of course, I granted
them freedom of the station, as long as they accepted an escort of local Starfinder agents to see to their every need.” The shirren turns back to face the conference table. “That
‘escort,’ of course, would be you!” Chiskisk slides a data disk across the table. “Here is the dossier on the visiting dignitary you’ll be escorting. Find out what they’re interested in seeing, and take them there. Be gracious hosts, entertaining tour guides, bodyguards, or social planners, as the dignitary requires. It should go without saying that this emissary’s safety and security are paramount, as is their continued goodwill toward the Society. If you do a good job, we might just secure the opportunity to explore a new wolrd. Any questions?”

A very well dressed half-orc sits in a chair with his shoes on the table . From neck to ankle he is dressed in a somewhat shiny, pin-striped suit, featuring solid black with radiant purple as the stripes. The black of the suit seems to sap light around while he goes, giving him a bit of an aura of darkness. He has fancy, black shoes and slick backed, black hair on his head and face and stylish shaded glasses tucked into the front pocket of his suit. He looks a businessman by all accounts. All except the three large, shiny metal cases he has propped in the corner behind him.

"My, my, my.." the half-orc semi-swoons with a smile, his voice smooth and charming, "You have chosen your team well Chiskisk. What can you tell me about this dignitary that isn't on this dossier?"

"What an absolute honor that you would think to include me to help conduct this little tour" , Dr. Morvius exclaims, absolutely exuding enthusiasm. He continues, "Absalom station has been my home for most of my life, so I hope I can show our visitor how proud I am of this place. Of course my medical skills could come in handy, though I certainly hope they won't be needed. Now, may I take a look at that dossier?"

Morvius takes a gander at the dossier, and considers whether he might know anything about this visitor.
Perhaps a culture check is appropriate?

Dr. Morvius appears to be a human with impeccably coiffed hair, rugged (yet stylish) clothing, and a clean white lab coat. A backpack with a medkit, an old suit of freebooter armor, and a holstered arc pistol sit nearby.

Slender and small, even for a Halfling, the lithe young lass has long thick black hair, in a braid that coils around her neck.
Dark skin, full lips, black eyes, she smiles to all present, and seems quite sympathetic.
Dressed in a form-fitting chocolate-colored lightly-armored body-stocking, with a sweatband on her right wrist, she has a an engineering kit on her belt, alongside a survival knife, a Zip-Tie, a couple batteries, and a pair of smoke grenades.
Over her left shoulder is a coil of titanium cable, while a ballerina-bag is on her left shoulder, a pair of pointe shoes attached to it.
A short black cloak is wrapped around her neck, dangling down in front. Light scatters against it.
It is held in place by a Starfinder insignia.
Smiling, she points to a serum of healing, and a medpatch, attached to her chest:
”In case of emergency! Though I imagine we might be more in need of anti-toxins to deal with hangovers.”
She looks over the dossier--
is it a paper one, or digital, to be copied to our Comm Units?
--"Oops, sorry, I am Pangea."
She keeps a wary eye on the Half-Orc.

A rather lanky human walks in a bit late, he is tinkering with something while he walks wanders to a chair and sits down. He suddenly realizes he isn't he only one in the room and tucks the object into a pocket.

"Um.. sorry I'm late," he murmurs.

He glances quickly at the dossier that is displayed and grimaces slightly mumbling under his breath, "great join the Society and become a baby-sitter."

He is wearing freebooter armor, but it lacks any noticeable damage and is well polished. His black hair is closely cropped and a datajack is visible just behind and below his right ear.

"Chiskisk, was there any specific place this individual wished to go? Anywhere you would prefer we didn't go?"

DungeonMaster

He looks at you all with a smile. I'm glad to have you then. For those of you not enthused about the mission, well, the mission is what you make it.
He then proceeds to answer you questions. I’ve summarized my notes from the negotiations in the dossier. It contains basic data—name, species, home world—as well as my notes on their personality and preferences. You’ll have a chance to meet withthem to plan your tour of the station. And I don't know if he wanted to go to a very specific place, but where he came from could pose problems. This visitor is coming from a place that hasn’t had a lot of contact with the Pact Worlds. A single misunderstanding out in the wider station could result in animosity toward us, resulting in the end of these negotiations. Consider yourselves both ambassadors and chaperones for someone who isn’t accustomed to the station. And you can all visit the person shorty after this meeting. Just don't go into restricted areas or in areas with invitations, you'll know what areas are restricted, cause guards will not let you in and explain. It is not like you can accidentally land somewhere where you ain't suppose to be. Any more questions? Or something else you'd like to do here, purchases, final boon slotting, etc.

Dr. Creed, I don't see it anywhere in the module where your character automatically know things about the visitor. However, if I do see it somewhere, I'll keep that culture check in mind. It is somewhere however, that you can determine what the visitor is like with a culture check or some other check and I can apply it there. Think of it this way, you are knowledgeable about a dozen different tribes, but not knowledge about a specific person, nor do you know which tribe the person is in. Upon meeting that person you can tell what tribe he/she belongs too by the way he/she is dressed, body build structure, behaviorisms and other clues. You would then have general knowledge about the person based upon which tribe he/she is in. Edit: The culture check does allow you to know the individual too, but it is mentioned at the end of the module. The person you encounter varies, as that makes the game repeatable. Still, you, don't know until you meet this person, so your culture check will definitely reveal something.

The dignitary will likely tell you everything, I promise, he is looking forward to meeting you all.

You then meet the dignitary. His name is GLAHR TRADOK

Dr. Creed knows the following about him:

knowledge feel free to share, or not:

10+: Nuar look like smaller versions of lost Golarion’s legendary
minotaurs, although the Nuar claim they are a distinct species.
15+: The Nuar of Absalom Station are a wise and peaceful
people, despite how their appearance may suggest otherwise. No
other settlements of Nuar are known beyond Absalom Station.
20+: Nuar are enamored with technology and invention, yet
also have a strong appreciation for the cultural traditions of others.

You all know the following about him by reading his profile, or cause he tells you his backstory a little. He introduces himself
My name is GLAHR TRADOK. And I say, let's get this party started.
Species: Nuar, similar to but distinct from the legendary race of minotaurs of lost Golarion.
Formal Title: Representative Tradok.
Pronouns: He/him Representative Tradok is here on behalf of the colony of New Labyrinthia, the first major settlement of nuar discovered by the Pact
Worlds beyond Absalom Station. New Labyrinthia is located in a complex maze tunneled beneath the surface of an unnamed (by
the Pact Worlds) asteroid in an asteroid belt in Near Space. New Labyrinthia has been home to several hundred nuar since before
the Gap, and this meeting represents first contact.
Representative Tradok is something of an enigma compared to the Nuar on Absalom Station, curt almost to the point of rudeness
and displaying little of the patience of her kin on Absalom Station. Supremely confident in the value her people bring to any treaty
relationship, she is unlikely to respond well to threats or heavy-handed negotiations.

Dignitary Comfort: Hedonism. The dignitary sees their time on Absalom Station as a way to let loose, and enjoys fun locations, fast vehicle rides, and thrilling experiences of all kinds.
Dignitary Taboo: Insults. The dignitary is offended by rude or insulting behavior. Actions that break this taboo include insulting the dignitary (even in jest), being dismissive of the dignitary’s needs, or allowing an insult to go unchallenged
and unavenged.
Locations of Interest:
1. The dignitary is a connoisseur of food, and wishes to sample the cuisine of Absalom Station.
2. The dignitary wishes to sample the legendary nightlife of Absalom Station.
3. The dignitary is a starship aficionado, and wishes to explore the Armada and Absalom Station from the outside.
4. The dignitary has heard of the Hamisford Theatorium’s interest in new cultures, and wishes to demonstrate some art from their homeland for the owner of the Theatorium.

He is indifferent to all of you. You can each make a diplomacy, bluff or intimidate check dc 14 to increase his liking to you when you first meet him. This is an individual thing, not a group thing. He could like Dr. Creed really well and take a huge disliking to Zaknar or vice-versa. You do not have to do this check, cause failure will cause him to dislike you, and failure by -8 will cause him to dislike you twice. Most things however will affect the entire group. Most likely if Zaknar has a +4 liking from him, then Dr. Creed has +5 or +3 from him. Scores will be posted as each interest of location is completed. Also, pick a location of interest, these can be done in any order.

Representative Tradok, my name is Dr. Creed Morvius, and on the behalf of my fellow Starfinders, we are pleased to be at your service here on Absalom Station. Please know that we'd like to assist you by finding entertainment, nourishment, and perhaps a bit of adventure while here on the station. Your security is also of the utmost importance to the Starfinder Society, so I, and my friends, will always have that in mind. Turning to his fellow Starfinders, Dr. Morvius says, Perhaps Representative Tradok would enjoy starting off his tour with some fine victuals. Shall we find something to eat?

I believe I'll try that diplomacy roll.

Back at the briefing.

Zaknar turns to and gives Takeshi a warm smile. He walk over and pats him on the shoulder, "Don't go into a conversation telling people what you can't do. Tel them what you can do. Your good with tech stuff right? How 'bout this? I'm not from Absalom, nor have I spent very much time here. In fact, this is only my second mission. What you can do, or what you know, or what you can find out better than I, is where we will go and how we will get there." Zaknar's smile turns into a fantastic toothy smile, "Don't worry about being charming or that stuff. I got that. If you simply do your part, you'll make us look far better than we ever could without you. Just give me information that I ask for. Information is your game. Trust me," he ends holding that same toothy smile for several moments.

"Oh that reminds me!" Zaknar claims as he points his index finger to the ceiling. He straightens his suit. It shimmers in that moment, looking like armor before resuming it's appearance. He bends down, lifts the cases onto the table, and begins unlatching and opening them. "I suppose now is as good a time as any.."

Inside the cases are an assortment of weapons. Four pistols surrounding a heavy cannon of sorts are in one case. Three rifles are in another. While a small pick looking tool is in the third. On all of them are a big, clear logo of a red and black Z circumscribed by a black circle with a mesh of purple as a background.

"These weapons you may have seen before my compatriots! But, each of these companies partnered with Zeizerer to make them better! In a very simple way! Imagine," he says as he pulls out a Decoupler (pistol), "you are in a firefight. You are shooting at your enemies, your enemies are shooting back when! Your weapon runs out of ammo! That, is bad news! You had better hope that their weapon has also run out of ammo! Now! What if you are in that same firefight and the enemy's weapon runs out of ammo first? Isn't that better? That, is what Zeizerer offers you!" he replaces the pistol into the open case. "For this entire mission, all of these are at your disposal. Zeizerer! We give you more juice, so that you can make your enemies spill theirs!"

Zaknar sets down the two silver cases he carries, while leaving the third on his back as Dr. Creed speaks. Once Creed is done speaking, Zaknar gives the representative a formal bow. " Representative Glahr Tradok, it is my pleasure to have the honor to guide you around Absalom Station." He then rights himself and gives Glahr a wry smile, "Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's go find some good food so that we can get to the nightlife festivities!" Zaknar half turns and gestures to Takeshi, "This is my very intelligent friend Takeshi. He has an uncanny knack for knowing the best places. Takeshi, where are we headed?"

Perhaps we could try some sweet talk, liberally dropping in references to the Starfinder Society and our intergalactic guest. If it comes right down to it, I'm not opposed to trying a bribe, but I'd rather use the good graces of the Society as a way in. . . .as a last resort, I suppose we could shoot our way in with all of those guns that Zaknar brought!" A smile and a gleam in his eye indicate Dr. Morvius isn't really serious about bringing all of our firepower to bear on the two vesks.

Oh, you are food critics. Usually, you all give us a day warning. Sorry we didn't know who you were. You all get free meals too, enjoy. Well, first 50 credits per person is free anyhow. And they lead in to a private table in A3 A3 isn't on the map, but it says you can land a private table there. It is actually pretty hard to get into A3, most people land a spot in A2, really high rolls or spending credits gets you into A3.

They seat you to your table. The waiter, a late 20s olive colored male, comes to the table. He scans you all at the chest with what looks like a laser pointer. This just lets me know your taste likes if you can't decide what to order as well as other things. I'll come back in a few minutes

"You see, Representative Tradok, you are more than welcome here, but your money is not welcome!"

Pangea orders a thick cushion, to be able to see her plate when seated.

Takeshi follows the group to the table. He does his best to not look out of place. He hasn't been to a place like this since he left the family shipping business, and he always had his siblings to help keep his etiquette on track. He considers his order and is grateful when Morvious begins the meal, although he is a bit confused. The cheese course usually comes at the end of the meal.

Well, it'll be a change anyway. He sits back and thinks of the possibilities for this dinner.

And... I just gave the GM an RP hook... oh boy!

DungeonMaster

The waiter serves you, of course you all start off with appetizers and drinks, especially small blocks of cheese. Proceeded by the main course. You chat, eat and enjoy. Tradok even saves room for dessert. Peanutbutter pie, and he's never had peanutbutter before, but the waiter suggests it, that he might like it, and you all order whatever dessert you like, while not getting too drunk on the wine. He then begins have some shortness of breath among other odd symtoms

medicine 14:
He is having an allergic reaction, but he himself does not know he is allergic to peanuts, he has never had it. The scanning also did scan for allergies, but only if you've ever been exposed to the foods at least once in your lifetime does the scan pick it up.

Dr. Morvius rummages through his medkit and treats Representative Tradok. "You appear to be having an allergic reaction, most likely to the peanuts in the pie. I think I can help you." Dr. Morivus thinks to himself "six years of med school, I join the Starfinders, and the first thing I do is treat a peanut allergy. . . .".

I hope this roll is better than the last one. I'll "treat poison", the DC is the same as the DC of the poison. Were this to fail, I can inject my dose of antitoxin I carry with me. Tradok will get a +4 to his saving throw if this succeeds

Dr. Morvius sets his wine glass aside and starts giving his full attention to the representative. I'm keeping a sharp eye on his breathing, skin color, and his pupils. I'm also watching for any swelling, especially of airways. The last thing I want is him going into anaphylactic shock.

I'm slightly better at doctoring than ordering an appropriate appetizer!

Takeshi recognizes the signs of the peanut allergy and moves to crouch next to Tradok and assist Morvius.

DungeonMaster

He is choking badly and he stops eating, and you manage to calm his conditions, but he does not understand what an allergy is, or the situation even as you explain it. The scenario wants you to make a bluff or intimidation check here, but won't allow a diplomacy check here against the Tradok, it is weird like that. The Chef comes over really mad. What is this?! This is nonsense, we scan our customers and he can't possibly have an allergic reaction. We have also found you ain't food critics, through proper investigation, all this as an attempt to get free food, first the food critic thing, now allergies, now leave an pay. He sharpens his cleaver in front of you, you're pretty sure the chef is crazy which is why they keep him in the kitchen. An hour has passed since you entered the restaurant and now. Though you can make a diplomacy or whatever check you want here against the chef

Zaknar turns to the representative calmly, "For some reason, your body has decided to fight against itself when you consume peanut butter."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 + 1d6 ⇒ (17) + 9 + (1) = 27
Zaknar gets up and flashes Pangea an irritated look as he walks over to the chef, clearly to speak to him semi-privately.

"Look," Zaknar starts with a charming smile, "my halfling compatriot there has a bit of a thing." As he says this, he takes a finger and pokes his head with wide eyes. "She just seems to compulsively lie. Here's the real situation, That gentleman there is a Nuar from an asteroid called New Labyrinthia in Near Space. This is his first time here on Absalom Station. He is here in a first contact situation as a diplomat for his people. He has, in fact, never had peanut butter, so therein lies the reason for that. We are more than happy to pay, as I was going to anyway. Again I apologize for the halfling, she's got a serious condition. Surely we can work something out. Maybe you charge a little extra for having do deal with this situation? The service and food so far have been exceptional! And, as it so happens, this is likely to be this gentleman's only major food stop so there is a good chance he'll be telling his people about your food and this experience. You could end up as the restaurant for the New Labyrinthian people. If it's not too much trouble, and we'll pay, could you perchance make something else for Representative Tradok's dessert?"

Seeing that Zaknar seems to be working hard to calm the chef, Dr. Morvius keeps his attention on the Representative. "Representative, maybe you'd like to try some of my dessert--this has a fine chocolate paired with fresh berries imported from the jungles of Castrovel. I haven't touched it yet, so it's all yours if you'd like it.

If the representative takes interest in my dessert, I'll carefully move the offending peanut butter pie away. Here's a bluff check to divert his attention to my dessert:

Bluff Check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

DungeonMaster

With a bit of help, Dr. Creed explains the situation, and his allies make an interesting point. He then takes a bite of Creed's food enjoying it. The chef however is still not happy. Zaknar calms down the chef, though he still ain't happy you lied about being food critics to get in for free and instantly, so he kicks you all out immediately, but given he didn't know about the allergy does not make you pay. Success. The DC to prevent a fight from breaking out is a diplomacy 25 cause of the chef's attitude towards you. If a fight did break out, nonlethal would have been necessary and a dc 19 bluff or diplomacy prevents you from going to jail if you were knocked out, otherwise you could try to run after knocking out the chef and his two bodyguards. Lethal damage, even if it isn't the killing blow gives you 1 infamy during this fight. I misread the dignitary part. You can use bluff, diplomacy or intimidate dc 15, otherwise he is mad at you for taking away his food. I simply skipped over the word diplomacy, but you passed anyhow.
Fine, but I'm still not happy about it, next time reservations, even if you make them one hour ahead of time, and actually pay for the food, unless an incident occurs then we give the item to you for free. If you claim food critic next time, then I want to see a legit card that says you are.

Scores: Pangea, Zaknar, and Creed +3
Everyone else +2.
