Curanor, still dripping, perks up. "Maybe even a magic item." he gleefully exclaims, while he runs of to investigate the rest of the ship.

He casts detect magic before descending the stairs towards the hold.
stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
If he spots anyone he will retreat as silently as possible, if not he will move around and recast detect magic if he deems it safe to do so.

As Curanor descends down the stairs the cracking of a whip can be heard from the hold.

Trip: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14 hits Curanor's flat footed CMD and he is whipped from the ladder.

falling damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

"ENTERING MY SHIP! YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!" The Gnoll captain roars while he steps towards the prone Wayang, whip in one hand and axe in the other.

For an instant Mila thought that Curanor simply slipped down the ladder due to his bad luck. The shouting however indicate trouble. Mila quickly drinks the cure light potion she found and moves to the ladder.

Mila prepares to jump down with acrobatics next round

As Curanor is now in the hold he can see the following.

Chained the length of the ship, two to a bench, are 50 filthencrusted oar slaves bleeding from lacerations and open sores and slumped in sleep or exhaustion. The benches form a five-foot-wide aisle down the center of the galley, constricting movement in all but three areas: a 10-foot diameter around the main mast, slightly fore of midship, and the extreme ends of the galley which hold rooms.

Just in case you hear "Timber"
acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Question for gm, acrobatics 11 was not good enauf to avoid the falling damage?
And I only have a dex of +2 so that would make AC 16 (I got mage armor up) so no hit? Might be that I am nitpicking but otherwise i'm at 6hp with 6 non lethal and that makes me knocked out. I assume my attack of 10 misses in any situation btw.

Acrobatics and falling:
Creatures that fall take 1d6 points of damage per 10 feet fallen, to a maximum of 20d6. Creatures that take lethal damage from a fall land in a prone position.

If a character deliberately jumps instead of merely slipping or falling, the damage is the same but the first 1d6 is nonlethal damage. A DC 15 Acrobatics check allows the character to avoid any damage from the first 10 feet fallen and converts any damage from the second 10 feet to nonlethal damage

Falling damage is clear: failed check (<15 acrobatics) leads to damage, but because it was deliberate, the first 10' is only subdual. As you didn't get real damage, you don't go prone. The AoO hitting or missing might be debatable, but I'm ruling it hit (you were falling uncontrolled). If it leads to the combat going the wrong way, I might reconcider, but as subdual gets healed for every point of real damage healed (double value!), you might be back in fighting condition real soon

Question for Auke: Is it possible for Curanor to move behind the Gnoll in flanking position with 20 feet of movement?

If yes, he will do exactly that, flanking with Mila and attack with one dagger.

If not, I will post around midnight again.
