Curanor Tenebroskar

Curanor, still dripping, perks up. "Maybe even a magic item." he gleefully exclaims, while he runs of to investigate the rest of the ship.
He casts detect magic before descending the stairs towards the hold.
stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
If he spots anyone he will retreat as silently as possible, if not he will move around and recast detect magic if he deems it safe to do so.
| GM Auke |
As Curanor descends down the stairs the cracking of a whip can be heard from the hold.
Trip: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14 hits Curanor's flat footed CMD and he is whipped from the ladder.
falling damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
"ENTERING MY SHIP! YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT!" The Gnoll captain roars while he steps towards the prone Wayang, whip in one hand and axe in the other.

For an instant Mila thought that Curanor simply slipped down the ladder due to his bad luck. The shouting however indicate trouble. Mila quickly drinks the cure light potion she found and moves to the ladder.
cure light: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
"Curanor Laddy, hang on I'm comming.
Mila prepares to jump down with acrobatics next round
| GM Auke |
As Curanor is now in the hold he can see the following.
Chained the length of the ship, two to a bench, are 50 filthencrusted oar slaves bleeding from lacerations and open sores and slumped in sleep or exhaustion. The benches form a five-foot-wide aisle down the center of the galley, constricting movement in all but three areas: a 10-foot diameter around the main mast, slightly fore of midship, and the extreme ends of the galley which hold rooms.
Lysassa

Hearing the ruckus as Curanor stumbles down the stairs
" ..great, sounds we need to spend more healing soon.."
Lysassa moves up to the stairs leading down
I'm assuming that I have line of sight to the gnoll?
Lysassa lets out an ear-piercing scream aimed at the gnoll hovering over the fallen Curanor.
Sonic damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
DC 16 fort save for half damage and to avoid being dazed for 1 round
Brother Grimaldus
|
Making his way to the edge of the stair, hesitant to go down he replaces his morningstar and then grabs his holy symbol, preparing to use it for the next round for a Bless spell
Curanor Tenebroskar
|
Curanor shouts "ALL I WANTED IS TO STUDY ARTIFACTS, BUT YOU IDIOTS KEEP RUINING MY DAY. I WILL STUDY YOUR BLOODY SCREAMS INSTEAD! DIE! DIE! DIE! He turns invisible supernatural ability and stands up
Mila the steadfast
|
Mila jumps down with acrobatics aiming for the spot next to where Curanor was.
Just in case you hear "Timber"
acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
If she lands on her feet than she takes a swing
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 101d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Lysassa

Lysassa concentrates and sends sickening thoughts at the gnoll, resulting in a beam of greenish light aimed from her outstretched finger towards the gnoll body
Ray of sickening, DC 17 fort save or become sickened for 3 minutes

Question for gm, acrobatics 11 was not good enauf to avoid the falling damage?
And I only have a dex of +2 so that would make AC 16 (I got mage armor up) so no hit? Might be that I am nitpicking but otherwise i'm at 6hp with 6 non lethal and that makes me knocked out. I assume my attack of 10 misses in any situation btw.
Lysassa
|
If a character deliberately jumps instead of merely slipping or falling, the damage is the same but the first 1d6 is nonlethal damage. A DC 15 Acrobatics check allows the character to avoid any damage from the first 10 feet fallen and converts any damage from the second 10 feet to nonlethal damage

Falling damage is clear: failed check (<15 acrobatics) leads to damage, but because it was deliberate, the first 10' is only subdual. As you didn't get real damage, you don't go prone. The AoO hitting or missing might be debatable, but I'm ruling it hit (you were falling uncontrolled). If it leads to the combat going the wrong way, I might reconcider, but as subdual gets healed for every point of real damage healed (double value!), you might be back in fighting condition real soon
Brother Grimaldus

Hearing the sound of combat he makes his way down, shield at the ready and holy symbol in the other hand he unleashes a channel of healing
channel: 1d6 ⇒ 2

To hit roll?Ray of sickening, DC 17 fort save or become sickened for 3 minutes
Doh, completely overlooked the part that required a to hit roll
To hit touch ac gnoll: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 2 - 4 = 13
Mila the steadfast
|
Thanks for the clarification :), So by now that is 6 Non lethal, 6 regular damage and 2 hp healed and 2 non lethal healed.
Curanor Tenebroskar

Curanor is first
Question for Auke: Is it possible for Curanor to move behind the Gnoll in flanking position with 20 feet of movement?
If yes, he will do exactly that, flanking with Mila and attack with one dagger.
If you want to speed it up, use some of your luck and roll for Curanor.
If not, I will post around midnight again.
Brother Grimaldus

Taking a step back the cleric unleashes a small prayer to Saranrea before letting her blessed powers flow through his companions.
Bless has been cast!
Curanor Tenebroskar

Curanor goes all out against the Gnoll
attack + flank + bless - TWF: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 2 + 1 - 2 = 25
damage: 1d3 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + (3) = 5
attack + flank + bless - TWF: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
damage: 1d3 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + (2) = 5
"Scream for me!"

She swings he sword out two times, and due to forgetting to add the flank bonus the hits are actually 18 so perhaps we are well on are way to gnoll minced meat?

"Time for him to go down, no more playing nice."
Lysassa gather some energy in her hands and spins them around until the energy starts to glow in purple energy around both her hands, she then stretches both of them out in force towards the gnoll and 2 purple glowing energy missiles speed out towards her target.
Magic missile damage: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 2 = 8

Actually bless was calculated in there. I usually add up instead of saying ++++ but I think we made huge progress :)
Curanor Tenebroskar

"Mila, can you tie this guy up? I am going to free the slaves."
"Geraldus, Lyassa, can anyone of you check the health of those poor people?
Towards the slaves "Are there any more slavers on board besides two gnolls and two humans?"
Curanor grabs his Masterwork Thieves tools and starts picking locks.
Did the Gnoll scream? If not, Curanor has made him a promise.

"One stabilize on this here git if ya please Grimaldus, he shall stand before the axe of justice and lose his head i'm sure. This might put a notch in all them slavers belts."
Mile shouts to all the slaves while following up on Curanor's request.
"We are pathfinders here to save yea all, Brother grimmy here will staunch you all up. Those of you that want to make it on yea own leave, but the slavers are ours! Just take care of yea self. Anyone else can join us back the the pathfinder lodge, i'll make sure there's some food, cloths and defiantly baths. Lysassa moves over towards the slaves and checks them out as best as she can, prodding them with a bony finger and opening their eyes and staring into them before opening their mouths and checking their teeth.

Towards the slaves "Are there any more slavers on board besides two gnolls and two humans?"
"I think the complete crew is more than a dozen, but most are on shore leave. I suspect they might return soon, so hurry! That gnoll was the only one on the lower deck I think."
Curanor grabs his Masterwork Thieves tools and starts picking locks.

The gnoll did not scream when Curanor cut him, but he did laugh like a hyena.

"Curanor laddy, this here might be the woman we are looking for. Ya skills are needed. Mila removes the gag and quickly explaines we are hired by her husband to get her back savely."
When Curanor takes over, Mila starts searching for the logbook her faction dearly wants. And grabs any other loot the slaver might have.

Making his way over to Mila he crouched down and gave her a quick look over to see for injuries / wounds etc.
