![]() |

Niza, still in boggard form, swims across the remainder of basement and up the stairs on the other side. Once on dry land, she tries to return to her normal gnomish self, but finds she's unable. Albis swings low towards Niza, but realizing she's still a frog-like creature, darts back up towards the ceiling. "Uhm... guys... so, turning into a frog definitely helped us defeat that leech, but I think I'm stuck like this for a little bit."

![]() |

"Finally," Kasvot mutters, grateful he can now put his full attention to the task of getting through the water.
2 rounds of double move to get through the water, including a Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 check to get onto the barrel at the end. Probably another Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 check to clamber out of the water and across another barrel to get on the ledge at the other end of the room.

GM TOP |

Niza easily disappears under the barrels and pops up on the other side, moving up the steps and out of the water. Rivulets of brackish liquid run off her oily boggard body.
Kasvot moves around to the far end and attempts to hop up on the barrel. It spins under him and he falls back into the water with a splash. Refocusing, he holds hard onto the barrel and vaults up, using the barrel to climb up onto the dry walkway.
Dimple easily hops up onto a barrel, apparently hoping to be carried across the water like a queen.
Dimple will next need an acrobatics check to stay on the barrels. If she does so, she could hop across them to the walkway. But maybe she just wants to keep making checks and wait for someone to move the barrel for her.

![]() |

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
"Just like this Dimple. Watch me and do as I do." replies LGZ as he hops from barrel to barrel and up to the walkway.
"Now as for the frog thing...I read somewhere if someone kisses you you turn into a prince. Perhaps that'll help?"

![]() |

"LGZ!" Kasvot puts an exaggerated look of shock on his face, and then looks pointedly across the water towards Dimple, slowly returning his gaze to this side where Liet-Gar and Niza stand so close to each other.

![]() |

"Huh? OH! I wasn't saying I should kiss the frog. It's all slimy like a bug!"
"Uh...no offense Niza...But Albis could certainly handle that."

![]() |

A rather insulted and grumpy bard gracefully makes her way to the other side of the flooded basement. She mutters under her breath as she leaps from barrel to barrel. "Pfft! No wonder they say chivalry is dead! Won't take a girl for a little ride. What would it hurt? Why not have a little fun? NO! We hafta be all stupid 'n stuff. And then insulting Niza. Unless she really is a frog. But still, why is he worried about kissing HER?"
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

With all the flirting going on everyone seems to forget about the barrels clogging up the room. But, Fromagalli decides to just work his way through, shoving a few out of the way so Vie and him can make it through. Liet-Gar peeks into the next room and sees...
...A web of thick, pulsating goo covers the walls and part of the floor of this room. Dozens of misshapen, puffy heads and arms stick out from throbbing sacs attached to the vile substance, their mouths wailing and moaning, and their twitching claws reaching out blindly. Spiraling stairs lead down to a central two-foot-deep recess decorated with diabolical symbols.
On the far wall is a closed doorway.

![]() |

"Well, that's just gross! Can't you guys just rub your special magic metal on that stuff and make it go away?" The bard is obviously referring to the cold iron weapons the team has come to rely on when eradicating the gooey blight.

![]() |

Reaching out his favored weapon, LGZ pokes at the closest strands. "I'll give it a go sweet Dimple."
His eyes glancing rapidly back and forth, he watches for the horrendous, heinous beasts they've encountered far too often; bugs. "You don't think...there wouldn't be more...bugs down there...right?"

![]() |

The gnome smiles as she tucks a loose lock behind her ear. Sweet Dimple? Aw, he's trying so hard. Too bad he's absolutely terrible at expressing himself. Poor, dumb, lovable oaf.
Hiking a thumb back toward the flooded section of the basement, "With all that water? Nope, not a chance. Whatever is over here on THIS will be much, much worse." She pats the warrior on the back, "Now, go get 'em."

It can't do much, but we could outfit it with a cold iron dagger and send it to clear all this nasty goop out of that entire stairwell. Even if it gets ambushed while doing so--which I think is more likely than not--it will get ambushed... not us."

The tiny gnome tries to figure out if the little mite cast a spell. Deciding she does not really know...or care, she takes a moment to offer a prayer to Desna. She rolls up her sleeves before pulling out a butterfly shaped necklace. In a voice that sounds like it is trying to be equally part reverence and part Gregorian monk chant, Dimple intones, "Oh Mistress of Dreams, please guide my friends as they try not to get de-ead and Liety-Spaghetti screams like a gi-irl. Allow them to battle with purpose. Like, with di-rection. Not the crazy way a butterfly does not seem to know where it is go-ing half the time. Seriously, how do those things ever get anywhere? They just zigzag until the hit a tree or get eaten by a bi-ird." She then opens one eye and looks around. Realizing she forgot something, she shuts her eye again. "Thaaaank yooouuuu!" Dimple stares at the symbol of her faith for a moment. Was I supposed to kiss it or shake it or something else? They really should provide directions with these things. The bard-cleric (Beric? Clard?) then kisses the icon before tucking it back into her tunic.

Check one of the boxes that precede this boon to throw a jar at a square as a ranged attack roll against an AC of 5 (range increment 10 feet). If you miss, use the rules for missing with a thrown splash weapon to determine where the jar lands. When the jar hits the ground, it splits open, filling the square with brown mold. The mold deals 2d6 points of nonlethal cold damage per round to anyone it its square. Unlike typical brown mold, it does not expand when fire is nearby—the jarred samples have become somewhat sickly from their long confinement.
