Slowly, the half-elf creeps over to the cradle, peering over the edge...weapon in hand.

Something is moving underneath the small blanket... squirming quite hard to get free.

Dimple scoots up, whispering, "This is creepy, right? 'Scissor-Mom' and whatever Bundle of Joy is blorfing around under there." She looks up at the half-elf, "Blorfing should totally be a word. Blorf; verb. Creepily undulating under the surface in order to freak out others." She stabs a finger at the bassinet, "That's a blorf, right there if I've ever seen one!"

Niza moves up closer to Dimple, trying to get a better look at the 'baby'. Albis's wings flutter at the ominous vibe in the room. Niza whispers, "I'm not going to lie... I'm a little freaked out by this... whole situation. It's weird."

'Blorf' considers LGZ with a low chuckle, he slowly stows his blade.

"Cover me."

Cautiously reaching down, he grabs the top of the blanket with thumb and index of the right hand and tries to pull it back...revealing what's beneath. "Lets just see who...or what...is blorfing then..."

Having followed the others into the room, Kasvot motions for Liet-Gar to hold off on lifting the blanket quite yet. The half-orc casts detect magic and checks to see if... whatever... under the blanket gives off such an aura first.

Why would she(?) not be with the baby and then send us to look for it? That sounds like a trap (or at least a distraction) to me. Vie tries to keep watch to see if the figure is sneaking up behind them.

Kasvot's short delay shows nothing with his magical sight. Vie keeps an eye on the creature in the other room, she does not seem to do anything but sit there snipping her scissors.

*snip... snip*

Liet-Gar flings the blanket away and there is nothing there!

His confusion quickly turns to terror as he feels a thousand tiny little pricks as something is climbing up his arm. Looking down his heart skips a beat as he sees a small (tiny size) fiendish centipede crawling up his arm from inside the blanket. He jerks his arm away and the little vermin falls to the floor. It starts to flee towards some furniture.

Do we go into Initiative to see if you all can kill it or just let it go?

"AWWWWW GET IT OFF GET IT OFF" shrieks the half-elf shaking his arm violently. Eyes wide, he turns to Dimple for help....as it falls to the floor.

Stepping back, he watches in terror as it charges the furniture. "I...*gasp* uh...*gasp* it tried to kill me...I'm ok."

Joining in the warrior's panicked response, the gnome screams as well. "AAAAHHHHHH!!! WHATISIT?!?!?! Oh no! Where did it go. Did it bite you?" She grabs the half-elf's arm and pulls it closer to inspect it. "Did it burrow under your skin? I hope it doesn't leave a scar...or worse. You know, like crawling through your body to lay eggs in your face." She grabs his chin and drags him down so they are face to face. "You don't feel bubbly or pregnant or anything, do you?"

Despite all that is happening, she can't stop herself from musing. Even now, his eyes are perfect. And his lips, they are like RIGHT HERE! Just a quick peck. What could it hurt? I bet they're soft, like clouds of cinnamon.

"Well... my name is Anilda and I am a fey creature that has sorta gotten stuck on this plane, but I like it here! There is such beautiful tragedy and emptiness in this house, it's delicious. Anyway, that's why I wanted to know about the people who were here, they must have just had such a horrible life or... at least tragedy in death. Thank you for sharing what you all know about them. Currently though there is a very strong gentleman down in the basement that commands the mites, dirty little creatures they are. I'm always having to clean up after them all. Do you like my outfit? This eerie creature resembles a human with oddly segmented limbs, waxen skin, and doll-like eyes.

Dimple:
This is a Nukkafeen, a N Medium Fey creature. It is blind, but has blindsight 60. Most importantly it has the following ability.

Steal Eyesight (Su) Once per day as a standard action that provokes attacks of opportunity, a nukkefeen can steal the eyesight of any humanoid or animal that can see within 30 feet. The target must succeed at a DC 14 Will saving throw or become blinded for 1d4 hours. During this time, the nukkefeen loses all the benefits and drawbacks of blindness and blindsight, and it gains the target creature’s low-light vision and darkvision abilities, if any. If the nukkefeen dies while using the eyesight of a creature, the affected creature immediately regains its eyesight. If the affected creature dies before the duration ends, the duration of the nukkefeen’s stolen eyesight is instead extended to 24 hours. This is a curse effect. The save DC is Wisdom-based and includes a +2 racial bonus.

As Vie activates his magical sight, he notices a large number of auras. On the table in front of him is a whole pile of magical potions, five of one kind, two of another, two of a third and one of a fourth. He has no clue what the set of five might be.

Over by the fireplace he notices a singular item, it looks like a monocle, but it definitely has some magical properties. There are also four obvious alchemical fires and two sun-rods next to it.

No traps activate upon entry and movement and the creature is most certainly not alive. It also appears, if you collected all of the remaining items in the room, they would complete an entire alchemy lab.

"Okay, that half set of glasses there is pretty cool. Imagine if we had the other half! I bet the schmuck who owned 'em wore it like some kind of Chelaxian aristocratic jerk." She waits a moment, "That sound fun actually." Dimple makes a circle with her thumb and forefinger and holds it over her eye. She begins talking with an erroneous version of a Chelaxian accent. "Oh I say! Look how evil and debased we are today. Does anyone plan on going to the flayings this afternoon? Perhaps after tea we can go to the exchange and see how much our souls are worth! Pip pip to eternal damnation and all."

Definitely the potions, but we should collect the rest in case it can be of use to us.

{sigh} Yes Dimple. You may wear the monocle.

The group collects the potions, alchemical options and the fancy eyepiece.

Let me know who took what or I'll just assume Albis carries it all by very very very slowly dragging it along the floor in a big sack. Where to next?
