Untir reacts too slow but he quickly closes the distance, hastened by the spell. When he nears, he calls upon his spirits who fly into the area and starts circling rapidly, summoning a dense and sickly looking cloud.

Unfortunately, haste doesn't give you any extra actions. Even with the enhanced speed (40 ft), it would still take Inghinn two move actions to get to her current location, leaving no actions for attacking.

The two taer try to resist the new stench, much stronger than their own...

...and neither seem nauseated. The green taer hoots at the blue one, who moves to the side to make space for its comrade before attacking the stinky-cloud-summoner while its friend swings and bites and Jarrett and the purple taer flails at Inghinn...

Jarrett finishes off the blue taer, then lops the green taer's head cleanly off its shoulders. Malek enters melee and swings, but the stench is too strong and he misses the purple taer. Bremi kicks at the red taer, and even though it takes all four swift kicks, the half-orc is able to bring the taer to the ground!

Roudantaimi, since Jarrett KOed all your targets you can move and use the first attack roll - just place your token on the map and let me know who you're aiming for.

The yellow taer screams as its companion falls and attacks Bremi...

Untir moves up next to the burning building. He calls forth his spirits to draw moisture from the air and snow, and then to release them in torrent upon the flames.

Cast create water - 10 gallons. Not sure how many buckets that is.

Roudantaimi sighs in relief as water pours down on the flame on Untir's command. He can only hope the shaman's efforts are enough to put out the fire before the outstation is completely ruined.

The gnome circles around the burning building to get a new taer in his line of sight, and fires his pistol.

Inghinn continues her attack on the purple taer, hoping to bring it down quickly so it doesn't interfere with Untir putting out the fire in the outstation. With the magical haste provided by Malek, she is able to swing her greatsword more swiftly and fluidly than ever!

It's an excellent question, and the scenario doesn't really give me the tools to answer the question of how much "damage" a 10-gallon bucket of water would do to the flames. Thankfully, we don't have to answer it at this time. Or ever, really.

Roudantaimi speeds around the building and takes out the purple taer as Inghinn slices the yellow one to pieces. With a bit of help from the rest of the party, Untir is able to produce enough water to quench the flames and at least keep the main structure of the building intact as the residents of Caina's Drop drive off the rest of the taer.

Out of combat!

Pledging themselves forever in the Pathfinders' debt, the waystation-folk insist their saviors stay for a few days to rest and recover from their recent adventure. "And wait for Osprey to arrive," Rysam adds before spitting into the snow.

Several days later, the Pathfinders leave the waystation (now patched and mostly weather-proof) to find Osprey waiting in front of the communal fire, watching the logs spit and crackle. "So," he says ominously, "were you successful in your mission?"

Inghinn moves over and joins Osprey at the fire. She takes a seat on one of the sawn-off logs set up as a bench near the fire and replies, "We recovered the ancient's remains, but didn't exactly strengthen our relations with the taer. All in all, a fairly typical few days in the life of Pathfinder Society agents."

Untir gives a slight nod. "The taer did not provide us much opportunity to make conversations. I must admit I am not terribly surprised - to them, we must appear to be a group of foreign grave-robbers stealing from their treasured remains. We in Osirion are acquainted with that so I can empathise." Untir's voice remains neutral throughout, so it is not clear if he is passing judgement on the Pathfinders' actions.

"Oh?" Osprey responds with an arched eyebrow as he accepts the bundle. "I find it unlikely the beastmen even knew of the bones. Perhaps you angered them in some other way?" He shrugs. "Regardless, the Society thanks you for your service. You have indeed prevented a terrible fate by keeping these bones from the hands of those who would seek to steal the mystic's prophetic truths."

He rises. "Until we meet again, Pathfinders." Without warning, he transforms in a flurry of feathers into a long-winged hawk with mysterious dark markings around the eyes. Winging into the ice-blue sky, he soars off towards Absalom, leaving the agents sitting in the cold thousands of miles from the City at the Center of the World.

"If it wasn't the bones, I wonder what made the taer so angry. Was it something we did, or did the Aspis have something to do with it? I hope they'll calm down, eventually."

The gnome watches Osprey take off in the sky, against a very scenic, snowy background. It is very pleasant to just rest one's eyes on the horizon, until a thought interrupts.

"Wait... Does this mean we'll have to walk back home?"

"Maybe that creature on the mountaintop was sacred to them somehow. or that altar we moved to access the bones? Either way, it's time to head home." Inghinn catches herself and looks back toward the mountain, though her attention seems to be even further beyond the Dragon. "Well, maybe not home. But back to Absalom at least."
