I think you all sold off some of the stuff from Radovan's already.
I'll give everyone until tomorrow to chime in on what they want to trade and for what. Then we can start to move things along. Sounds like we are okay heading south to try and gather the items to destroy the Evil Sword of Saint Slaying. If that's changed let me know.

Musical Fruit: 3d4 ⇒ (4, 1, 4) = 9
I think I have used 4 of the 9...(campfire, shriekers, statue, treant). I'd like to keep the rest.
I'd like to keep the pigments.
For a traded rare or uncommon (wow super tough choice) I think I'll ultimately go with Ring of Spell Storing. I could get a familiar to solve my darkvision scouting problem then have a new assortment of creative utility spells on hand every day for fun.
Gunnar Thorstein
I know Gunnar would like to keep the Horn of Valhalla and trade in some magic items for Mithral Half Plate +1. He would be okay trading in the eldritch power staff and the repaired circlet, plus maybe one of those potions if we haven’t sold it already. He would sell his current breastplate (at half price for 200 gp) and use most of his share of coinage to buy scroll scribing components.
Luthael Invictusol
I’m on a biz trip until tomorrow night. The only magic item I would like is to upgrade his current magic holy amulet to a full amulet of the devout. Anything else he see as a blessing from Khors. Cheers
Luthael Invictusol
Any hope to upgrade his amulet?
Source: Tasha's Cauldron of Everything
Wondrous item, uncommon (+1), rare (+2), very rare (+3) (requires attunement by a cleric or paladin)
This amulet bears the symbol of a deity inlaid with precious stones or metals. While you wear the holy symbol, you gain a bonus to spell attack rolls and the saving throw DCs of your spells. The bonus is determined by the amulet's rarity.
While you wear this amulet, you can use your Channel Divinity feature without expending one of the feature's uses. Once this property is used, it can't be used again until the next dawn.
Magic breastplate and/or magic shield.
A light-themed magic dagger
... and these are my favorite things...
Gunnar Thorstein
Gunnar has a nonmagical breastplate you can have.
Ingryd Honeyhair
I could use a Cloak of protection, giving away the little weapon dangle and I will forsake the fishing pole and other magical items for such a thing.
+1 Ac an Saves hell yeah

@Gunnar and Invictusol
Times like these when we have time in between long rests, I'd love to charge up the Ring of Spell Storing. You have to spend a slot, but then I can cast the spell with your statistics. For example, I could cast Fireball from the ring with the same DC and dice Jubal would. But in general, if you have these prepared and don't use them before we rest...you can stash them in Scram's ring (like leftovers). Spells up to and including 5th can be stored, with a capacity of 5 levels worth of spells (so a single 5th, or 5 1st, etc)
Wizard: find familiar, darkvision (if we ever come across these), shield, feather fall
Cleric: any 1st level heal, hold person
Also apologies was crunched for time tonight but will gameplay post tomorrow.
Luthael Invictusol
@Scramsax Charge away. Whatever you need to load it up from Luthael
cheers
Gunnar Thorstein
Same from Gunnar. You may want a Misty Step as well…
Luthael Invictusol
@Tareth Thank you for the scene and amulet.
Are Winged Boots Uncommon for you? If those are too much, how about Helm of Comprehend Languages?
I've no interest any of the random magic items, so don't know which ones to trade away either.
cheers
Scramsax
As I was updating my inventory sheet, I noticed/remembered the diamond we found. I didn't have that in the tally, and we should probably just keep it as is for important spells anyways.

Both are listed as Uncommon in the DMG, so that's what we will go with. Note that the Boots require attunement.
DM - Tareth
Common, first level scrolls, so Find Familiar, are available for purchase. No more than 2 of any one scroll.
Same goes for potions if you'd like to purchase common potions.
Leomunds Tiny Hut is uncommon, you could find 1 available for purchase.
EDIT: All of this would be available in Courlandia, not Nargenstal.

Woot! Luthael can fly!
Scramsax
I'll assume the price of 75 gp for 1st level scroll, 150 gp for 2nd level scroll. These are from the 'shared campaign' rules of Xanathar's which are used for Adventurer's League and such.
Buying Find Familiar and Darkvision for 235 gp (extra 10 gp for the material cost of find familiar).
I will also pay for the cost of Gunnar to scribe them into his spellbook. 150 gp
Gunnar Thorstein
The best I could find for creating spell scrolls in DND is here, which seems reasonable for cantrips and level 1 spells, but quickly gets crazy expensive.
Gunnar is happy to scribe whatever Scramsax is willing to purchase, also freely casting them into the ring as he needs.
Scramsax
Thanks Gunnar, and yeah...the Order of Scribes 10th level ability is very nice compared to that.
you can create one magic scroll by touching your Wizardly Quill to a blank piece of paper or parchment
They also get to half those time and gold requirements for doing it the normal way.
Gunnar Thorstein
Find Familiar and Darkvision are the ones Scramsax wanted from the discussion here, so Gunna will scribe those two into his spellbook. I don’t think we explicitly established a price for the Tiny Hut or if it was bought…
Luthael Invictusol
How many gnomes can be captured in a Fireball? Especially, the concentrating one.
Gunnar Thorstein
I will try to do a better job of stating what Gunnar's reaction will likely be when I post for his turn. I realized I didn't do that after his last lightning bolt turn and he could have counterspelled the fireball, but I don't want to cause too much ret-con, so let's roll with it as it has happened. He only has one high level slot left anyway, so he can be prepared if there is another fireball headed their way...
Luthael Invictusol
Hi team
Heads up. I've a biz trip leaving early Monday morning and returning late Friday with no time to post during the trip.
cheers
DM - Tareth
Have a good trip Luthael.
I'm also on the road today, so might not get a post up until tomorrow morning.
And if anyone is interested in trying out a Powered by the Apocalypse game, this game I'm in is recruiting. It basically a Battlestar Galactica setup with alien fungi instead of robots. PbtA is a more narrative based system with a simple 2d6 mechanic, so it's a pretty easy system to pick up. If anyone is curious and wants to take a closer look at the rules, PM me and I'll get you a link.
Gunnar: Scrams' pointing out the enemy totally gives you enough info to fire away.
Gunnar Thorstein
Thanks for the update--I'll let the previous rolls from Gunnar ride since it ended up being more of a readied action unless you want me to reroll...
Ingryd Honeyhair
Does Scram kill him before I get a chance to swing? If so Ingryd will try to take control via Animal handling to guide the Oxen from a collision in that round.
If not I can do something and then try to control the Oxen.
Scramsax
Just to clarify for Ingryd's question, we are nowhere near our destination? Basically we have just reached the north edge of the Rothenian Plain and still must cross the entire thing?
DM - Tareth
Correct. You are not close to your destination in the Despotate yet. You are basically about 50 miles south of Lingenau (where you stayed with Luthael's parents) and 300 miles south of Nargenstal. You are about a thousand miles from Monk's Harbor in the Ruby Despotate where the black void sands might be found.
Kalisuel
2 people marked this as a favorite.
Hiya folks. How have ya been? Happy to see the game's still going strong!
DM - Tareth
Hey all, just a heads up that Kalisuel's player is looking to jump back in, but probably with a new character. Since we've got a couple of open spots, I'm all for it.
Will hold things here for a day or two so he can figure out a character and whether to be a prisoner or jump in some other way.
Still plenty of RP opportunity to figure out what you want to do for/with the prisoners and Gunnar's discovery about a possible connection between the gnomes and those blasted ghouls and their empire. ;)
Arianna Moonwood
Alright, name picked and concept decided on. Now I just got to figure out how to make this bard not so much like the other bard.
Arianna Moonwood
Really, I should be asleep, but I was too excited. Arianna's ready to go once the GM has a chance to look over her stats.
If all's good, then just tell me when to jump in. :)
