Happy Thanksgiving everyone! we're travelling so I will try to update if the wife lets me out of black Friday at a reasonable time tonight.

I thought that Black Friday was on Friday? Did Friday start already? ;)

Hah! Yes, we started at 6 PM, and I crashed about Midnight, but the wife kept shopping till 3 PM Friday. . .

I'd like to prepare our group for my upcoming trip and likely temporary absence from our game. I'll be headed out on our family holiday trip next Wednesday 11 December, and won't return home until 2 January 2020.

My internet connectivity will be OK, but my ability to post will be crimped. Do not rely on timely posts from me. I'll post once more in reference to this when I am officially on vacation.

I wish you all a safe and peaceful holiday season full of natural 20s.

I am really liking the synergy I am seeing here between Paladin and Bloodrager. The Paladin really needs the boost to offence and a dip in Bloodrager really delivers.

I have change of command and then Hail & Farewell/Christmas Ball tomorrow so I may be out till Sunday after tonight.

@Oxnard - Are going into initiative or can we take an action now?

That will be going to initiative- I'll update tonight; had my local PFS game last night and couldn't get an update in.

I loved Kenji's personality! I would definitely not have a hard time with Kenji back in the group, but I see that would put as at 7 characters.

@Oxnard - A couple of questions about the creature. 1) Does everyone need to save vs fear from the scream and 2) As the creature falls and gets up from prone should we not be getting attacks of opportunity?

Yes everyone needs to make the save

2- not when it falls, but when it stands back up if you are not panicked that would trigger an attack

Hey GM, when Drea and Rogarch fled, did we flee back through the chamber with the guardian of Nethys in it? We didn't have Nethys holy symbols on if we did, and....well......

My recollection of events is that while Ram and Drea failed their saves against fear and were prepared to flee Rogarch smashed the monster to bits before Drea had a chance to run away. Ram had the opportunity (due to higher initiative) to bolt to safety.

Hey everyone, apologies for not posting sooner. I've started a new teaching job this past week and have been focused on getting my head around the syllabus.

GM, I think we are all confused about your reference to “the key”. We need you to clarify things, please.

The skeletal champion two rooms back had a key which unlocks the rest of the doors on this level- we weren't clear on who was physically carrying it.

Easiest is probably to just say whichever of you wants to be holding it can- potentially kenji since he's first in initiative order.

Hi GM, I thought we assumed Kenji has the key so he would have opened the door with his first action.

So his action would be move action to get to the door and move action to open the door?

If yes then assume this happened already.

I need to know how to handle the failed Reflex save, GM. I want to use my 5 star GM reroll here if I can, because I’m in the middle of casting silence. Is that even valid?

If not, then I’m likely to lose the spell from the scroll because I’m in the middle of casting it. What happens to the spell on the scroll?

Or do I have it all wrong? I can’t action Drea until I hear from you on this.

Sorry- yes you can use your reroll.

I believe you if you fail conversation a spell slot is lost, but I don't think a scroll is consumed unless you complete the spell- that's always been my interpretation at least.

My dice rolls will be sung about by bards in centuries to come.
