GM Nefreet |
Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Fire sputters and smokes, and the air is noticeably less warm. It's the sort of encouragement that Water needed to get out and about!
Earth is much more cautious, and only steps forward just enough to get within reach of Sheher and strike once.
Slam!: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23
Bludgeoning: 1d6 + 10 - 9 ⇒ (5) + 10 - 9 = 6

'John' Rebus |
John takes a guarded step back, and shoots at Fire.
Called Holy Ghost-Killer Poacher Injector Pistol: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19, for 2d6 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (4, 5) + 8 + 2 = 19 damage.
Pangea-Mu |
Pangea pricks Zolvi...
+1 AC for 4 rounds
Zolvi |
Much obliged! the Kasatha says as she lashes out twice with her blade at the water before her.
attack: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 13 - 4 = 22 for damage: 1d6 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17
attack: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 13 - 4 = 16 for damage: 1d6 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19
Id focus on one at a time! she yells out to Sigmus. A beat, then she adds one amendment. And maybe not shoot fire on the fire one!
GM Nefreet |
Sheher ponders her next move, John shoots over everyones' heads to ping Fire in theirs, Pangea continues sharing the love, and Zolvi begins washing her sword in Water.
Perhaps due to their crippled status, Fire simply backs away from the fray.
Air finally emerges from their room, now fully shaped as a giant whirlwind. They twist and spin and dance past Fire and Water before howling and ravaging their way through the party!

Pangea-Mu |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Pangea cradles its hand that was slightly banged by the whirlwind.
"I AM HURT!!!"
I think this is my first damage since the start of the AP (?)
Sigmus |
Sigmus levels the laser at WATER and let's lose two shots
artillery laser vs WATER EAC: 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 11 - 4 = 12
fire damage: 3d8 + 8 ⇒ (8, 8, 2) + 8 = 26
artillery laser vs WATER EAC: 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 11 - 4 = 27

CRIT! Effect burn: 1d6 ⇒ 3
CRIT! damage: 3d8 + 8 ⇒ (2, 1, 7) + 8 = 18
Sheher |
Sheher promptly puts Fire out of her mind and moves to join beating down on Water.
Entropic Strike vs EAC: 1d20 + 8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 5 = 20
Damage Acid: 2d8 + 6 + 8 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 + 8 = 22
GM Nefreet |
Wind, Will Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Wow, another 1? Varnais, I think you've found your targets ^_^
The tornado is noticeably less tornadoey.
Sigmus provokes an attack of opportunity for firing his laser so close to an angry tidal wave, and Sheher underestimates the reach of the pile of rocks as she leaves its threatened area.
Slam! vs Sigmus: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
Bludgeoning: 1d6 + 10 - 5 ⇒ (5) + 10 - 5 = 10
Slam! vs Sheher: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21
Bludgeoning: 1d6 + 10 - 9 ⇒ (2) + 10 - 9 = 3
Earth then uses that same incredible reach to slam Varnais twice!
Slam! vs KAC: 1d20 + 15 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 15 - 4 = 27
Mirror Image, 1 is a hit: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Bludgeoning: 1d6 + 10 - 5 ⇒ (4) + 10 - 5 = 9

Pangea-Mu |
Pangea slips an injection into its glove, and jabs into the wind, squirting liquid all over--
Injection Glove vs KAC: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Piercing: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

If it is in whirlwind form, I can't provoke from it, correct?
John starts firing at Water, loading an armor-eating round into his shot.
Called Holy Ghost-Killer Poacher Injector Pistol: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24, for 2d6 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (4, 5) + 8 + 2 = 19 damage.
Also, its DR is lowered by 5.

Pangea-Mu |

Delicate Pangea-Mu broke into a silicone-sweat as it thought it would be hurt, and thus sprayed the ceiling... but now realizes that its synthskin was saved from being bruised by the Azlanti aeon stone.
"Thank the Maker! I am unscathed!"
GM Nefreet |
As far as I can tell, a hobbled whirlwind isn't crippled too much. But this is its last round of whirlwind sooo...

If the first one hits, it has -5 to its DR.
Zolvi |
...getting embarassing... Zolvi says as she stands up again. This time she positions her blade, staring and bracing for the whirlwind.
Move to stand, then readying action to strike the air elemental if it flies by/through her.
GM Nefreet |
The beleaguered tornado reverts to its angry lesser self and blasts 1=Sheher, 2=Sigmus: 1d2 ⇒ 2 Sigmus! with a single gust of wind.

Pangea-Mu |
Mysticism: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
"Nope, nothing interesting..."
Sigmus |
"Guys, i need a second before we continue"
Sigmus reloads his rifle and then leans against a wall to catch his breath
I need to rest to regain my stamina.
Pangea-Mu |
"No problem, Sigmus... I need to calm down too. I thought I was hit, there, for a moment. That I was a goner... was saved by the Force Field, but barely..."
Pangea-Mu |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
While Sigmus is resting, Pangea turns around, putting his back to the others, and fiddles around with his armor, before... urinating, standing up, against the corner.
"Sorry, not used to all this new stuff I'm carrying around."
GM Nefreet |
Inspecting the doors one-by-one you find...
All of these rooms appear to have once been nearly identical offices, with nameplates indicating such prestigious titles as "payroll", "staffing", etc. They have since been converted into meditation cells by the kish, each containing a simple woven mat and several crude bowls coated with dried paint. The walls are a confusing riot of colors and shapes.
In this first office you find a discarded x-ray visor that has been converted into a sort of feathery mask. An hour of tinkering would be required to fix it before it could be used again.
The southern and northern hallway doors are locked and barred from the other side.
The southernmost office contains the body of a kish warrior. The corpse is burned in places, and two of its limbs are clearly broken.
'John' Rebus |
Medicine: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 26.
John raises an eyebrow.
"It would appear that the elementals did not like the Kish, either, based on the state of that body... he was drowned."
He then moves on to the next area.
GM Nefreet |
Over a dozen standing desks fill this large chamber, many of which have been heaped with dried flowers, decorative bundles of grass, and other homemade trinkets. Though worn in many places, the faintly checkered carpet still looks high quality. A corridor leads out of the room to the east (where you came from), a large locked door leads to the west, and a red door stands in the northern wall.
Feel free to place yourselves around if you are searching.
Sigmus |
Sigmus stands up after catching his breath and moves into the room to look around
