Saint Gudule shrugs and gives it a try as well.

"We have to go through that waterfall. Shall we use some magic?"

Saint Gudule knows that this is a portal that likely leads to the Plane of Water.

![]() |

"Well it seems like a portal which leads to the plane of water. Maybe we'll be wetter once on the other side..." he wonders.

![]() |

Regnum sighs. "Plane of Water? Dang. That all but makes me worthless in a fight. But, ah well." He digs into his pack and hands over his wand. "At least I come prepared for this. This wand will keep me and my musket usable."

![]() |

"Will someone use those wand before we go thru waterfalls? I mean those wands for breathing under water. We do not know what's coming up behind waterfalls."

![]() |

Regnum chuckles. "That is the most brilliant thing I have heard you say all day."
I have said that 11 posts ago but no one did not react. :P :)
"I'm a man of action, not of words!"

I'm not sure we should go throught that Portal anyway. I went to the Plane of Water a few months ago, in fact. And I'm not that Portal opens on both sides, that we could come back in the Spire if we want. So we'd better continue to explore, and I'd gladly use your magical wands to ensure you can breathe under water-or use that strange weapon of yours, Regnum.

[b] Elemental planes require specialized equipment which we may not have at this time [b]

Totally missed it, thats my bad, would have said the same thing at the time..
"Well, shall we?" Regnum heads back to the waterfall and awaits being cast upon himself and his musket with his lent out wand.

Saint Gudule nods profusely.
"I'm okay for that, just tell me when!" he says with hands full of wands.

THe paladin will wait to see what the response is as the gunslinger passes through the water fall

This room is filled from wall to wall with water that reeks of dead sea life. A cascade pouring from the northern wall churns up silt and other filth in the water, creating a murky mess.
The ceiling here is 15 feet high and the water is 8 feet deep. The water provides concealment to anything in it, or total concealment to anything more than 5 feet away.
The portal to the Plane of Water on the south wall is one size smaller than the portal in the other room, and it instead pulls water from here into the other plane, but it otherwise functions identically.
The patch of mud in the water here is moving and not like mud should...

How Strange… I guess there are many marvels in this place, and maybe later we'll take a portal to the plane of Water for Something simple.
Baied ponders the magical power of the portal

Barm does not insisted in going first, Barm just does not want to play each level for 2 months. :)
I just want to finish the Emerald spire in one year. I hope this is not a problem?

Saint Gudule follows, swimming with difficulty, if not just walking on the floor.

All of you are caught by surprise when a pool of what you thought was mud begins to move towards you. Before you can even think to react, it completely covers Trutzburg.
reflex for Trutzburg: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Trutzburg is now completely covered in mud, giving him the pinned condition and he must hold his breathe while he is pinned.
Reminder that the water is 8ft deep here, so you need to swim to move and fight.

Knowledge planes, but the DC is 16 to identify. Word of warning, this creature is very strong.
Regnum's gun is as reliable as ever as a bullet smashes in the mud creature, however, the bullet hits with a lot less force than Regnum expected (unless his gun is magical?).
The mudlord takes a free swing at Regnum in the water from firing a ranged weapon so close!
AoO: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
It then tries to hurl a ball of mud at Regnum's face!
ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 12 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 12 - 4 = 9
but the mud goes wide thanks to Barm's intimidating presence.

The swim DC is only 10 for calm water, although those of you in armor may have some trouble. Thankfully, I don't believe ACP is doubled for swim checks like it was in 3.5

@GM: Indeed, no "double ACP" in pathfinder ^^ Also, on his profile, Regnum states that his gun is magical (+1)
Saint Gudule is quite taken aback by the sudden turn of events. Walking on the floor, he curses the mud.
Hampering Hex: The shaman causes a creature within 30 feet to take a –2 penalty to AC and CMD for a number of rounds equal to the shaman’s level. A successful Will saving throw reduces this to just 1 round, DC 17.

Just a musket +1 Don't think that makes it magical.

A +1 weapon is the essence of a magical weapon.
Anyway, with Barm's massive crit and Regnum's magical gun, the creature dissipates into normal mud, freeing Trutzburg!

"Can we swim to some dry land now? I'm not the most fond of the water." Regnum reloads his musket in preparation for the next fight, whatever that may be.
