Alright fine And Bodo will stand in line to buy one for himself as well as offer to help pay for the one we are buying for him.

Who all is standing in line to buy a copy of the album? And are you buying one for yourself?

Zigvigix explains that they believe the creature is a feather stalker, a predator far more unpleasant than its name implies. As far as the Stewards have been able to piece together, a two-bit crime lord illegally imported the creature, and the beast promptly ate him. Zigvigix can provide holorecordings of the incident taken off the station’s security cameras. They show a large quadruped creature covered with large feathers. the details are fussy as the creature bounded across the warehouse and savaged a lashunta security officer. Then, the video goes black as whoever was holding the recording device dropped it.

"I agree. Let us deal with the creature before anything else. I have little interest in the musical purchase; we can easily do that on our way back."

Deciding to go after the warehouse first, and then deal with the dangers of a synth-pop release line later, you follow the instructions from the crippled shirren. Ziggy's directions led you through the Downlow to a dark warehouse. All in all, it wasn't a place place for the Exo-Guardians HQ. Around the warehouse is a holographic tape line, warning passers by that the building is under xenoquarantine. Station Security had four people on duty, and the lieutenant asked for your purpose before allowing you in.

"As soon as the Wardens told us that the Starfinders were going to handle this, we sent most of the crew home. We're mostly here to see that that creature doesn't push its way out. Be careful in there. It's dark, and there are lots of merchandise crates. Try not to blow them all up, eh? They'll be sold to pay off the former owners' debts to the Station."

When you were ready, the lieutenant let you through the force perimeter, then sealed it once more. The doors to the warehouse had been forced open, and so it was easy enough to enter. True to the lieutenant's words, you found the interior to be completely dark, which was a detriment to some of you, but not for others.

Map is up. It is pitch dark, so you'll need lights of some kind if you don't have darkvision.

DJ casts dancing lights and will send them into the warehouse in front of the team. "Anyone see anything?"

DJ has low-light vision

DJ's lights dimly illuminate a small area of the warehouse immediately in front of you. Boxes and barrels of equipment are stacked about, with a computer station off to your left. The warehouse extends far beyond where the light can reach, but what you see looks like a dense array of junk to wade through.

Perception DC15:

A few feet ahead on you on the floor lies a 2-foot long feather, its tip barbed like a harpoon. It sits in a small pool of what looks to be dried blood.

A low, faint hum emits from REMO as movement can be seen beneath the lines of his circuitry. They do not glow as other androids' do, but the movement gives off the illusion of light emanating beneath his skin and he erupts into action. The tactical pistol snaps out of his leg and into his hand, lightning-fast, and he darts forward, eyes gauging the creature and looking for weak spots based on its height, weight, movement, and visible physiology.

Swift action to draw the pistol, full-round action to use Trick Attack (moving 30 feet).

It was Xerric who finished off the creature with another round of magical missiles. The blue-white missiles slammed into the feather stalker, killing it. The warehouse went quiet as the creature stopped twitching.

A few moments later, you heard a noise at the door. One of the StatSec guys peered in, flashlight shining. He stopped when he saw the lights on and the feathered body on the floor.

"You did it! You guys managed to kill it. Great job! I mean, we would have been able to handle it, of course, but our captain said to let you Starfinder guys do the bleeding. I don't think he really expected you to take care of it. Well done! I'll let the cargo haulers know they can come in and start getting this crap out of here. You find nothing of value

Having found nothing in the warehouse worth taking with you, you depart for the Reasonably Warm reasons for Discourse, a shirren-run eclectics store in the Downlow that is the closest kiosk selling the collectible Star Sugar Heartlove!!! music release. Your time spent in the warehouse has caught up to you here, as the line to get Ziggy's music stretches around the block.

The shirren's inability to stand for long periods of time would definitely have left him at a disadvantage here, as the line is a pulsating mass of bodies, each in their own little bubble of obliviousness, boredom, or ecstatic energy. There is, as is always the case in these lines, one guy a little ahead of you who is gushing on and on about SMC trivia and statistics, generally making an ass of himself, but not quite to the point of getting punched in the teeth.

Finally, after about 6 hours of boredom, a harried employee comes out of the kiosk and announces that the music has finally arrived. There is a big cheer from the crowd and everyone presses forward. Several sustain minor injuries in the press of the crowd, including one halfing that was knocked over and stepped on by a shobad with SMC logos shaved into his fur.

Anyone standing in line for the album must make a DC12 Fort save to avoid becoming fatigued, followed by a DC11 Reflex save to avoid 1d4 ⇒ 4 damage from the press of the near-riot. Ziggy gave you enough money to buy 1 copy of music for historia-7. You may each buy a copy for yourselves as well, if you like. If you don't have the cash, you can always take it out of your mission earnings. In either case, once you have your music, you can give it to Historia-7 and report back to Ziggy.

Weird that androids don't get a +2 against fatigue among their other stuff, considering they're constructs. Oh well. That roll would not have passed regardless lol.

REMO rubs his eyes, absently dodging another shoulder jostling his way. Once everyone has their copies and they are away from the store, he grumbles, "Let's get that to Historia-7 and be done with this foolish errand. We have one more task ahead of us; hopefully it is less ignoble."

Bodo will definitely buy a copy fort: 4 + 1d20 ⇒ 4 + (4) = 8 and he gets bored and tired.reflex: 4 + 1d20 ⇒ 4 + (12) = 16

@REMO - did you buy a copy for yourself?

Historia-7 gave you a long, unreadable stare as you presented her with the music album on behalf of Zigvigix. She turned it over in her hands a few times, no expression on her face, before saying "Thank you for bringing this to me. I shall enter it into the archives."

Taking your leave, you find Ziggy overseeing the moving operations back at the new headquarters for the Exo-Guardians. They are delighted that you have done so well in securing the building for him. They are even more delighted when DJ presents them with their own copy of the album. Ziggy does a little dance move, awkward due to his injuries, and hums a few bars of the S-pop song that you heard blaring over the speakers at the kiosk.

"You will go far in the Society, I just know it. And I will be there to say 'I knew them where'. That is the expression, isn't it? I knew them where? Seems odd. Sometimes common seems like a language created specifically to cause confusion rather than ease it. At any rate, I have a gift for you in return. We found this crate when moving out some of the old stuff, and the Station Security people said we could have it. It is yours. Use it well, but be careful with the grenades. I'd hate to see you get blown up - I like you!"

Inside the crate was a charge cloak, a set of iridishell armor, and a pair of grenades. There was also a credstick.

Loot:

  • charge cloak
  • iridishell armor
  • 2x incendiary grenades I
  • 400 credits
  • Your final task was with the Wayfinders, who operate out of the Master of Stars, an enormous warship that is part of the Armada orbiting Absalom Station. Looking through your shuttle's observation screen, the Master of Stars immediately stands out from the rest, as layers and layers of scaffolding obscure its hull. Tiny lights flicker among the metal beams as distant figures weld plates and heat shields to the ship’s exterior. The shuttle smoothly glides closer until it reaches the starship’s docking bay, slipping through the magic field that keeps the hold pressurized with breathable atmosphere. As the shuttle doors open, a small drone flies in and pops up a holoscreen, displaying a harried-looking ratfolk.

"Finally, fresh meat!" the ysoki exclaims over the screen, sounding pleased. "Name’s Fitch—pleasantries over, time to get to work. I had some trouble earlier with the lights flickering on the ship, and now both the lights and computers have suddenly gone out on E-Deck. No idea what’s causing it, but you work this job long enough and—" Fitch’s attention flicks to something offscreen, and she shouts "Kirkath! The welding torch is not a toy! You wanna go in the toddler’s pen with the other kids?" She snorts dismissively before continuing, "Sorry, some of these little ones would cut off their own heads if I let them. Anyway, it could be some lunkhead screwed up the wiring, but that’s a pretty big system failure for a simple electrical short. I’d prefer to send in some people with combat training to scout it out, just in case someone or something is sabotaging the ship. If it’s nothing, great, get the power back on if you can. If there’s something suspicious, use your comm units to report in to me. I’ll give you the access codes, so— Selicha! If you touch that panel I will staple you to the hull!"

The screen on the drone cuts out, then flashes to display the ship’s schematics and the passwords for the computers on E-Deck.

DJ smiles wide at Ziggy's enjoyment, and thanks him for the supplies.

Nothing in the supplies that I need right now

The Fitch vanishes from the screen just as DJ tries to ask a question. "...Well I guess we have our orders." He studies the schematics, copying them and the passcodes to his datapad. "Ready when you are."
