The campaign setting boxed set (CSBS) has the list of languages, but it is generally common (aka trade) and racial languages. There are mentions of regional or city languages, but the way the novels and various products went, I think they ultimately scrapped that idea since I never saw them mentioned beyond a paragraph in the CSBS. It might be lost in the mix, but non-humans receive their racial language plus common. Humans and half-humans (muls, half-giants, half-elves) gain common plus any one other.

Spells: Detect Magic and Read Magic automatically, then I'll leave it totally up to you with a total of 8 more known. Only two of those can be second level spells.

So whenever folks are "mostly" ready or totally finished, head over to the gameplay thread! I will get moving seriously forward early next week, but as I mentioned, use it as a pre-game lobby to interact and describe your character before the wagons start rolling down the trade roads.

Great, so start with Trade and Elven, and then to learn other languages proficiency slots must spent?

DM/RM + 8 more sounds good, I'll get to choosing :)

Ill post in with an alias shortly but was still wondering about thieves picks price.

Still working on my character, I should *fingers crossed* be able to post it this weekend.

Ah, sorry for missing the thieves tools question. You do not have to buy them as metal, so they can be purchased at 1% list (30 ceramic).

Hi DM, I was super keen to play this campaign, as 2e would be a real nostalgic thing for me (especially since I've just found my old PH and DMG!), but I've found myself today offering to DM another pbp, which probably means I can't quite afford the time to play this one. Sorry for the mess about, I wish I could play, but I'd hate to have to pull out a couple of months down the track, so it's best I do it now :/

Have a good game everyone!

No worries, good luck, have fun and if you find the bandwidth later you can check and see if we have an opening.
