Squealy Nord always uses more rockets than is technically wise. We don't need wisdom, we're bards!

And if we do need wisdom, well Roach has this herb......

In case we need consensus - Squealy Nord will do just fine for a name.

No dear Tobar, it's not Squealy Nord, it's Squealy Nord.

And I think having a mascot pig will do nicely. Though he should probably be careful around the pyros, or he won't be squealy no more.

Anyways, this character has a good Wisdom score, as I made his STR and CON lower, since he's a rather lean and dextrous one. His stage name will be "Spectral Hands".

Squealy Nord works for me.

It occurs to me. We need a Goblin.

This party is too silly to not have a Goblin somewhere in it.

One of us is taking Leadership at 7th and we are getting a freaking goblin.

If that's allowed. I will totally do it if you need me to.

Why wait for 7th? - lets just buy a goblin? An untrained hireling is only 1sp / day. Maybe if we pay up for a month ahead of time we can keep him?

That should work unless you want it to do anything more than be set on fire, made to float around in costume, ineffectually blow stuff up.

No, that's... really all we need a goblin for.

Alright. We will have to hire a goblin and keep him on retainer. You're a genius, Tobar.

I got 4 silver for it. How about everyone else?

I should have a bit spare. Let me see:

Masterwork flute / blowpipe - 100gp
Hipster outfit - free
Leather Armor - 10gp
Smoked goggles - 10gp Closest thing to sunglasses I can get
Pig in Harness - 10gp? Pigs aren't costed out in either APG or Core unfortunatley - but can't be more than 8 gp right?
Alchemical Grease - 5gp As it would be a travesty to own a pig and not be able to turn it into a greased hog.
Diguise makings - 5gp Can't afford a proper kit, but this should cover enough poultices for facepaint, etc.

10gp left over, so I can toss some into the goblin roadie fund. We shouldn't need to pay him more than a few days in advance.... cos really... we don't know how long he's going to survive...

If he dies early, can't we just loot the extra we paid him off of his corpse?

Alongside the part we paid him for the time he did work?

This might not be such a bad plan.

10 GP on my end as well.

Our little pet is going to be fun. The pig might not be bad either. :P

Oh right! Don't forget your spell component pouch. It's 5 GP, but it's 5 GP we need.

I already forgot mine and opted not to get one because I'm a moron. So.

Nah - I don't need a spell pouch.

Only material components my spells need are a bit of rabbit fur and a bit of wool - can easily have that hanging off my costume somewhere...

Is there a spot open for another player?

OK, it looks like we'll be good to go as soon as Roach gets his stat block up. So for anyone else reading, all the slots are filled.

Vinland - unfortunately, RainyDayNinja called it closed a little while back.

I've got my spell pouch. Figure its easier to paying 5 gp then to sift through my spell choices and look at components.

I have a lot of spare cash for the roadie fund as well. Like, 50 gp. We could get more than one goblin, you know.

I don't know whether it would be a good thing or a bad thing to allow goblins to set up our pyros. Maybe one of us should instead. I could see the goblins setting them up to spray the front row with fire, and laughing their little football heads off about it backstage.

We're podunk town nobodies - why would we have roadies?

Good point, I'll just have to hold onto it. We can hire the goblin roadies later. :)

We could hire goblins to set up posters and throw around fliers though.

Jordon Narciso wrote:

Yes, let's get a whole gaggle of evil pyromaniacs who think writing is a curse that steals words from your brain and give them stacks of fliers to stick around town. Great idea. ;)

Having the one goblin is just as we're down on our luck.

I'd dearly hope that when we start hitting the slightly larger than small time we upgrade to a more amenable humanoid mascot.

And until then, Goblin Roadie.

No one said the goblins would be writing. All they have to do is paste around posters, not any of that complex reading or writing stuff. :P

But they can recognize writing. As soon as one of us handed them the stack of fliers, they'd freak out, light them on fire, and try to kill us for our attempt to curse them.

And then we'd get more XP!

We could have him write our songs by letting him give us the lyrics and we write them down, so that we lose OUR words but his stay intact.

Goblin Metal would be pretty hardcore.

This, this, a thousand times, this.

I would love to hear the goblin rhymes put into a metal song. That'd be awesome!

Also, I'm sure a group of persuasive bards could convince these goblins that merely putting up the papers won't suck the words out of their heads. However, now that I think of it, they'd be poor choices for the job, as their arms wouldn't reach near high enough. I guess we should just settle for human lackeys. :(

Better Idea: We'll give the goblins stilts.

I think giving a bunch a goblins stilts, paste and a stack of flyers with our names on them is a wonderful idea.

What could go wrong?

Roach is nearly with us. Trust me to pick the two fiddliest classes in the game. One queastion for the GM. Could Roach reskin 'Toothy' from the APG into a headbut? only thing that changes is the damade type moved from P to B. What do you say, can the drummer headbang?

Sure, why not?

I'll go ahead and start the RP thread while you finalize your stats, so we can get this party started (pun intended).

Lo, I have posted in the thread.

A side note: We may want to put up an OOC Discussion thread as well, just in case.

I know this may be a bit late, but a goblin flying around on the pig would make an awesome album cover!

Well, it looks like we're down two band members, so I think Squealy Nord will be looking for new recruits. You'd be coming in after their upcoming performance. The rules are as follows:

-Starting at level 5. At least 4 levels must be as a Bard (every 3rd level can be in a different class).

-Starting wealth of 8150 gp.

-Keep in mind that Perform checks will be a big deal. We lost the guitarist and the keyboardist, so those are the instruments we're looking for (or something along those lines, at least).

Level 5? Does that mean we level after this performance? :O

Yes, you'll level up after this performance.
