As he runs, Fray remembers his horse and all the valuables in the pack saddle. He tries to remember which one of these creatures used to be the man who was talking to his horse. After a moment, he decides that he'll just ask the bugbear. He flaps his wings to catch up with Sarrissa.
"Excuse me. I carry a bit of soap on my horse. If you would be so kind as to help me retrieve it, I'm certain I could..." Fray gags a little as he tries to force the words from his lips. "Share... a bit with you."
the chinchilla, peeking out of the sacehel a bit, makes an odd noise. Possibly a half-hearted protest at the ubsurlty of this man's concnern. Or, perhaps, fear of the zombies. Who really knows, it's not like the noise exactly translates.
as you're running, the horse can be seen, totally ignored by the zombies, halfway back. The zombies have thinned out, by this point.

If the zombies have thinned out, and the horse is spotted, and she has channels left unused (she starts with 6 per day), Sarrissa will risk going for it. Not for the soap, but because of its speed and weight capacity.
Fray Ansel
Fray does his best to fly over large clusters of zombies to avoid taking much damage. Each leap he gets a little more comfortable in the air. After a few leaps he decides to test his accuracy from on high. He picks a particularly large cluster of zombies that are about to be in Zveris' way and hurls a bomb into the group.
icehawk333
the horse, unsuprisingly, is startled at the masive bugbear, and runs.... Right for town.
--------------------------------------
the zombies burn. They don't die, though. At least, the ones that take the spalsh damge. The main one becomes a Kentucky fried zombie.
Fray Ansel
Fray spots his horse while in the air. My horse! I doubt it will react positively to my current form... I need to find the beast man. He seemed good with animals. He swoops down to one of the lizard men. Landing near Merek and tries to keep pace with him.
"Excuse me, sir. You wouldn't happen to be the wild man, would you?"
Merek Montague
Merek is last in line, defending the rear and ensuring no one falls behind.
Upon seeing the strix speak to him, he responds, i can handle an animal well, but no; I believe the lizard in front is.
Unfortunately, it looks like Sarrissa has already made the attempt and your horse has fled.
Merek takes a swing at another zombie as he talks; dodges a second, and takes a blow from a third.
Oof! That one stung! Fear not, friend; the horse is running towards town. And you look passable enough for a human that you probably won't be killed on sight. Just got to hide those wings of yours.
Fray Ansel
"Ah, yes of course. Well you see, there are quite a lot of valuables on the pack saddle of the damned beast. Some of which may possibly offset a solution to our little predicament here. "
Fray is clawed at by a stray zombie and yelps out in pain. "Asmodius' a~!!&$&!" Looking back at the paladin, Fray regains his composure, "...My apologies." then flies off towards Zveris.
Edgar Storm
"Ain't that the truth." Edgar grumbles after taking a glancing blow to his unarmored back.
"I feel like a damned troll in this body."
He had already taken a couple hits, due to being unaccustomed to flipping, dodging, and rolling in the clumsy body, but he was slowly learning it's limitations. Another zombie was ahead and was already swinging. He tumbled: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 2 = 21 and easily avoided the attack.
I'm gonna say he took 3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6) = 13 damage from the previous hits
Christopher "Chris" Farrell
Apparently either not hearing the call for retreat or simply ignoring it for now, Chris charges the zombies "let's see how you like the blade of heven, Dawnbreaker!" how many zombies can be seen? And do any of them look different from your standard variety zombies?

at least 30 were seen in the clearing you were in... Alone. Many more can be heard, and they close in more every moment. Even standard veriatry zombies can be deadly when there is quite possibly a hundred+
the chinchilla in your satchel squeals loudly, as the zombies get tighter and closer togehter every moment you stay here.
oh, and the zombie, of course, is destroyed, to be replaced by two more advancing.
Merek Montague
Merek will not leave the clearing while someone is still there.
Zveris Pilvo
"What are you doing?! There's more than you can count!"
He calls back angrily to sword guy.
Even if Mr. Sword wants to commit zombie-based suicide, Zveris is responsible for getting the most people out that he can. He slows only slightly to let Merek catch up when he realizes sword guy beyond saving.
Christopher "Chris" Farrell
"They're zombies, it takes like, 10 seconds to kill them, plus, if I don't even try, dawnbreaker will never let me hear the end of it, so I figure I gotta kill as many as I can, and when/if I get hurt, I cast obscuring mist and get out of here casting shield while yet are still out of range
icehawk333
your sword disagrees heartily. It doesn't want it's bearer dead. The zombies charge.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
there are at least 10 more that can charge you in a few rounds.
What are you doing? Get out of here! Your teammates are trying to run, doesn't that tell you something?
Christopher "Chris" Farrell
:: that they're panzies.... Ow.. Ok, not normal zombies... More accurate than normal for one:: "screw it, as lame as it is to run from something so week, I can't take this many alone,"
He runs off, casting obscuring mist as he goes,
When he catches up with the others "ok what the heck guys, if we had worked together it would have taken us a minute, maybe two, to kill them all"
Zveris Pilvo
"They're coming out of the woodwork, in case you hadn't noticed. We could put up a fight until we starved to death and we wouldn't make a dent in them."
Zveris continues his charge through the swamp, tracking their footprints on the way.
"I don't think this,"
He gestures to all of himself for Fray.
"charging your horse is going to calm it down. It's going towards town. We can get it back from them later."
Fray Ansel
When Zveris stops his charge, Fray takes off into the air and makes a wide turn back around to see what the commotion is.
Because I didn't before...

My rolls are the stuff of legends
When he sees the orange man fighting against zombies, he begins descending and lining up a shot with one of his bombs. Just before throwing, the orange man begins fleeing and Fray beings the wide turn back around.
I'm just staying up here... Smells better anyway.
Edgar Storm
I should probably do this too =p
Lizardman: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Hobgoblin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Bugbear: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
I have no idea what the dc's are for this roll, i'm guessing 10+
EDIT:I have no damn clue what I or Merek are, but I know exactly what Sarrissa and Castell are XD

Sarrissa wrote:She catches the movement out of the corner of her eye. Suddenly the words stand out more over the screeching, screaming, arguing, and dozens of other sounds of the swamp. What has happened to us?"Merek holds his Bardiche upright, taking himself out of a combat stance.
He slowly walks past Castell and towards Sarrissa, Yes. It is me. You've changed. Everyone has changed. And I'm starting to suspect that I'm not in armor; my mouth feels... Strange; I'm bigger, bulkier, stronger.
Merek looks back behind him at something dragging on the ground, And, um... Apparently I have a tail now.
Obligatory: Honey, you got real ugly.
By the way, I hope you like big, hairy women.

"I've got some rations in my bag, and if needs be, Teacher and I can go hunting."
Edgar has clearly gotten a bit more used to his unusual form, as what few zombies left he is easily dodging| Edgar Storm |

this is your standard zombie. Nothing really special about it. zombie.

how many are there? Tens? Hundreds? Thousands?
Edgar Storm
Edgar stops for a moment, forms some hand signs, and 1d4 ⇒ 4 Shadow Clones appear to his sides, and he continues running.
Figure this helps explain how he dodges the rest.

Retreating was a tactical decision; not a decision made out of cowardice. I strongly suspect that even we cannot take hundreds, if not more of them.

”A wise choice, we got a score to settle with that hag, we cant die here to a bunch of shambling corpses.”
Zveris Pilvo
Once the threat of overwhelming odds is over, he'll slow to a jog as opposed to a sprint.
Zveris give him a look that's fairly nonplussed by his assumption that he lived in the mud. Nontheless, he responds.
"Bout 10 minutes if we could go through town. Half an hour since we can't."
He turns slightly to project to the group.
"Anyone want to try going after the horse? I would, but it went into town."
Can I cast speak with animals on other people?
Merek Montague
I would, but I'm not sure it would be a smart idea anymore. I know I would attack the likes of me on sight if I saw one of me enter town.
Edgar Storm
"I could attempt to pin back Fray's wings, make him look human so he can go into town and retrieve his horse."
EDIT: "Perhaps we can use this cloak to hide your other features?"
Edgar removes his now slightly undersized cloak to size it against Fray
How tall was your character when he was human CrusaderEm?
Sarrissa
What time would it be when we near town? If it's between midnight and dawn, Fray may be able to fly over head and scout, a quick dash under the cover of dark may save us some time, but I'm guessing time is one thing we have plenty of. I think we need to try and level, which means adventuring. The bard and alchemist need some new spells, hopefully disguise and illusions to make our dealings with common folk a little easier. Everyone needs to focus anew on skills for our new races. Retraining is probably in order, although most of that would probably require a base of operations.
"I think we should avoid town for the foreseeable future. I say we skirt the village and head to Zveris's place. Rest and eat. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'd like to take a look in the mirror. Maybe we could find a cave or something more secluded, further away from town, and modify our armor...I don't know."
Sarrissa
"Edgar seams pretty sneaky, and with Cas being so small, maybe they can go on a little scouting mission through town when it's dark. Maybe go to our homes and gather whatever supplies they can. Maybe Fray could fly over head and keep an eye on them. Signal the rest of us if something goes wrong. We can come to the rescue if things get bad?"
If need be, pull punches and go for non-lethal damage if forced into a fight with the town residents.
Merek Montague
A "night raid" may be in order to get Fray's horse back. And I agrees with Sarrissa. We need to refresh. I vote we go to Z's first, then scout a new locTion that's a bit more secluded while we think about what's next.
