I have been thinking that my pipe (token of my land) and my Shillelagh
Are a single item....

I just realized I have no idea how this works....in DW rules.
I guess I need to check the bestiary and or other rule areas to figure it out......
Looks like my base damage is listed as d6....
Because it can be increased to D8's if I take the move "red of tooth and claw" at second level.
Just not sure what to roll or how many to roll, and or what other manuevers I can try....

The way Shapeshift works is that when you shapeshift, depending on the result you get a number of Hold that you spend to auto-succeed on moves that your animal form has.
So with your 11, you have 3 Hold, which means you have 3 turns worth of actions that you can take as your animal. After that (or earlier if you choose) you will revert back to your normal shape.
The moves for an animal are intentionally vague and nebulous. Each animal form is intended to have roughly ~3 moves. As a Lynx, I'd probably say that you have something like this:
a) the ability to run quickly and/or jump high
b) the ability to track with having good sight and hearing
c) a ferocious bite/claw attack. (Free attack and probably give it piercing or bleed or something?)
You also can still do the Basic moves, which don't cost Hold. Eg if you want to do Hack and Slash, or Defy Danger, or Defend, you would still do those things as normal, rolling your stat as you would ordinarily. The Hold is specifically spent doing moves unique to that creature / form.
Does that make sense?

If anyone wants to play in a second game and doesn't regularly check Recruitment, there is a new thread up.

Cool, glad you guys are liking it. :)
Play-By-Post is SO ideal for DW, because the 6- results and hard choices get to marinate in the GM's proverbial creative juices a bit before being plopped at the player's feet.
Agreed! My initial uncertainty with it working was the idea of putting a player in a spot and having someone else come to their rescue. It feels like something that might fall apart if the players aren't super active, but I actually haven't had that issue with either of these games yet.

Posting tonight, probably late. Will be on vacation with spotty interweb access from June 11-June 20 though, so Swan may be relegated to helping/recuperating in the background until I return.
Alternatively, I trust y'all enough to write her actions into your fiction... Up to Yorick.

MAKE CAMP
When you settle in to rest consume a ration. If you’re somewhere dangerous decide the watch order as well. If you have enough XP you may level up. When you wake from at least a few uninterrupted hours of sleep heal damage equal to half your max HP.
That rest puts Swan back to full HP
You usually make camp so that you can do other things, like prepare spells or commune with your god. Or, you know, sleep soundly at night. Whenever you stop to catch your breath for more than an hour or so, you’ve probably made camp.
Staying a night in an inn or house is making camp, too. Regain your hit points as usual, but only mark off a ration if you’re eating from the food you carry, not paying for a meal or receiving hospitality.
Is Ameiko feeding us, or are we on our own?

Yeah, let's go ahead and call that the end of the session. Y'all get 2 XP for learning about the world, and for overcoming notable enemies (an actual barrage of goblins). Nothing for looting a notable treasure, though. And we can discuss bonds / alignment XP as well.
As far as resting, for some reason I had it in my brain that you were staying in the White Deer, not the Rusty Dragon, but now I can find no evidence to support why I thought that. If it was the case, you can certainly could have moved over to Ameiko's, since she offered you free rooms for your assistance. And if it never was the case, then no matter! But let me know either way since it might affect things.
And yes, she'll feed you if you're staying at the Rusty Dragon.

Sorry for the delays, I'm on the hunt for a new job and have been interviewing when I'm not working.

Still looking for an answer on this. I don't mind either way.
