I work in technology so I'm at a computer like 16-18 hours a day during the week, and like to get away from them a bit on weekends.
It is my understanding that if we don't leave this place soon we will spend a whole kingmaker game building a large enough group to retake Dammerhall... We should start moving to Fasturvalt, I believe...
As a follow up to a previous post - the PDF for Book 2 should be out next week, which should (hopefully) give me a better idea of where this is going. Of course since it's been almost two months and we haven't technically started the first book, I'm not exactly worried. :P
Based on that map of Nirmathas, and a map I thought I remembered from earlier but can't seem to find now... that we would have to pass through, or at least by Kraggodan, on the way to Dammerhall. Is Fasturvalt on the way as well or is it more north of the town we are in now?
Fasturvalt is very much on the way of where you're going. It had reached a measure of success particularly because of its location - being close to one of these few exits of the Underdark. Kraggodan is not nearby, or even in the same direction, though that's not to say that you won't go there at some point.
I am somewhat expecting that Dietrich and Gumar will agree to tag along "As far as Fasturvalt", since that's where Gumar is heading and Dietrich doesn't really want to go on this trip so far.
On The map of Nirmathas we're at Skelt. The entrance to the Underdark is just west in the Mindspin Mountains. Kraggodan is pretty far south, which means the Caravan would have gone for a few weeks before arriving - and thus the Dwarven city is rather out of the way.

Hey guys, let me apologize for my like of involvement recently. The past couple of weeks, real life has ramped up considerably. Between sick kids, Easter, and beginning the process of resigning from one job, packing, and moving across country in a couple of months... I have barely had time to think twice about much of anything, let alone sit down and get on here.
Now that Easter is past, and my kids are starting *fingers crossed* to get a bit healthier, I am hoping that I might be a bit more regular on here, but the possibility for erratic postings still exists. Do with that what you will, but I am hoping to get a post or two up before the weekend.
Oh man that sounds like a whole thing. I hope the kids feel better, and the move goes smoothly! No worries about erratic posting - now that I know what's going on I can expect it more (like Ancian with the lack of Laptop). I just didn't want anyone to have vanished, cause I love you guys.

As part of my continued duties to keep you guys updated, the PDF for Book 2 has come out, so I'll be sure to pick that up soon and see what more I can plan ahead for. It's a long ways off so nothing to worry about, but we ought to be progressing into the meat of Book 1 rather shortly. :)

As I said in the other game, I am still pretty hit or miss, as packing and moving stuff is getting super hectic. However, I will try and be a bit more active than I have been the last couple of weeks. Sorry for the extended absence... now, to see what I have missed lol.

As an aside, though we still haven't had combat yet we're getting a bit into things - is there anything I can change about my DM style that might make the game more interesting / engaging? Inactivity for life reasons I get, but if there's something I can do to improve the game, definitely let me know. It's rather unusual for me to DM something, and I'm not enormously comfortable doing it.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around this past week or so, but it was our big moving week. We are now officially moved, though far from settled, but things will at least calm down a bit, and I will be around quite a bit more. Just letting you know.
