The two monngrelmen start howling and shrieking, as they remain behind their barricades, their clawed misshapen fists ready to strike you should you come into range.
Goron moves 20' up carefully. He spots a door behind the two mongrelmen, behind which he thinks he hears movement.
Sana's Ready action is wasted this round.
Cao, Levelle, and Tomas may post their actions to end Round 1.

The northernmost mongrelman screams in pain as Tomas' missiles hurt him but he holds his position.
Round 2:
With both the dwarf and Cao moving toward them, the mongrelmen remain behind the relative safety of the barricades, their arms raised with clubs to attack the nearest enemy in range!
Party is up! If you get within range of the mongrelmen, their readied actions will go off.

Levelle moves up behind Cao and offers him a small blessing of magic. Close to behind Cao and cast "Guidance"

Cao bristle in thanks but otherwise waits to see if the creatures respond to the caster's magical assault.

Sana calmly watched the events of the battle unfold, considering her options... and whispered under her breath as she followed along at the back of the group. "Lw'nafh'ai." She'd timed it carefully, following along at the end of the Mongrelman's actions - but instead of desperation for help, what she was conjuring was a similar noise... like one changing their mind and deciding that the issue could be handled on their own after all.
Cast: Ghost Sound (Will DC 14 disbelieves)

Goron moves solidly ahead accepting their blows as he swings his own hammer at them!!!

The mongrelmen stop their howling at the sound of the noise and wait to attack the dwarf or strange creature approaching them.
The mongrelmen's attacks go off, when Goron moves into position, one of the blows smashing bone!

Cao surges forward to aid the dwarf, moving to best position to attack the remaining mongrelman the eidolon offers a snapping attack of its powerful beak.

Sana quietly crept closer to the enemy, whispering under her breath and using her Mage Hand to lift up a small rock from the ground. She pointed forward a moment later to send it hurtling through the air - and if it wasn't the most powerful weapon, well, she just had to make do with what the gods had granted her. She wasn't a warrior anyway, and her magic was probably best saved for a different encounter, but she still wanted to do whatever she could to help.
Cast: Mage Hand (on Rock - shooting through the air before going out of range)
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 for Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Unfortunately, her aim was still... not quite the best. Bleh.

Levelle's blow kills the remaining mongrelman. However, you hear more sounds and it sounds like more mongrelmen may be coming.

As they talked, Sana quietly hurried forward, checking over the bodies of the guards. A strong part of her believed that this was important to do - if nothing else, their equipment (and any extra surprises they had) should explain a lot about what they could expect to face further in... and they probably didn't have forever, so learning as much as they could, as fast as they could, was important.

"We are here already are we not?" Goron queries in some slight amusement.
"It'll be a shame to turn back now that we have come so far. THe way out could be through here."
A few moments as he studies the mongrelmen.
"They looked lightly armed and these are the guards. Likely the rest inside are similar but let us not discount the fact that there are cultists among them and are likely better armed. Push forward by TOrag's Grace and if need be, we shall fall back here." Looking at each of his companions in turn. The fire in is veins rising as he enters Evil's Den.

Levelle nods as she brushes the back of Cao's neck. Cao will stay near you as we enter.
Levelle shifts her hands on her spear and nods, ready to follow.

Sorry for delay.
Other than their clubs, Sana sees no appreciative treasures of any kind on the dead mongrelmen.
In the back, as the party advances, you hear muted cheers from the 3 NPCs accompanying the party, with Aravashnial asking for a play by play of the battle, and Horgus constantly saying, "The only good mongrelman is a dead one."
Meanwhile, Goron and Cao rush through the door, to see 2 more mongrelmen, obviously recently awakened, sneer at the party. The lingering smells of cooked meat and rank bodies hang in the air. Ten bedrolls, each piled with coarse blankets and animal furs, surround a fire pit filled with glowing goals. Tanned hides hang stretched on the walls, each crudely painted with scenes of deformed humanoids hunting giant vermin in caves.
Initiative:
Mongrelman: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
Cao: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

"Six more..." Sana muttered under her breath, noting the extra bedrolls. Of course, that was assuming the two from before would normally sleep here, but... hm. "Lw'nafh ph'geb!" she chanted, pointing to a rock on the ground nearby.

An arcane hand gripped the rock, then shot it forward and towards the closest enemy. Still not the most powerful attack ever, but... hey. A rock to the head was still a rock to the head, and goodness knew there were plenty of those around to toss.

Goron sees that the mongrelmen are still up. A Swift charged propeled by stout legs, sends his heavy Long Hammer this time weeping in from an over head bash aided by his Long Hammer, finding its longer shaft more conductive to this attack.
Move and attack with Long Hammer. Reach Weapon 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 202d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 2) + 4 = 12

Goron's hammer drives through the mongrelman breaking his legs and then its spine, as it collapses in a heap. The second mongrelman has fear on its face, but suddenly, two more mongrelmen burst through the door to the south and he finds courage to move in and attack Goron, bashing the dwarf across the head!
Club: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Goron has taken 16 damage (8 damage from first room and now 8 more) and is down to 5 hps btw.

Sana darted back, moving between Levelle and Cao so she could get closer to Goron. Their dwarven companion had proven time and again that he was a sturdy sort, but even he could take a nasty blow - and judging by that last hit, he might not be able to take much more. It wasn't as effective to cast healing magic in combat as it would be outside of it, but that would scarcely matter if the most dependable warrior in their team fell and left them easier prey for the enemy... "Ehye'bthnk!"

The severely hurt mongrelman, blasted twice by Tomas, withdraws from the room and out of sight of the party.
The remaining two mongrelmen (one severely hurt at 3/14 hps) attack Goron and Cao, but both attacks miss!

Raising his hammer, Goron advances towards his latest foe. His blood fired up with the prospects of bringing the wrath of Torag down upon these heathens!
He knew very well the travelling and time they have spent in this tunnels would have sapped their morale and even though he wasn't the best of leaders, he knew that a victory would raise everyone's morale. It maybe all they need to push themselves and reach their goal of the outside world.
Even if he half expected that the world they knew might be in smoking ruins but deeper inside, even he hoped that all was fine and the invaders were pushed back. That light of hope was all that everyone of them needed.
