Knoxville eh.. I live in Chattanooga..
Agro, i think were rolling as if Nimh has came back and reported to come forward, so pretty sure its ur go in the game thread..

Nimh Yelloweyes |

It's fine to DMNPC Nimh if I'm away too long, first off.
I'm in San Francisco, PST.
As well, I work nights, though I can sometimes post as I work in. Nightclub, and there are lulls between slinging cosmos. I usually get up around noon ( It's 1 now).
Btw, did I mention that Prince is playing yesterday/today. I'm more of a Death/Black Metal sort of guy, but it was a pretty amazing show.
I can post freely for the next 6 hrs or so, then an hour of busy, then on/off as time permits@ night. Days are pretty free, as I mentioned.
Regarding language: Nimh thinks of himself as a Gnome, pretty much, so his default language is Gnomish. When talking to the others ( Besides Agromite) he switches to Common, obviously.

Um... I'm in Victoria, Australia, which is GMT +10, which means for EST I'm +14. So your 7pm is my 9am. Fortunately, I'm on often at most times, depending on how busy I am. An iPhone helps, as does being a musician and keeping strange hours. This post, for example (you do the math!).

I took a peek at their thread up to the cave, it seems there's some hostility b/t the witch and the cleric lol.. Not surprising one worships a god and the other some wierd mysterious force..

Ha! Started skimming your group's progress, to see if there was as much party conflict. Looks like we've already been spied on. :)
We all should be careful not to read too far ahead of where we are with our own grouos-the meta knowledge could affect our decisions.
I am excited to see which of our parties fare better, though. I hear it is a killer dungeon.

I have just made a proposal in my group, and I want to repeat it here, and know what you think...
What would you think if I took over?
I think its a shame to let our effort go to waste, and I would love to continue the game... with a couple conditions:
a) Let my character continue in play, as a GMPC
b) Join both groups, so I don't have to deal with 2 groups
Of course, if our dear master returns, better, but in case he doesn't, what do you think?

So it's been 7 days since his last post. In his defense he did say "Finals Week." Granted a heads up would be nice but a day or two grace would be fair.
That being said, I'm down for a big group if it comes to that, but you'd have to amp up the CR of encounter's substantially at least until attrition kicked in.

Old Willow |

I also have the worlds largest dungeon. I havnt looked at it in over three years but i could take over a group. I would not retire Willow tough, given the nature of the dungeon within 2 or three lvls the storyline will stop overlapping so I wouldnt be spoilered passed a certain point. I worry that a group of 12 for an online game would lead to troublesome combats with way too many actors. I also offer to DM. So both DMs can profit from an unspoilered adventure, we could trade a player. I have Willow and Krieger available for WBL.

I say give him at least another week. That is two weeks total. Ample time in case of life crisis.
I am fine with a large group. Maybe instead of orcs, we find dead orcs, and both parties. One entered a half hour before, on the same mission, and just have not left the room yet?

Aurora Silverbow |

Large group would lead to a single battle lasting a week when it's acutually only afew rounds, or waiting for something to happen or a specific character to post.
Also makes it redudndat when there's multiple rogues checking for traps, mutliple area of effect spells that have to avoid twice as many party memebers etc.
The Two group trade off idea is the best one so far.

Yeah im also not liking the prospect of a 12 player group, simply because ive run a 9 player group in real life (big circle of friends wanting to play and me being the only one willing or capable of DMing). It could take forever to get through a round, and thats in normal play...PbP would take forever.

Amaronna, Stoneschild |

I agree - 12 is an incredibly large number, and the game would break down with the weight of so many PCs.
I also own the WLD, but I haven't read through it in years. I'll throw my hat in the ring if we really need another DM as well, though I'll admit I'm not sure I'm up for running what would likely be a PbP for the rest of my natural life!
