@Tristen loved the post, but this is what I read:
-You're all fools!
-I nominate myself.
-Oh wait I've had too much to drink, never mind that KILL THE ALIEN!
In all honesty Wowbagger took a gambit saying he had a special role. One of two things happens now.
Either he gets mauled by a wolf and hanging would be moot since he's innocent. Or a few rounds go by with neither a baner saving someone or him being killed by a wolf and we simply confirmation hang him to see if he was telling the truth and hope he'll leak info if he's got it.
Both outcomes are good in my book. Thanks for the well wishes Taraz you won't be the only one leaving someone else is gotta die first cycle too. I have seen crazier swings before and I'm not against swinging my vote in your favor should a credible alternative presents itself both RP wise and logically. You're never out of the fight till your dead so good luck to you as well, as is you're still in this thing and you're certainly not out of wierwood yet. If you do go down go down swing'n.

I am confused. Before we started, I asked about voting and Ryuko said s/he would be posting votes from Private Messages only. Or was that only for special roles? Because that was not how I read it.
Keep in mind that if there is more than one werewolf, they end up 'voting' too. I believe that is what was meant about votes via PMs. In every werewolf game I've seen the public votes and accusations were integral to the experience...
Oh, and I'm really loving the RP. For whatever reason, I can get behind this version of the professor much more than the aristocrat. Keep up the awesome posts everyone! It's a shame about Lorelei not joining us, I was looking forward to her being one of the more interesting characters to see RP'd.

I would think the Baner might have believed Wowbagger to be a wolf and therefore pointless to protect, either that or (s)he was protecting the Professor, maybe.
The other mason, well might have either seen the writing on the wall - or been the other player that didn't join us? Anyway it's the wolves we need to concentrate on.
Dr. Lugwaude Lächelnschiefe
Still had Wowbagger been the scryer and the Baner grab his back.
Bam! instant invulnerable scryer who can walk around town and be like "Yo so I'm the scryer check out what I know. You got my back Baner, cool bro thanks" *telepathic fist bump*
I was hoping for a nightmare scenario to go down on the wolfies and I'd make the popcorn and watch things descend into abyssal levels of chaos and shenanigans.
Turns out he was a Mason so it's not a huge loss, but man that would have been fun to watch.
Pretty much the only reason I jumped on the Taraz bandwagon to ensure Wowbagger didn't get enough votes to get hung. Plus the RP was very appropriate. Wolfies got lucky and the Baner is loon to not set that up.
Vorian Ritter
Sorry Tristen/DarkestHeart for the vote, wow great character -completely different to Red Robert!
QFT. I had read through the other adventure, though I wasn't part of it.
Gives me a hard time wondering whether Vorian should recur or if I should make someone new if there's another game in the future.

Heh. I would have liked to see him bluff it. Just announce that he's the scryer and bluff about the results long enough for the actual scryers to do their work while the baner protects him. Would have been great, and probably bought him a few more rounds.
@Wowbagger: I was really looking forward to seeing some creative insults... hopefully the next game has a premise that will let you bring Wowbagger back for a third encounter.

Holy F! I had to leave for a function yesterday right before the votes were tallied and the data network in my area died leaving me no access to the game 'til this morning. This is quite the surprise.
Having 2 villagers dead is going to hurt us a lot. As a bonus though we can look at it like 2 villagers and 1 werewolf since Lorelei wont be showing up. We can think of it as "we killed a werewolf".
I have to catch up now, I'm getting behind on my posts.
A question I wasn't 100% on. Are players allowed to PM each other and talk about things?
Yes. So long as you continue to vote in public and post on a regular basis.
Whitey McWhite
I am amazed how my characters drift away from the original concept and take on a life of their own. Yeah, sorry about that Professor.
I know what you mean. I was gonna play Vorian as a d-bag salesman all throughout, but it seemed to make more sense to make him remorseful.
Same here. Whitey was designed as a sneezing, allergy ridden albino and I haven't done anything with that so far.
Simon Shrewsbury
Ditto on the character gaining a life of their own, I hadn't envisioned the remorseful aspect at all when starting the game. The character development and interaction has really made for a great experience, this is my first diceless game and it's been super fun.
Professor Alessandra Devries
Yep, I love how the flavor of the game has taken over. In the aristocrat game, accusations were flying left and right and everyone else was out for themselves. Here we have a close-knit small town with people overwhelmed by remorse and denial. It's hard to make IC accusations in this one and not seem like a paranoid psychopath.
I hope the next game is Mafia flavored, should be interesting with this crowd.

Bushwhacked! 3 votes in 30 minutes... I guess I'll let someone else kick things off if I survive this round.
I'm a bit stuck between the safe logical vote which is against Prof. A due to Tristen voting against you and you voting against me. Should I vote for Tristen he might drop his for you and then seal my own fate.
However from a RP perspective the good doctor would hate to hang someone of an intelligent mind and as a I player I don't really suspect you. He's likely to believe those displaying fervent emotion have much to hide.
So I do believe you might still get by, but knowing what I am I don't much care if I'm hung. The game is fun, but I know my role in the game and it only means bad news for the majority of you lot if I die.
Good luck.
Dr. Lugwaude Lächelnschiefe
Was it me who you think is speaking up? Last I checked villager is a role as well.
I'd prefer not to be mauled horribly to death, but I'm not above expressing my apathy towards being hung there's not much to lose or gain from it, though.
I am however rooting for prof. A. We need to balance out the sex ratio a little. Plus, I dig reading her posts.
...I'll bite,.....
Interesting choice of words. Careful now. ;)
Professor Alessandra Devries
What is the Baner smoking?!
First Wowbagger, then Eldon? Things are looking grim...
I stand by my earlier post about the statistical value of lynching, but in this case I'm not going to criticize. I was certain that I was going to end up in a noose!
Taraz the Wastrel
Taraz, really excellent posting throughout.
Thanks, Bruce!
Despite my early exit, I have enjoyed reading the thread. And as far as RP ability, my hat's off to you Professor A. Your way with words is clever and moving. Even as a haunting spirit (lol) I find that I am undecided if I would vote for you were Taraz still alive despite Eldon's visions.
You are all doing an excellent job in addition to the Professor. Whoever the wolves are are doing a great job hiding it, heh heh.

He walks outside with a tray of pies in his hand; "I have meat pies and apple pies for all!" he declares in a loud jovial voice.
One of the oddest (from an American perspective) foods I've had while living in England has been meat and apple pie. As in, apple pie with pork sausage in it. Has anyone else come across this? It wasn't bad, but that sweet/savory combination can be a bit of a surprise.
EDIT: Changed quote from Whitey to Dan
Simon Shrewsbury
On several occasions I ate my fill of pies at a wonderful pie shop in the town of Conwy in Northern Wales. They had all kinds of variety, the turkey/cranberry and the chicken/mushroom were especially good. I have a photo of the display case with all the pies and every time I look at it the craving returns, I seriously could have eaten there every day for the rest of my life, DELICIOUS!
Simon Shrewsbury
@Everyone except Simon: Shame on you for peeping! Show some manners! Go on, get out! What would your mothers say...
Hands down the funniest use of the spoiler tab I've seen to date!

They're good, but not quite as nice as pork & apple sausages! I find the new (classic) American Pepsi hilarious - 'now with real sugar', but it's better than the abomination that shops try to pass off as Mountain Dew.
