"Th' stories..they ain't jes ta frighten the children," the old woman hisses. "they be real! An' if ye go into th' old ruins tonite, ye'll find out...like sooo many other brave souls who never returned."
Her breath stinks like rotten onion as she leans in close to you. Her hair is a nest of gray tufts bound in a dirty rag, and her one good eye gleams in the light of the moon. She points a bony finger at each of you.
"Ye've been warned. No gold reward is enough fer what yer doin', mark my words." With that, she totters off down the street, cackling to herself.
You are left to ponder...how did this old crone know anything about the Baron hiring you? How did she know of the rewards of gold he promised to find his missing daughter? And - more importantly - how did she even find you, since you've been riding half of the day from the Baron's keep to get to this gray little village on the edge of nowhere. No matter, in the end. You have a job. Teenage girl, handsome farmhand, it was an old story. The Baron is paying you extra to return her by morning. All of your leads have pointed you to this village, and some shrewd questions and quick deduction have led you to believe the two are hiding out in the old ruins on the hill.
"It's where all the young 'uns go ta hide," they said.
All that remains is to head up the hill, find the girl, and get back to your reward. Good thing the light of the full moon is bright and clear...

"It would have been more helpful to say which stories are real," Bubo comments, watching the old woman go. "Let's do this quickly. I doubt lodgings in said ruins would be comfortable."

There is an old road that leads out of the village. The directions were very clear: follow the road as it bends away north, down through the bog and upwards. The ruins of the old temple rest uneasily at the top of that hill.
A chill wind blows as you follow the worn track. For an hour you walk, trying to keep to the road in the middle of the night. Bits of stone pavers, a moss encrusted broken column, the broken remains of a roadside shrine are all that remains to guide you.
Soon the dark shape of the hill looms ahead. Atop the crown can be seen the jagged stone of ruined temple of sorts, the purpose lost in the darkness. The climb is slow, even in the light of the moon, as the hillside is thick with brambles. The chill breeze bites at the top of your climb. Moss covered and ancient, the ruined temple is a gray mass of rubble and broken walls. Just the sort of place to hide out in - if you needed a place to hide.
Perception checks, please.

She stops suddenly, motioning the others to do the same
"Something... is in there, it doesn't smell right, it smells of death... better go in prepared to fight. We can't just wander in there" her tail was twitching, her ears swiveling around

"That doesn't bode well for the ones we've to save," Bubo points out, drawing a cold iron dagger from its sheathe. "After you, then."

You step through the broken, moss encrusted walls of the temple. The sight that greets you makes your blood run cold: a gray figure, emaciated and covered in rags, stands over two smaller figures. The gray creature looks up at and grins horribly.
"Ah. I see...you have...found us." Its voice is a terrible rasping sound, much like a the stone lid of a tomb scraping against the base as it opens. "They said...you would come...but you are...too... laaate."
The thing's eyes glow red in the moonlight. As you watch, it raises its arms wide, and the two figures rise up. They were once a young boy and a girl, but now their faces are twisted, and their eyes are red to match those of their new master...
Round One: Init = Leena, Fin, Bubo, creature, KitArr, spawn. Map link is at top. If you are in a grouping of PCs (Lena, Fin, Bubo in this case), the actual order you post in doesn't matter, I will make sense of it. Please use the coords on the map, you can RP your action, then ooc the gritty details like coords. READY. GO!!!

"Unfortunate," Bubo comments. "I don't suppose you would be willing to relinquish your hold on their bodies? Would be preferable to bring proof of their fate back."
He moves to the right as he talks, stepping past Finnian as the hand not holding a dagger digs through his bandolier to retrieve an extract. He drinks it after he finishes speaking then returns the vial to its place. "I don't suppose you are acquainted with an old woman?"
Move to N-8, cast True Strike.

Finnian |

Finnian moves up slightly and prepares for the initial rush.
"Anyone can kill children, foul creature. Let's see how you fare against my steel."
Move to L6. Ready an attack for the first creature that moves into a threatened square (using Power Attack).

Leena Almadill |

Leena bolsters her strength and her sword begins to emit a faint light after a quick flourish.
"Leave Now. This is my only warning.", Demands lena as sh moves forward.
Swift action arcane pool + enhancement, Standard action Cast bull's strength, Move action move to M7

Bubo Sraga |

"Very well."
Bubo steps up and quickly mixes a volatile concoction, hurling it at the spawn's master with magical aim.
Bomb (ranged touch): 1d20 + 7 + 20 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 20 - 2 = 37 -2 from range penalty
Damage (fire): 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 2) + 5 = 11
Move to L-7, throw bomb at the master. And almost forgot, but knowledge to identify!
Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Finnian |

Finnian moves up to the first spawn.
"I really hate undead" He says with a slight shudder before attacking.

Leena steps up and with a quick chant and her sword glows even more.

The undead creature hisses in anger as the fire of Bubo's bomb scorches it. 'At them...my children...' it groans. Then it gestures, and disappears!
Fin's sword thrust goes through the spawn facing him, but it does dim the fire in it's undead eyes.
Leena: Bubo took L7, so I put you in L6. Kit is up!

Kit will move to near where she had seen him.... Move to G5 (Scent for the win)
Then lash out at him, hopefully from where she can flank him

In an instant Leena leaves a multicolored trail behind her as she ends up right behind the rightmost spawn and delivers 2 quick slashes.
Spell Combat Casts Bladed dash to move to I7 and attack the wight at i6 twice, once with the attack from bladed dash and athe second with spell combat. Swift action Spell Recall Bladed Dash.
Spell combat Bladed Dash: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 12 + 2 + 4 - 2 = 23
Damage Bladed Dash: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Going to let you pull that action back, both spawn are down. 'Crumples to the ground' and 'destroys the foul creature' are essentially the same. ;) I wasn't clear on which one died, but they both did: Fin got one, Leena the other.

Ah, thank you. Drinking my Alchemical Allocation extract as a standard action and getting out my Elixir of Vision as a move action.
Bubo quickly takes out a prepared vial from his bandolier and drinks it before reaching into his haversack and pulling out another bottle.

Unfortunately not See Invisibility. An Elixir of Vision just provides a bonus to perception checks.
