oops, just realized I didn't update my AC after swapping out the shield. Changed now on both my char sheet and the cool new map bubble.

DM Aku |

So, let's get to business!
I next few months (in game time), you will be trained by the Master. As consequence of that, you'll earn a aditional trait.
I've some suggestions here:
“Asmodeus is with you.” Adrastus Thorn indoctrinates you into the deeper mysteries of worshipping the Prince of Hell. Whenever you channel energy, you gain a +1 trait bonus to the save DC of your channeled energy.
“Deception is a tool. Master it.” Adrastus Thorn teaches you the subtle arts of deception and how to sense when they are being used against you. You gain a +1 trait bonus to Bluff and Sense Motive.
“Discover what is real and what is illusion.” Adrastus has taught you to see through deceptions and to never lie to yourself. You gain a +2 trait bonus on saving throws against illusions.
“Fear nothing save our dread lord.” Adrastus Thorn has shown you fear and taught you to master it within yourself. You gain a +2 trait bonus on saving throws against fear effects.
“Focus strengthens your will.” Adrastus Thorn drills you on ways to avoid magic that seek to take control of your mind and divert you from your mission. You gain a +2 trait bonus on saving throws against charm and compulsion effects.
“Let us perfect your favorite spell” Adrastus Thorn drills you again and again in the use of one particular spell. Pick one spell. This spell’s effects manifest at +1 caster level.
“Quiet as death” The Cardinal trained in the arts of being silent and stealthy. You gain a +2 trait bonus to Stealth checks.
“Strike first, strike ruthlessly and thus be victorious” Cardinal Thorn has taught you never to shirk or hesitate in a combat. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Initiative checks.
“Wear your armor like a second skin.” You have drilled extensively in wearing armor in combat. When you wear armor of any sort, reduce that suit’s armor check penalty by 1 to a minimum check penalty of 0.
“You shall be my angel slayer.” Adrastus thorn spends exhausting amounts of time teaching you about good celestials, their strengths and weaknesses. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Knowledge (planes) and you can make untrained checks about good-aligned celestials and receive a +1 trait bonus to any damage roll you make against them.
What I want you all to do is: take those as model and create one that fit your char. Just remember that bonus do not stack! If you already have a +1 trait bonus on intimidate, creating a new trait that gives you another +1 is meaninless. It will not stack! (Even if the rules says they should, I'm saying otherwise. It will not stack!) the purpose of those traits is not to make you better at one particular thing, but to make you have more options (But you can still make it so you are better at one thing you already is good at). Anyway, i'll give you guys a week (Real world time) or until you finish the nine lessons to work your traits. Send me a private message with your suggestion and we'll work to make it happen in game. If you do not want to create one, just pick one of those I posted. Others traits (From paizo) are not allowed at this point.
It's up to you now. Create one or pick one of those I posted here. Have fun!

DM Aku |

Also, just one more note:
I was avoiding taking a closer look at each of your crunchs, but it has been difficult to keep track of your abilities and prepare myself so I can solve any doubt that may appear. Over this weekeed, you may receive some PMs from me, about your crunch. :)

DM Aku |

I'm reconfiguring the Shortkeys again.
Confim for me your bonus:
Initiative:
Damien: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Eldred: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Johan: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Malgrin: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Perception:
Damien: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Eldred: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Johan: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Malgrin: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

ELDRED CROFTER |

Eldred will be up for: “Wear your armor like a second skin.” You have drilled extensively in wearing armor in combat. When you wear armor of any sort, reduce that suit’s armor check penalty by 1 to a minimum check penalty of 0 or maybe “Quiet as death” The Cardinal trained in the arts of being silent and stealthy. You gain a +2 trait bonus to Stealth checks.
I need to think on it. I need to be quiet and mobile and the first lends itself more to it short and mid term... until Celestial plate becomes available but as its like 30k thats gonna be a long time coming.

DM Aku |

Fighting Defensively as a Standard Action: You can choose to fight defensively when attacking. If you do so, you take a –4 penalty on all attacks in a round to gain a +2 dodge bonus to AC until the start of your next turn.
Don't forget to add the pen/bonus on your combat actions.

DM Aku |

Malgrim Ironskin |

Dramatis Personae looks useful.
I want to say up front no retcons is fine, but want this noted for future either as simply increasing awareness of the relevant rule or establishing a house one.
I am correct in thinking the snakes had to move through someone's square to get where they are as there is no other route. You can't move through your enemies squares without an Acrobatic's check with a DC; unless you spend an action to Overrun (which also uses your standard).
The DC is 5 + opponent's CMD and if you attempt to move through an enemy’s space and fail the check, you lose the move action and provoke an attack of opportunity.
This is especially relevant for Malgrim as acrobatics is rather key to him :).

DM Aku |

Well, here am I looking bad for trusting real table top games. xD
I've been learning those last days that lot's of things I had for granted while playing table top games were wrong. And I always took then as right and never checked.
I'm the games i play at home, if you fail the test, you can still move, but you cause an AoO.
Guess I'll need abandon all my 'sure' knowledge from pathfinder and read it all again! xD

Damien King |

The biggest one that comes to mind right now is thinking that you can charge through an ally's space.

Johan Hale |

I like parts of that loot tracker, particulary the link to the original post. I hadn't considered the ID? column as we hadn't run into that yet but I suppose its relevant. I'll incorporate some of those features and layout into the existing one.

The biggest one that comes to mind right now is thinking that you can charge through an ally's space.
As in you can or can't? RAW you can't. You can move through an ally's space freely, but you need Dragon Style to charge through it. You probably meant that anyway :P.

DM Aku |

Head's up:
I'll be less active from now on.
University classes starts today. Even so, I'll try to check the boards more than twince a day.
Also, I'll be going to india this month (maybe in two weeks time) and I still do not know if I'll be able to use a computer there.

Edit: I'm not a unfair DM, but when you post your action using both standard and move doing something, without thinking what the enemy that acts before you in the turn will do, it get really complicated to 'give' a free action to get the character out of a tight spot.
I know my grasp of rules are not that good. I know that I make mistakes. But if even then you feel like this is not a game for you, I'll understand you position and wish you good luck in your next gaming. No hard feelings at all.

Damien King |

Oh! Oh. Balls. My apologies. There was some confusion in the posts and such.
Eesh. If I'd known the snakes would be around me when I came to that third action, I'd have done something else. :P
It's Cackle, not Crackle, btw. y'know, as in "nyehhehehe I am a witch."

Malgrim Ironskin |

I think honestly, the lesson learnt here is wait for your impulse "block" before acting. We have Block A (Malgrim, Johan) that goes before the enemy and Block B (Damien, Eldred) who go after. Posting before your "block" is up often leads to confusion. That or label posts-

Loot spread sheet redone - let me know what you think.
g'night

ELDRED CROFTER |

lol - Oh where is the Grey Master when I need him?

ELDRED CROFTER |

The way we are all rolling I think we need a new god

Damien King |

This is why I play spellcasters. The rolls are all on the other side, nyehehe.
(The misfortune hex is paying off big time.)

DM Aku |

One more thing: When you act with your char and it involves movement, please update the map to represent what you have done. It get harder for me to follow what you are doing if you only declare a move, to not tell where are you moving and do not update the map.
Thanks.

Johan Hale |

Yeah, I think that misfortune hex is the only thing keeping us on our feet here!
I totally gapped on the positioning of Johan there. In future though, his backup weapon would be the cestus, not the heavy mace, so he doesn't have to drop the spear. Works in this case though, because the damage is the same on the mace and the spear.
Thanks for catching that... I shouldn't post after bedtime anymore :>

ELDRED CROFTER |

The best thing you can do short term is get some distance. Not so far that you cant get to us or they cant see you but far enough for Mal to draw them away and you to circle back.
Johan and I have a decent amount in the Con score and assuming we dont stabilise we have maybe 5-6 rounds before I start to panic.

Johan Hale |

Yep, If you guys can draw them away so we don't eaten, that'd be awesome.

Johan Hale |

Hmm, good thought... <scrolls up to read Villian points post again>. . .there's, nothing in there about forcing rerolls etc on others, just giving bonuses for your own actions, though burning it to turn that crit into a regular hit would be a good thing right about now.

Johan Hale |

You go you mad "20" rolling machine you!

Damien King |

Sorry, guys, I'm going to wait until tomorrow to post. I'm really tired tonight and just not up to it.

Johan Hale |

Ack! More "almost crits" from Malgrim! The tension is killing me...

DM Aku |

I do not know exactly how things turn out in pathfinder about critical and sneak attack. I know we do not have anyone with sneak on the party, but I'll use the rules I'm more familiar in this case.
Not subject to critical hits or flanking. Does not take additional damage from precision-based attacks, such as sneak attack;
1-Elementals
2-Swarm Subtype
3-Oozes
Not subject to critical hits. Does not take additional damage from precision-based attacks, such as sneak attack;
1-Constructs
2-Undead
3-Oozes Thanks Eldred
4-Incorporeal creatures
Not subject to flanking:
1-Dragons
2-Creatures with blindsight.
Dragons have blindsight instead of blindsence.
The others about ability score damage/drain I’ll not change.
Edit: Add Swarm Subtype

ELDRED CROFTER |

Compare the properties of the ooze creature type to that of undead.
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/rules-for-monsters/creature-types#TOC-Ooze
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/undead
Oozes call out a specific immunity to crits and precision damage. Undead list a lot of immunities but crits and precise hits are not among them. One of the things PF did with helping rogues and martials was to increase the scope of creatures subject to crits and precision damage (ie sneak attack).

DM Aku |

I've given this some thought, and I'm being resistant to change out of normal 3.5 rules.
In my spare time, I'm re-reading the prd document, trying to adapt to pathfinder rules.
Ignore that last house rule posted. Let's roll with have we have in pathfinder.
(But I may still keep the dragons modifications, but for now that do not matter, you are still a long way from a dragon fight!)

DM Aku |

Thanks Eldred. I may still get some wrong things, in those cases, tell me here in Discussion. Try to move all your doubts, questions and coments here.
I'll update here What I have covered from rules in pathfinder:
Today I'm reading: Skills
@Damien, when posting your actions, use the Round Marker, as Malgrim does. :)
Edit: In Malgrim action, he was not able to confirm the critical.
I was going to redo the post, but then I saw there was no need for it.
