I hope this reveal—and Cappy's subsequent escape—don't feel too out-of-nowhere or railroaded. If it's any comfort, I actually wasn't expecting Cappy to get found out for at least one more night!
Well, we knew he could...teleport? Dimension Door? Whatever that is. So if he wanted to escape, not like we can stop him. I’m not even sure we could win a fight like that. XD
Oh, I suspected him from the beginning. I'll admit I didn't expect quite this, but I suspected he was not safe to leave around Trin--I'd just expected Rex getting his armor on to take long enough for us to scout ahead and then get back earlier.

Going forward, Winter term starts next Monday. During Winter term, my guaranteed post days will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday—on other days, it'll likely be a bit spottier due to classwork, though I do hope that once I'm in the swing of things I can establish fairly reliable posting even at the start of the week.
Isamu would have volunteered to lead, but I didn't think he could really help the rest of the party sneak around while in fox form, given that he can't talk while he's a fox.

I think I'll be using my lifeline soon. :D I'm actually kind of excited for this.
Though Isamu being totally lost in the forest after escaping the gangles would have been interesting, too.
So, my two ideas for Isamu are for him to either burst through the 'roof' of the den he's in by assuming his true form, then using the brief moment the gangles are startled to resume fox form and dart off into the night... or to just make a run for it and hope they roll low on their grapple attempts. I'm not sure what I'd roll for the first one--a strength check, I guess?
Either way, I doubt he'll succeed, so yes, lifeline use is probably going to be necessary.
I think I'd say you make a fairly tough Strength check, and probably take some damage. If you fail, you'll be stunned, and lose any surprise advantage.

Another week of spotty posting, I'm afraid—midterms are coming up. I shouldn't have too much trouble, but I want to make sure I stay on top of them. In the meantime, feel free to leave some input in your respective scenes. I'll move things along promptly.

Okay, I see why I keep missing Thursday—my schedule actually got set to Friday-Saturday-Sunday, so I wasn't getting the Thursday reminders. Some quality schedule maintenance right there. Blah.

I am also considering changing my schedule to posting mainly during the weekdays, since I'm finding my schedule management is actually better when I'm at the dorm, but I'll hold off on that for now.

I'm trying to remember where we'd run across pineapple and a barrel before... I have vague memories of doing so, but not what was going on.
Yeah, I'm mixing previous scenes, so confusion is fair. Pineapple source (probably not relevant, but just to establish that pineapples grow in this forest). Barrel (probably a bit more relevant).

Have I mentioned how much I appreciate that this isn't a 'typical' fantasy world? I mean, having another Faerun or Golarion isn't bad, but it's fun having a more fairy-tale world for a change.
Thank you! It's sort of a mishmash of ideas from a setting my sister and I have been working on for a while now. I think that this chapter probably could have been better-organized in general, but it's been useful to get a feel for how I want to write the setting.
Alright, here we go into Finals Week. I'll aim to post tomorrow, and I should be able to maintain some level of activity (since I've got scenes going), but don't count on posts being too regular.

Sorry, I had to spend $40 and four hours I could've spent sleeping to be told that it'll cost me $2,000-4,000 to start taking Ritalin because I live in America, Land of the Free, nice and safe from those darn Canadian wait times.

After four years on the boards and a lot of eventful games I have finally reached a point were I can no longer continue at the pace I am currently at. While I still love the pathfinder system my motivation but the spark of creativity, the wonder of such finally crafted realms and characters, is starting to diminish. I don't know if this is a slump, a wall, or just the passage of time changing my interests. But I can no longer dedicate the same time and energy that I used to. It is with a heavy heart that must withdraw my character from this game. I apologize the long delay and any inconveniences this creates. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.

It is late morning. To be clear, you don't have to take Ragnok up on his offer—I'm giving you the option to essentially delay what is likely to be the final confrontation if you do want to hide, but it's not the only choice.
Oh, I know--hence why I asked the time, as I would have answered differently if it were evening.
I'll try to get a post up this weekend, but it's going to be a roughly "once-a-week" schedule of posting for the next couple of weeks.
By the way, the wind's whisper is not specifically Lily's. Ragnok gave it to her because she and Isamu played the most active role, especially of the remaining PCs, in saving his birds—and because he figures a crimson crusader has a use for what can potentially function as a way to find out who's in trouble. That said, if Yeldrid or Isamu want it and/or Lily doesn't, it doesn't need to be bound to her necessarily.

I think it'd be fun if you ran him. I can do the stats, and I was thinking an owl would be appropriate given Isamu's lunar associations, but I think it'll be more fun if I'm not talking to myself. :D

The one nice thing for me about this being such a martial-focused party is I don't have to feel quite so bad about making y'all keep going like this, with fewer once-per-day abilities to worry about. :P
