Luther addresses the thug he has made fall. "You cannot rise, no matter how much you try this moment. You should surrender."

The thug will stay prone his entire round.

Krol will move up to behind Ava at I11 and cast mage armour on her.

I have them act the same time to save the DM headache, I assume you're fine with that.

Ava's AC is now 21

And I am not wearing rusty armor. I am wearing dead animals. I killz em m'self.

and Krol being a noble is wearing freshly made chainmail and Ava is...well...wearing nothing under that robe.

I believe it's the thug's turn, now.

Thug 3 is dead, thug 2 is on the floor due to a spell, and thug 3 is badly wounded.
--The thugs left, drop their weapons. Mercy! We give up! Who are you and what do you want?

Ava gives a disgusted snarl, claws out and ready.
"We're here to release these women, now who do you work for?" she snarls, blood still on her from the attack. "You make me sick. How many of these women begged for mercy before you killed them? How many of them begged for mercy before you beat the living daylights out of them? How many?!" she screams in a rage and lashes out with her claws at the badly wounded one.

1 claw 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

2 claw 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Krol runs over to her
"Calm down, Ava. Calm!" he squeeks up to her but she still remains over the bandit, claws out and teeth bared, panting hard and with a look of true rage on her face.

Ava: "How dare you keep people like some kind of house pet. I'll see you burn in the deepest, darkest pits of the Abyss for this!" she screams as Krol grabs hold of her arm and then something seems to come over her and she appears to calm down almost immediately and looks downcast before looking to the group. "I...I'm sorry everyone. I just...hate slavery so much..."

--Actually in this room there are no signs of any women at all, there is a flight of stairs going down in the north-east corner of the building...
Alright, alright, WHO are ye?The uninjured dwarf asks. You obviously are for working Lord Redwall, and you obviously aren't city guard...and you don't seem like another gang...

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

There may not be any other women in the room, but this place's reputation and the dwarves/derros's behavior towards Ava certainly vindicates the assumption of the more macabre.

Fearghus scowled at the dwarf, "An' I don' s'pose 't ever 'ccured t' y'e as mayhaps we be naught but a group a' folk concerned af'r th' plight a' others?"

The assumption is brought from the guards saying that women have gone in and out, the discussion with the Guard he stated that they have been expecting more women and the city guards stating that soils bags are often carried out, which Ava and Krol assume to be the dead bodies of the poor young women dragged into here. Makes sense for her over-acting if you know her past. I'll wait for others to comment on what just happened.

Male Human Ranger/1, Rogue/1

Durnak slowly look from one derro to another and then to Ava.
M'thinks y'alls not good folk, iffn it be's ma choice, y'all 'd be fert'lizer fer da plants. 'course y'all prob'ly poison da ground.

"You are our prisoners."
Luther helps restrain the prisoners and asks, "How many combatants altogether on the premises? How are they armed? How many women held against their will? Incorrectly answering these questions is not advised."

--Look, you know there are powerful people who didn't want you in here...and they are going to find out you broke in here and killed their guard...now obviously we can't stop you, but you aren't going to slaughter us are you?
--As your eyes have grown used to the dim lighting, you notice a pile of women's clothing in the room...and a couple of iron cages. The cages are empty. The stairs leading down end in a locked door.
-BAND BANG BANG BANG pause BANG pause BANG pause BANG BANG BANG
Comes from below your feet...
-There is a distinct smell of sickness and crowded bodies, and you can't help but wonder what is going on here.

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

"I ain' gonna say y'r life 'pens on it, but it could be all a' diff'rence in how good y'r life is later on!" Fearghus scowls once again, playing the bad sherriff to Luther's good.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Ava was about to go for him when Krol steps in the way.

"Sir, I do not care who these so called powerful people are, but rest assured if they wish to attempt to silence us we will be forced to hunt them down." he stops for a moment to let the man consider what he just said. "Perhaps you could tell us who these employers are so we might know where to strike next and we won't be so inclined as to smash your face in where we stand. Think about that." Krol and Ava make their way to the locked door, letting Ava attempt to force it open with a crowbar from the pack.

"If'n ye h'ain't got a key, whar's'it? S'pose it don't matter none, Durnak 'ere's key enough!" he chuckled at the thought of Durnak's "key". It rolls Sunder, not Disable Device!

Male Human Ranger/1, Rogue/1

Durnak shakes his head.

Shuddup yer trap scum.

Durnak steps forward and strikes the dwarf in the side of the head with the side of his axe.

I go over and begin to look at the door trying to figure out how difficult it would be to get the door open - using my axe if necessary.

-The door bursts open...and a terrible sight greets you.
The room is divided into two cells, with a narrow corridor down the middle. A small chimmney is the only source of fresh air...and there are no lights at all...It's too dark to see,

Darkvision:
There are almost 60 women in here, as the cells measure only 15 by 50 feet, they are overcrowded terribly. A few woman look dead, and most are wearing only rags...

-The stench of sickness and death greet your nose. It's a combination of stale blood, vomit and sweat...and who knows what. You can hear the sounds of coughing...

Luther has lead a sheltered life, he desperately asks Fearghus, "Detect evil on any of these left alive, I will take responsibility for any evil readings."
Luther gestures to the prisoners.
I haven't given my Boondock Saints lines in this thread yet.

Anna sits in the cell she found herself in, sitting on the ground, back to the wall, hugging her legs close. Hearing the door open, not sure what to expect, she waits to see what her captors plan, doing her best to hide amongst the ohters.

--This room is too dark, to see anything. It has no light...

elf women in the cell:
For several days, you had only seen light during...feeding, and selling. The dwarf jailers simply threw cheap bread through the doors of the cells, and jugs of water. Women had to fight and steal to get enough to live. Lucky for you, you been here only 4 days, but other women a few weeks. The women who were there the longest, were almost dead. Or were dead. In each cell a woman lies dead on the floor.

M Human Paladin 2; Init +2; Per +0; HP 24; AC 18, T 12, FF 16; F +5, R +2, W +3

When the door into the holding cells is opened to reveal complete darnkess, he fetches and lights a lantern I'm assuming such would be present in the outer chamber. When he sees what's inside, Fearghus blurts out, "Blessed Elk!"

Taking a moment to compose himself again - as much as possible, anyway - he speaks calmly to the room of imprisoned women, "My name is Fearghus, an' Luther an' the rest a' us 'ere're after bustin' the lot a' ye outta 'ere."

"Aye, Luther, 'm after thinkin' th'same." Fearghus begins Detecting Evil.

Turning to his other companions, "Durnak, it'd be right 'ppreciative I'll be if'n ye c'n get these 'ere women out a'fore we're all caught an' thrown in wi'em. Krol an' Ava, c'n ye look for any cloths or blankets - or 'specially food, I'm thinkin' - f'r these 'ere folk? Genisen, I'm sure Durnak could use some 'elp wi' all th'locks."

Blessed Elk! These poor women ain't in no shape to do much a' anythin'. Where'n th' high Heavens 're we s'pose t'take 'em all?

Krol has low-light vision, but if that's not enough then he's going to use up all 2 rounds of his ability as a summoner to tap into Ava's senses and see in the dark.

Krol takes a second to peer inside and is shocked by what he sees.
"We must help them." Krol then casts dancing lights, making magical floating purple orbs of light brighten up the area, though only as much as a torch as to not hurt the women's eyes. "We're here to save you all. Give us some time and we will free you all."

Ava isn't sure where to find clothing in this place, but she takes a good look around the warehouse for anything to help cover up these women.

Patting the arm of the human child beside her, "your faith can never be taken from you, and as long as you have that, you will be able to endure anything." Her fingers run through the young girl's hair and she rests her hand on her head. Fatigued from trying to keep as many of her fellow prisoners alive as possible, Serendipity smiles in the darkness of her corner of the cage. As she leans her head back and sighs, watching the approach of the 'saviors', the birthmark on her hand briefly gives off a feint glow of silvery light as she releases an invisible flow of divine energy to a handful of the women around her, eneough to keep many of them from dying. Praise be for the love of life, my strength to these poor children of the earth.

"It's about time you got here," she calls out at the display of purple spheres floating above their heads. She knows the guards would have just used lanterns.

--No evil detected, among the people (remember detect evil only shows creatures with 4HD unless divine casters)
--The cells are truely wretched, there was only a single drain in the middle of the cells...The majority of the women are ill.
--You can find clothes upstairs. They are dirty and dusty however...

I'm Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you!

Fearghus is extremely surprised to hear a voice calling out editorial commentary.

"Y'r pardon, m'lady, 'cuz we only learnt a' th' place yesterday. An' if'n ye'll hold on a mite longer, we'll have th' lot a' ye free. An' I admit, we'd no idear there's so many a' ye 'ere - 't'll make gettin' free that much more difficult. Is anyone from 'round 'ere that'd know a good place f'r us t'take ya'll an' make sure we'll all be safe?"

--Having realized they are actually getting free, the women begin to riot, crawling over each other, trying to get to the door...Some of them reach through the bars of the cell and try to grab you...people are screaming and crying...
--It's a fairly terrible scene, and if you don't get some order soon, people could start being hurt from the crush of people.

Luther seems to glow as he is agitated and speaks in a clear, resonant voice;
"I know you are rushing to get out, but by looking out for each other and sticking together, we can actually get you out more quickly. Do not risk your safety when you are so close to freedom."
The look of concern is clear on his face, especially when he realizes his delivery is off and his speech rings hollow in his ears somehow.
