"I'm in service of the Light-Weavers’ Guild and I'm operating under orders from guildmaster Z’mandrik himself.
The imbeciles of the Onyx Alliance disregard the rules of our city’s matron, the great Argrinyxia. She has forbidden the creation of any planar gateways without her express consent—consent only given in the form of one of her vaunted scales. Unable to retrieve such a blessing on their own, the alliance managed to trick one of great Argrinyxia’s whelplings into stealing such a scale. Now, that misbegotten child, the wyrmling Shadrixis, has been gifted a lair as an offering from the Onyx Alliance. Were you to retrieve the scale and slay the whelping, then it would be a simple matter to close the portal that intrudes on your world. Of course, this would also accomplish my goals."

Vanarog tries to remember what this kind of creature might be
"I thinks our goals are sssimilair, we sshould works together. We will retrieves the sscale. Ssshow us the lair and provide assistance and we will accomplish your goal aswell as our own"

GM Auke |

"My involvement must remain strictly confidential. As such, I can only guide you to the lair of Shadrixis. I cannot risk my involvement being discovered by the Onyx Alliance."
"The great wyrm knows of her wayward child’s dealings, but believes that his misbehavior is unworthy of her personal attention."

GM Auke |

"Is the little trueblood served by anyone or is it by itselvess ?"
"The Onyx Alliance provided Shadrixis a great spire to roost upon—a spire built on a hive of my people, destroyed by the alliance during one of their many expansions in the city. The umbral wyrmling is like most children of his species, indolent and insufferable. As a dragon, he wishes to be fawned over, but despises his lesser role in the great machine of Shadow Absalom. I do not suspect any servants to be with him, but even alone a wyrmling dragon is a formidable foe."

after having boredly observed the going onse with the rest of the group, the potential killing of a dragonling rouses Pethjun to action upon hearing:
Slaying a dragon-whelp will only proof our power in his eyes! DAHAK!
she lept up and roared:
"YESH! kill the strong and prove or power we should!"She quickly quipped back at:
Most dragons don't like that, even if they are not directly related.
With: And what is we tooks the whelpings corpse or a piece of it home with us outside of the Black ones territory?

GM Auke |

"You can take any part of Shadrixis with you."
A soaring edifice of darkened violet stone looms in the city’s skyline, some four hundred feet above. Jet-black dirt extends a hundred feet around the tower in a sizable mound that obscures the spire’s base. Engraved in the hills around the tower are strange symbols, each the size of a standing human. There are no visible entrances to the tower, though a single tunnel descends into the hill surrounding the spire.
See right side of the map
The underground tunnel opens up into what was once a vast circular chamber. Portions of the northwest and southeastern sections of the room have collapsed. Three pillars rise up twenty feet to a stone ceiling above, each of their sides covered in black marble polished to a reflective sheen. A perfectly spherical mirror floats in the air at the northern end of the space, roughly two feet in diameter. An audible hum emanates from the orb and echoes throughout the room.

Fazgyn doesn't find anything out of the ordinary.

GM Auke |

Fazgyn walks to the orb and throws a rag over the orb, this however seems to activate something! and the orb starts frosting over!

Everyone who's is bolded can state their action. Actions will be handled by time of posting except when you explicitly say otherwise.
There is currently nothing visible except for a humming orb.
Time to buff?

GM Auke |

Skyrahk draws her dagger and wand of cure light wounds as a precaution on her turn.
How long since we stepped through the portal? I had some 4+ hours buffs going
It's been a while, about 4 hours, so any 4 hour buffs cast after the last fight are still active, but anything shorter than 5 hours cast before that fight will be gone.

Ghosting Athrax and Varanog
Engashez cast mirror image
Athrax drinks his mutagen
Varanog casts mage armor
Fazgyn is looking past the black basalt pillar towards the orb, waiting to shoot at an enemy. In the shining surface of the pillar he can see his reflection, and his reflection can see him it seems! It draws a dagger and steps out of the pillar and attacks!
To Hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 for damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
The reflection has Illusionary doubles: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 that inhabit its square.

It looks like Fazgyn's reflection is stepping out of the mirror 4 times and attacks him with his own (reflection) dagger, right?
You identify these creatures as a soulsliver! Dangerous extradimensional shapechangers that lurk in the half-dimensions behind mirrors.
Anything specific you'd like to know?

![]() |

Normally I'd ask the coolest thing they could do..but I'm getting a feeling that might be the ability to move through mirrors and create doubles. ;). Do I know if they have any resistances/immunitues?
