I will really try to post for Astinos today about his cleansing ritual.

Nebibit approaches one of the priest's "Greeting I am Nebibit could you tell me a little bit about yourself and this place" She makes sure to observe any proper protacole that normally happens between priests ie bowing etc as she does this.

Well, I for one, am tired and a little beat up, so I will lie in one of the divans, eat a little bit of fruit, drink some of the wonderful ale that Kosan has discovered, and take a short nap, while my armor and weapons are cleaned.

Before nodding off, I ask one of the servants: "Is it possible to wash or bathe here? I am probably headed to my death soon, and would rather face it looking and smelling my best!"

Male Mountain Dwarf Fighter 8th Level (Dwarf Variant)

I talk to my attendant, the one ensuring that I partake of all the cleaning quantity of the "Water of Life from the Holy Staff of Living Grain", I ask him if he knows how the Water of Life from the Holy Staff of Living Grain was created and does he happen to have a recipe handy also does he have any good roasted meats about to go with this fine water of lie of theirs. How many fighters, Clergy, Magi, are gathered here, what lies within the big pyramid, What is their usual method of attack, stealthy, blitz, or a combination and what are their weakness’ in battle. If he gets me this information We can better prepare for the upcoming battle.

Greeting Nebibit Sanura, I am at your service. I was once called Umotah Tethis, Priest of Ra. This place, I know not how long we have been here, but at one time this place was but some caves in which we took refuge against our enemies; but we were killing in pursuit of our duty and languished here, after time unknown; we awoke, our mission incomplete; but the Mighty Ra forbid us to venture forth; for when we went into the embrace of his radiance; we began to burn; so we retreated; we dug out this cavern and built this monument to Ra; that he allow us passage and fulfullment of our quest and release of from this undead binding and guide our souls home to the might river Nile. So; we have waited; and guarded; and waited for Prophesy to be fulfilled; we here are those sure and true; but some; some failed; some went made; they had to be...restrained; some killed; they are over in that other tower; sadly; I believe our magus and priest of Isis is going mad; falling in despair; strange magics do we see come forth from that tower; but he quells the Lost and has bound the Forbidden.

does that answer your question Priestess? in return; answer for me a question; are you and yours going to aid us to finish our quest and find our eternal reward?

The ale that Kosan has; is the holy drink and is inside the magic circle in which he sits; so there is none among those where you are; but you could ask for some....

The drink is created with prayer; we pray until it appears. I could perhaps teach you the prayer, but you would have to become an initiate of Horus. As for meat; we have none sactified or edible, if you like; we could perhaps pray for you and perhaps some will be provided.

the servant doesnt know numbers; but he does say: I do not know; but we did have more once than we have now; we were 1500 when we set out; now I think we are less than 100, over the centuries many have...wandered in thier faith; some have gone mad; some have lost hope; some just faded away; some turned into to monsters; the worst of which we killed or imprisoned; the Archmagus in Yon tower binds them and seeks the source of the madness, but in truth; I believe that he is on the threshold of maddness or worse himselt; To Isis; his patron; do we pray for his sustanence.

Within this structure; blessed and made holy in Ra's name; is the arm or his brother Osiris. If you are those "of which we wait" who will lead us out of here and into redemption, then the holy relic of Osiris will go with us and woe be unto those with evil taint upon them that approach, for Osiris has no patience for evil or corruption and is mighty still though metaphorically dead.

<Kosan, by your count there is about 80 warriors; maybe 20 preists and magi you have seen; and 40 servants (noncombantants)

Kemnebi listens in on the general murmur of the camp, and the conversations going on around him. He seems to reach a decision, stands up and gathers his robes, and his dignity, around him and moves to one of the priests who is currently unoccupied.

"Excuse me. I overheard you tell Kosan that there was nothing you could do for Aahz." Kemnebi says politely, indicating the stricken godling.

"I was hoping you might be able to tell me how he can be healed. Or at least how to help him regain his strength so that he might heal himself?"

He fingers his centipede necklace absent-mindedly, and Hathor swats at his hand irritably.

My best guess from my analysis; your "friend" is waiting for something; some need; but also I see there is a waiting judgment upon most of you as if other of his ilk are tied to this event through you. So very true; hours only; the culmination of events; the She-Bane of Life with the Bone of Power will reach the apex right above the Gateway to the Underworld as she seeks her mate; The God of Death will move between the Sun God's chariot and block his view of this place so the forces of Darkness can do Evil without being seen; I can feel the power of Five active greater stars of Chaos and the Champion to each will be summoned. This my friends is the nexus; with the Death of the Earth Mother will signal the death of all mortals; for what can sustain the living without a world of life.

<with fire in his eyes does her turn to all>
But we my friends; we will dissappoint them; Save the Earth Mother; and She will aid us and bring forth the Living God; the Green Man from her womb; for with One can All be found! This day my bretheren; this day our QUEST WILL BE FULFILLED and Glory, Glory will there be as LAW and LIFE are restored and WOE and Curse be to those who cringe in darkness and iniquity and serve the enemies of LIFE and LAW!

<this guy has about a 30 charisma; so let me know if you want to get caught up in the fervor of his preaching>

"Um,... 'OW! It hurts!' If I recall correctly." Kemnebi replies absentmindedly as he thinks back to the battle.

"We were fighting in the catacombs. There was an explosion. Most of us were just trying to survive, or help others survive. And, it's possible that he took the brunt of it. He always seemed so untouchable. Maybe he did take the brunt of the blast on purpose. It would be just like him. Crazy kid." Kemnebi mutters with a half-smile. "And, we didn't even realize it." He adds with a whisper.

"And your vision is excellent friend. There seem to be judgments piling up around us lately. For better or worse, fair or otherwise, a lot is riding on us."

Just trying to decide whether or not to accept the cleansing ritual, and finish leveling up! ;P

Still here. She's just not a front-and-center sort. I believe she's leveled, but I just realized that she hasn't chosen spells for the new day yet.

Also wondering if we are waiting for Val to advance the scene? Or are we still waiting for Astinos Cleanzing Ritual?

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Ugh; am sick; am sorry about holding up the cleansing ritual; wanted to make it a nice narrative; but I feel so yuck and uncreative; no football for me today; going home to bed after work.

anything else you guys need from me to move forward?

Sorry to hear your under the weather Vale. Hope you get better quick! I think we kind of were all waiting on each other. I'll take a pause while you get to feeling better. But while we're waiting,...
;)

Kemnebi figits. Kemnebi wriggles. At times he looks like he's holding a conversation with himself. (You presume it's with Hathor, his familiar, still loyally and lazily perched upon his shoulder. But your just, not certain. Although once the feline familiar DOES swat the agitated wizard on the nose. Hard.)

Finally he gets up, leaves his backpack and staff on the cushion he was sitting on, along with the perpetually sleepy kitten, Hathor, and his centipede necklace. (The necklace and Hathor both lie still on the large cushion, but yet manage to look as if they are watching each other warily.) The mage strides towards the priests as if determined to get to them before he changes his mind. And it looks like a close race.

Kemnebi stops in front of the nearest priest, bows stiffly but politely, and clears his throat.

"I wish to be cleansed of any Taint I may have." He says squeakily. He clears his throat again, and continues in a normal tone.

"I do not pretend to be noble, or valiant. And I confess that, with few exceptions, I try not to have too much to do with priests." He says, his eyes sliding of their own accord to where Nebibit is standing. "I have had, too many differences of opinions about destiny." He adds by way of explanation.

"But, my friends are counting on me." He says, his eyes looking suddenly thoughtful at the mention of 'friends'.

"I accept responsibility for my own actions, and will deal with any and all contracts I may have willingly made. But I will also do so of my own free will and without the influence of others on my mind or soul. I wish to be cleansed of any Taint I carry, so I can assist my companions to the best of my abilities. The ties I have made I will keep, and will deal with them in due time."

Kemnebi stands there ramrod straight, as if expecting a fireball, and determined to take it.

In other words, he wants to be cleansed of any 'Bad Taint' he currently has, as he realizes that he is a danger to the group as he is. However, he does NOT wish to lose his connection to June, June's kitten, his centipede necklace, or any other assistance he may be receiving. He understands his 'connections' may give him MORE taint later, but he'll deal with that,... later.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Kemnebi,

They look at each other then at you and one priest speaks:
"There is nothing we can do to cleanse the growing taint within you; while you are not yet upon the path of evil; the taint has taken root and is growing; to save yourself and your soul; you must abandon your power and never use it or any other path to power, wealth, fame or leadership. You must abandon all of these fell creatures that attach themselves to you and silence the voices from the other planes,

but lo, you are magi; it is doubtful you will do these things thus your peril is great; you are like the man who is climbing up the side of a very steep and rocky ravine after the damn breaks from heavy spring rain; the soil beneath your fingers crumbles; the rockes pull free from the walls; your hear the torrent beneath you and see the rising water; will you reach the safety of solid ground or like most; will you be swept away; life itself is uncertainty.

go with our blessing our son, perhaps it will make the difference.

<the bless you with a cleasing blessing, and in game terms, you have less taint>

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

Astinos,
One of the priests does an examination of you; then holds conference with a few other priests. they take you to a place of stone with markings and stones and other configurations that are celestial in meaning, you assume, and holy and diefic in nature. They ask you to relate your story in full measure.
<no one else is around or will be able to hear>
As your story unfolds they are standing in certain places, and move themselves and stones as you continue; sometimes they interceed about a point; or ask more detail; as if they are scrubbing you soul they examine and purge in minute detail of you thoughts and deed and what has been done to you; not looking at you so much as looking into and at your soul and aura and the wounds therin they see but you cannot.
some are such as these:
The contact with the undead city above and the evil there,
The contact with the child god and the wound to your soul from that violence,
the contact with the elder brother child god and his maddness,
the proximity to Cera, champion of chaos and her sword of chaos, the proximity to Lorm and the Candy Cane staff,
the boon of Baelinor Stormwall, upon which the all smile and nod and give praise,
Strong taint of a creature of the outer planes and continue contact and thoughts and feelings and desires and emotions therein, Decidio and Iunious and to some extent the Jewel as well.
the wound and drain of the Shadow; a evil creature of undeath.
the failure at the evil temple,
the wound and battle with the ghost champion gnoll priest of evil, wound and damage of balefire and that evil halbert.
minor taint from and agent of the Fae Court and the Shadow Dragon.
Negotiating with an agent of evil tied the the lower planes, he and that group are very tainted.
the greater active symbol of chaos and the sacrifice the two from the outer planes (keep in mind uppe and lower planes are outer planes while elemental planes are inner planes)

so... they do a massive cleansing ritual; but are not able to clean all of you; they say that with your debt to the gods; you must fulfil your obligition to free the earth goddess, then you will be cleanzed and made whole.

thus the bless and cleanse you and remove much taint, being a paladin; your both protected and more sucesptable to various sources of taint.

-----------------
so after many hours; Astinos returns to the group.

I will give the party members a bit to rejoin and converse and get ready to get underway; there are things you guys should probaby discuss, but it is up to you.

Ok; some activity as if my some unheard signal takes place; the troops outside advance; everyone from the conclave here goes out the gate.

Eight mummy priests go into the pyramid at the base and down into the earth.

the High Priest Mummy Lord stats:

"now; shall we advance; come, let us join the leader of my gaurd; and we shall advance upon the foe and save the Earth; Vanquish Evil; and Save the Girl" <he chuckles> He palms a small keg of beer and drink it down; then pours some over himself incanting a blessing as if baptized in beer; he begins to glow in a holy light; his eyes afire with white flame.

If the party follows; he leads everyone to the fore of his forces and meets with his guard captain with a salute; the guard captain nods; all the forces bow deeply; he speaks to them in Ancient Egyptian, they shout a single word like a Hurrah.

The eight priest bring in a inlaid gold casket, carried on four very stout beams of Ash, which once out of the pyramid; bursts forth in fire and light filling the entire cavern with the presence of the dead diety and holy light.

This light is pure; unadulterated; it burn and makes uncomfortable anyone who does not measure up to the dieties inflexible standards; yet allies it recognizes; though unworthy; none of you are burned to a cinder. Anyone who is Lawful Good; may do all actions within 500ft of this golden sacophagus as Heroic; ie; 4 levels higher than you are on your character sheet. Nuetral Goods; 3 levels higher; Chaotic Goods; 2 levels higher; Lawful nuetrals who are true to the cause; 1 level higher; any other nuetrals who are not evil; no change.

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

The instant the light fills the cavern,

Aahz's body goes rigid; his eyes open very wide; he gasps in a long sucking breath; green and black vapors wisp like tendrils off his body. His horizontal body floats up about 10 ft in the air; it shudderss; it shakes, then relaxes.

Aahz stands up; nods to the casket, then floats back down to the ground; cracks his neck; wiggles his arms.

"ok; thats better; what I miss? whats with all the dirty bandage guys"

The bright light wakes me up. I stretch, feel very well rested and the light makes me somehow feel stronger. I ask whoever is nearby: "Any idea how far away we are from the goddess we're seeking to rescue? Assuming that we will be able to use one of those portals that is."

Male Efreeti, advanced manthing 45HD

The Mummy Lord responds to Caerwyn:

"How far indeed; how do you meausure; time; distance, the obstacles and those that impeed us; by will, by faith; by my measure; not long for I have waited untold centuries to move from this place and finally; we are called to move and fortune and fates are cast in the winds; I have a forboding feeling that a culmination of sorts is to happen; an event of magnitude; then what, that is the question; what wind blows us like sand in the winds of fortune and how little it matters if we only but stay true to our faith and not waver from our goals; ah; all things in good time my young soldier of fortune."

Kemnebi walks back to his 'little friends' and his belongings. He seems both relieved, and frustrated, by the brevity of his blessings as opposed to those of his companions. And his brow is furrowed as he ponders the priests' words concerning his future. But by the time he reaches his cushion, his head is held eye, and there is a gleam in his feline eyes, and the tips of his feline fangs show through in a predatory grin.

Yes, he is firmly ensconced upon his path. There is no doubt about that. He could no more willingly give up magic than he could give up Hathor. Or his arm. No, his path is set. But the destination,...

Whether to rule or to ruin, the decision will be his. Not the old priests back home, or the mysterious Fae and their games, or Powers above or walking with him. Power is meant to be used. It is not the powers you use, but how you wield it that defines you. He will do what is right, the best way he knows how. Because that is who, and what, he is. And those who do not wish to help him had better get out of the way,...

And then Kemnebi's head snaps to the side as the sudden rising of Aahz into the air,...

"Aahz!" He shrieks, and leaps into the air, almost pouncing upon the newly recovered godling in his happiness.

"Your alright! Thank Bast! I was afraid,... well,... nevermind. I'm just glad your alright!" Kemnebi struggles to regain his self-control. He succeeds, mostly, but is still grinning like an idiot as he gives Aahz a VERY brief update on where they are and what's happening. Until he gets to the part where May and June stayed behind to allow them to escape. Then he sobers quickly. But he hastily assures the youth that they are ok.

"They must be. I,... I would know if anything had happened to June. I would know." He mutters almost to himself. He shakes his fur and faces Aahz.

"Aahz, You are a very brave and noble youth. And if you ever scare me like that again, I'll,... I'll,... Oooo,... Come on. We've got a goddess to save. And, We need you." He grins once more at the young Power, and strides back to his belongings, a definite spring in his step.

His belongings fairly fly onto him, at least partially by magic. Last but not least, his centipede necklace craws onto his neck by itself, under the watchful, lazily lidded eyes of Hathor, and his staff leaps into his hand. He spins his staff in a very martial move he has learned by watching the warriors in the group and tucks it behind him.

"Ready. Let's go save the Damsel in Distress!" He grins with all of the unstoppable enthusiasm of youth.

Heheh, Neither. Just playing catchup with my life. (I STILL need to update Kem's PC sheet!) ;P Did you have any suggestions? Despite Kem's dual caster nature, he really is quite limited on offense spells. No real area affects choices, yet. (Let me update and see what happens!) But he has a variety of useful spells that might come in handy. We should coordinate those for sure. I suggest spell up on your best combat spells, especially area affects, and let's co-op on the useful stuff

Yeah, I didn't know if you had noticed the post - that's why I asked. She doesn't have a lot of power yet, but she's a warmage -- offense is what she was trained for on that side. I'll have to revisit my offensive wizard spells. More later...

At the mention of your prayer to Bast:

"Hurrah, Huuzzah; ala akba salam, marhaba Bast"
which to those or you who speak Eygptian, means more or less; hurray, well met; good day and greetings Bast.

yell out several soldiers, and one priest nods and smiles at you as the several soldiers beat their kopesh swords, your keen eyes catch symbols of Bast on them.

Aahz looks at them mystified; then says
"but Bast is dead, killed, she did nothing; it was Osiris who came into my dreams and told the Sleeper to Awaken"

at this the one joyous soldiers stop and cry out; bury their heads in the dirt; other soldiers look at the party with anger, hurt; betrayal; but some with questioning look.

The priests cast warking signs against evil; the Priest of Bast pours oil on himself and lights himself on fire; his dried husk of a body going up in flame like a roman candle.

The High Mummy Lord/Priest takes his two handed mace from his attendants and raises it over his head.

"ATTEND, ATTEND, explain thy words child, loudly that we all might hear; how is this possible <looks around, the party and soldiers are near the entrance where you came in; near the isolated tower, a figure suddenly appears about 30 ft away; heavily robed and reaking with maddness and arcane might and with symbols of the three magic user dieties of the Eyptians. "hold thy words a moment, child, one comes who perhaps still feels his duty, yet I an loath to welcome him" the robed hunch figure comes on to the group; the priests back away from him; two soldiers come to stand on each side of the High Priest.

The High Priest: "Kalan Dhursalam"
Kalan: "High Priest"
High Priest: "why have you left your tower Kalan"
Kalan: "so, you have heard, it is time; written in the earth and in the stars; things change"
High Priest: "Mighty Pharoah still rules; the Gods still live"
Kalan: "ah, perhaps, but not so many as before; let us hear together the childs story, perhaps he is not an apostate; if he speaks true and it agrees with my studies; then so shall I back him"
High Priest: "Speak to us child, what do you mean Bast is dead"
Aahz: "not just Bast; all of them; all but Pharoah, Ra, Isis who Holds wounded Horus at her breast, Thoth, all the rest are dead save the Snake God and the Disfigured Dwarf, but it is true for all peoples everywhere; almost all the gods have been killed."
High Priest: "but who; what could do such a thing; how can this be?"
Kalan: "it is as he says; as I have seen; the breaking, I tried to warn you"
<the soldier look aghast; many cry out; some cut their heads off after finding falling on their swords dont work.>
the High Priest crys out "Duty" a few mumble duty; the High Priest yells out "OUR DUTY BEYOND TIME IS TO OSIRIS; HE HAS SPOKEN TO THE CHILD; THERE IS HOPE....DUTY!"
more soldier reply "duty" this goes on for some moment until he restores order and they all yell DUTY.

High Priest "how can you a child know these things?"
Aahz "my brother told me direct; teased me about it cruelly; he told me Lorm Dragonheart did it; was the catalyst; he knows, my brother; he was there as was my brothers mother whom Lorm betrayed, broke, and killed. It was Lorm who, with others, but lead by Lorm; went to the Island of the Lost God of CHaos; one of the ancient brothers, there is some evidencd that my sister found that he is very ancient; perhaps called Saturn or Saturnus, he was bound on that place and an island grew around him; no man could find this island; the gods hid it to protect mankinds; but Lorm is not a man and was led by the Outsider; the Evil from the Concordant Opposition; that one that Toth and other watch to see if the binding hold. But many of the bindings are broken

<the soldiers and priests gasp, Kalan chuckles>

High Priest "those binding are eternal; they cannot be broken; the Dwarves; the followers of the Silent One, brother of Soulforger; they hold them in each of their holds, those in Egypt. our dwarven cousins and alies; they show them each year at the festival time unending."

Aahz, "I dont know about that; most of Dumathions priests are dead; many holds sacked and looted by Chaos, only three seals hold now; and many of the gods who hold hte world together; who bring law and sanity are gone; killed by the Ancient Brothers older than Zeus, perhaps older than Osiris; almost as old as Frey or Thoth. Thus; according to my little sister; the multiverse is threatened to extinction and dangers untold; undreamed, my brother says the Judge has come; the Mik-Hael stands in the North."

At this point Crow Appears; he looks like an American Indian medicine man; but with a crow feather garment wearing a Crows mask. His voice is like the wind; old as the earth, but as playful as raindrops on a stone garden.

CROW <all can hear him; more than sound, more than spirit; more than mental> "Little Child; speak not more of these riddles; these gems they need to find themselves; or no understanding can happen; they will continue like baby chicks pecking at the ground; not sure what is food and what isnt."

AAHZ; "is there any hope; what can we do; we are but small; these are big things"
CROW: "they will rape and pillage; they will plunder; they will murder and chase all sorts of fantasy untold; but know this; they can be resisted; if they plunder the sun; why; we just trick them and steal it back; has this not been done many times; how can my childeren peck at the small gleaming things upon the ground if my bright bobble is not in the sky to make them gleam; no matter what they do; we can undue; if our hearts are pure and we hold true; listen; listen to the wind and gain wisdom; feel the earth for truth; watch the sway of plants to know what is in harmony"

CROW vanishes

AAHZ; "ok; so you got it; Lorm did it; let the Ancient Brothers out who killed the most of the gods in the world; but the battle with Chaos is much older; the five seals we know of had been broken before that and is probably not Lorms fault no matter how much my older brother hates him and blames him. So, I have reservations about this group being on this quest; thus I came to watch; see if they are worthy; my sister says yes; my brother says no, I have not yet decided. so; can we save Mother Earth? I dont know; but we gotta do something; and these guys are doing something; but do they make it better or worse; I dont know"

High Priest "great burden for one so young"
AAhz sighes.
Kalan "it is as they say; untold forces moving; magic is growing; becoming unstable; laws are changing; maddness is ever at the brink"
High Priest frowns
The Captain: "what is your command"
High Priest: "we go on, ever on carrying our god if we must"
Kalan "I will join you of course, duty"
High Priest: "of course, duty....Move Out" he gives the signal

Kalan joins in near Kenembi and Fox; his aura is very cold.

Male Drow 5th lvl Fighter/2 Order of the Bow (Crossbow) Initiate

I grimace as I watch the undead Egyptians try, and kill themselves at the news that there Gods are dead. Bringing back vivid memmories of the hopelessness my people felt at the loss of Her Most Divine. Blood, and guts splashing it the streets, and alleys. Whimpers, and crying coming from the darkness. Yet these are undead, they have no blood or heart to give. While the emotion is there it is just a mockery of life. I try to recompose myself as the group forms up to leave toward the final battle that will decide the Earth Mothers freedom or death. Either way my life is forfiet as I pledged what seems like a lifetime ago. To Namaste, The Druid, The Blade, to The Oracle, and the Sun God as witness. Succeed, or there will be no tomarrow...

Kemnebi watches, mouth agape, at the conversation and the undead Egyptians reactions to it.

"Sometimes, I forget that he's not a normal kid." He murmurs aside to Nebibit.

Kemnebi looks thoughtful as they prepare and start moving.

"So," He says softly to no one, but loud enough to be heard by those nearby.

"One humanoid CAN make a difference,..."

"That was a tad extreme." Is all Nebbibit can think to mumble in responce to Kemnebi's comment clearly somewhat shocked at the reaction.

Kemnebi looks at Nebibit. His expression saying that is clearly the understatement of the week. All he murmurs aloud is, "Just a little, yeah." As they form up into some semblance of order.

In the mind Link: Sack-o-Potatoes What blasphemy are you speaking that ye still are uncertain of our worth. After the times we protected and saved you.

It must be your godlingness that make you so all high and mighty casting your lofty gaze upon those below your worth, yet ye and all your kind forget all too often that with out us there is no you.

You may wiggle your fingers from on high but it is us who are supposedly below your nose that you think must be judged by you who end up getting the job done and don't forget that.

I do nay see your brother or sister or lofty gods here going to set the earth right I see undead minions who have kept their faith untold millennial after death and this paltry party of unkempt rabble.

Sure we nay be perfect a Holy fighter who in may cities would be imprisoned for his womanizing and lusty demeanor. A mage who has no concept of where his true power is so he barters parts of himself to any who will garner him power. A long eared flighty drow who can nay decide to jump on his sword and end it all or continue and complete something valuable for the good of the world. A mageling who hides behind the mask of the emperor who is new to here power yet she is here standing her ground while others look on and view from their lofty places. Let us not forget our cleric who can not decide who she wishes to be with, who she can befriend, or who will cause her harm by her association with, so she keeps her emotions bottled up inside until it is to late. Yet she is here marching to this epic battle. Or our guide who started this as merely an assignment by his boss' but he has yet to shirk his duty. Lastly let us not forget me the mighty fighter from the dwarven holds who has stood by while his brother risked all to stay by his family to protect them. Yet I am here for even I needed adventure and a reason to be remembered beyond me own family.

So here we be this party of misfits who are marching to fight the evil that threatens this world.

So I say BAH to your judgment go on being a godling and flutter back to you throne on high this be a battle for men who need no judge while they still breath life in their lungs.

We go to Battle and possibly death and such is our lot in life live well and a geed death I need no more, beyond beer during the interlude. So stay and fight or go home. We March Fox you are in charge of the casters who need to be in the back. Fighter to the fore we Go. May Dumathion praise you all.

GM note: keep in mind that to become undead due to unfulfilled quest; you have to be a fanatic; these guys are fanatical followers of a pantheon; so the purpose of their life is in jeapardy; and being a historian this response if fairly typical; these people are not as blaise as we are today about religeon; keep in mind their dieties walk among them and are sometimes personally known and are often father/mother figures or more.
