Kemras Iuvescanu |

Kemras grimaces, letting the giant fall from his mind as he focuses more completely on the ogre. With the focus keen in his mind, he lashes out with a flurry of thrusts at his foe.
Swapping studied combat to the ogre now.

Furnok stabs, then bonks, and then bonks again. The Giant resists bonks, but Furnok learned that lesson previously, and bonks with the stabby end of the lucerne hammer. This Giant is dying, soon. His torso is riddled with arrows and stab wounds. Blood is pouring from his torso, and soon enough there just won't be any more left.
Meanwhile, Kemras studies the Ogre he's fighting, and stabs deep into the Ogre's belly. The Ogre may be easy to hit, but difficult to kill. It slashes at Kemras again, this time with enough speed that Kemras can't dodge it. Fortunately, Kemras' chain shirt protects him from the cutting edge, and will only leave a minor bruise.
The Ogre that Wabbit is hanging off of draws his sword, and tries to cut and stab at the Halfling. However, each time he swings, Wabbit just switches to the other ear, further driving the Ogre into his rage.
Suddenly, the cry of a goblin is heard in the distance, way up in the sky.
Wabbit and Cleo's turn.

Wabbit completely eviscerates the Ogre, causing it and Wabbit to tumble to the ground. Aggah fires two more enchanted arrows into the Giant's torso, bringing it almost to the point of death. The Giant realizes that death is imminent, and tries to withdraw and flee the keep, but Furnok's elongated lucerne hammer can still deal the final blow.
Furnok and Kemras' turn. Furnok can take an AoO against the Giant if he wants.

Now fully focused on the ogre, Kemras unleashes another barrage of attacks. As he does, he feels a sense of cool, almost effortless harmony come to his limbs as he puts into practice what Kaven taught him years ago now.

Kemras nearly guts the Ogre with his second stab, but the Ogre continues to fight to the death. It swings it sword ineffectually at the Half-Elf, and howls with pain and frustration. Without initially realizing it, Kemras notices that a crossbow bolt is stuck to his magical shield.
The goblin plummets from the sky, wailing his death cry. He lands right next to Kemras, and explodes in a dark cloud of nightmare. Shapes form in the cloud, and screams of many people echo throughout. Yet when the cloud fades, only Kemras is left standing. Yet, the lifeless forms of the Ogre and Jakardros nearby ooze green liquid from their pores, and soon the bodies rise as green ectoplasmic creatures. Their armour and weapons sluff off to the side, and they scream silently in agony. Now compelled to fight Kemras, they scrape across the ground like floating zombies, leaving traces of fluid as they go. Kemras easily dodges their attacks.
15 feet around Kemras is slightly darker than usual, and swirls with translucent forms of horrifying images.

Kemras discovers a rough estimate of what is not just a regular spell, but a Hag ritual. The ritual involves bombarding a soul with energy from the ethereal plane to create a devastating explosion of necromantic energy and living nightmares. The process completely destroys the soul, removing it from the soul river cycle. It cannot be resurrected by any means, even by wish or miracle.
1 round after infusion, the soul explodes for 8d8 negative energy damage, within a 15ft radius. Half of that damage between 15 and 30 feet radius. Reflex save for half. Upon taking any damage, targets must make a Will save to resist having night terrors, which deals wisdom damage and makes resting ineffective. Any corpses that die from the damage, or have died in the last hour has their souls pulled back to their bodies, and rise as ectoplasmic creatures. The ectoplasmic creatures are uncontrolled, but are violent and mindless. Any creature that dies within the 15ft radius of the explosion in the next 2 rounds also rises as an ectoplasmic creature.

Cleo Gingerberry |

Aggah turns pale as the goblin explodes, she turns in horror to Cleo, who answers with a reassuring shoulder pat and "No I don't think it means you will explode too." she hopes at least.
"Did anyone see where the goblin fell from?" she yells as she rushes to help Kemras, touching his back and willing his wounds to heal.

Cleo Gingerberry |

Sorry, hard to tell on the map.

BOO!
Wabbit leaps down and skewers the goblin manning/goblining the crossbow. And watches in grim satisfaction as the rest of them scamper away.
He cuts the crossbows bowstring, ruining it for further goblin mischief.
and then returns to the top of the tower keeping a wary eye for danger from above. HEY! come in here so we can talk without weird things dropping on us from the sky

Cleo Gingerberry |

there is no way Cleo is climbing that so... Cleo and Aggah follow quickly behind Furnok.

Kemras Iuvescanu |

Kemras looks up at the tower grinning faintly. Yes, I don't think that's plausible. He follows the other two, seeking a door.

Wabbit the Paladin of Chaldira |

Is its not possible for the group to join him in the tower Wabbit will leave the tower and talk with them in the tunnels or anywhere that's safe from goblin bombardment about how to handle the threat above

DM TreasureFox |

Kemras doesn't notice any traps.
The double doors are made of stout wood that have seen a few scrapes and impacts, but nothing particularly damaging. The hinges are not on the outside, and it's likely there's a wooden beam inside to bar the entrance. That is, if anyone noticed the fight and decided to lock the doors.
The double doors have hardness 5, 30hp, and a burst DC of 25. They take half damage from weapons that are not 2-handed axes or rams, or siege weapons. Piercing damage does no damage, and attacks using Dexterity deal no damage. The double doors take half damage from elemental damage, except that they take full fire damage from being set on fire. Each door counts as a large unattended non-magical object for the purposes of spells.

Kemras Iuvescanu |

Kemras looks at his stronger companions. "We could try just opening it. If we're lucky, they might not have barred it." He sucks on his teeth. "Though I don't think the gods smile that much upon us."
